If the laminating pouch does not go in straight or gets stuck
during lamination, press and hold down the reverse button
(the reverse indicator will light) to reverse the laminating
pouch back to the entrance.

When the pouch film is out from the exit, do not remove it by force.
Wait until the pouch film is out completely; then remove it immediately
so that the end will not bend due to overheating.

This unit is equipped with auto shut-down device after being on
for 8 hours. This is to prevent over heating of the unit. The ready
power indicator will blink following the beeping signals.

When you have finished laminating, make sure to turn off the power and disconnect the plug.

CLEANING THE ROLLER
Should the laminating machine be used for a long period of time, you will notice a residue of additives
which is left on the rollers. This residue has come from the pouch during lamination. So cleaning the
rollers periodically is necessary.

Turn the laminator on for about 30 minutes.
Fold the copy paper into half and let it pass through the rollers for about 10 times to clean the
additive residuals on the rollers.

Before cleaning this machine, make sure it is turned off and unplugged.
Wipe with soft cloth.
When necessary, wipe with neutral cleaning agent and rub off with a clean cloth.
TROUBLE SHOOTING AND ITS CAUSES
The pouch is not sufficiently well sealed or the lamination has opaque areas on the
document:
The temperature is too low. Switch the setting button towards a higher temperature.
When the green “ready” light is on, the laminating machine is ready again.
Repeat the lamination operation using the new temperature setting.
The laminated document has folds or is deformed:
The temperature is too high. Turn the temperature button slightly towards a lower temperature setting.
Repeat the lamination operation using the new temperature setting.

SETTING UP
CAUTION
Install the back directing pad next to the exit of the laminator.
Please read this manual before use.
Install the laminating machine on a stable work surface, close to an easily accessible socket.
Leave enough space behind the machine to let the documents pass freely from the machine.
To prevent electric shocks, DO NOT use the laminating machine close to water; DO NOT spill water on
the laminating machine, nor on the lead or on the socket.
DO NOT use the laminating machine if the electric lead is damaged.
DO NOT leave the electric lead in contact with a warm surface.
DO NOT leave the electric lead hanging from a cupboard or a shelf.
DO NOT laminate metal objects.
Only use special film for laminating.
Make sure that the total thickness to be laminated is not more than 0.6mm.
DO NOT put the laminating pouch in crookedly as this will prevent the pouch film getting stuck during
lamination.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Before use, it is advisable to try out and become familiar with the laminating process.
We advise that you practice with none original artwork.
This unit is equipped with an adjustable temperature control system. Please make sure that an appropriate
temperature is selected for the items being laminated. When the reading indicator stays on and there is a
“beep” the laminator has reached the correct temperature. This may take up to 15 minutes.

When selecting a higher temperature with the temperature adjustor, the ready indicator will temporarily go
off whilst heating up. When the desired temperature is reached, the ready indicator will light again. Now it
is ready to laminate items that require a higher temperature.
COLD LAMINATING
THE REASON FOR COLD LAMINATING
Cold laminating is for protecting materials that might be damaged by heat such as photographs, and
print-outs from ink-jet prints.
HOW IT WORKS
Cold laminating pouches use pressure to laminate your heat sensitive documents. Pressure is used to
cause an adhesive to bind the laminating material to the item being laminated.

Next to the exit, install the back directing pad to the unit.
Make sure that there is no object obstructing the exit to the laminator.
Insert the power plug into the mains power supply. Press the “ON” button.
There will be a “beep” and the red power button will come on.

Temperature Adjustor
It is recommended to carry out the cold lamination before hot lamination to avoid waiting for the
system to cool down.
Use a special Lamicold film for cold lamination.
Turn the temperature button to “COLD”.
Position the document to be laminated within the film, turn the button to “ON”.
Your document comes out of the back of the laminated machine. Laminated documents can be
trimmed to size if required.

Before laminating, make sure to leave at least 3-5mm space
at the edges of the laminating pouch.(see fig 3 & 4) Make sure
that it is not crooked. Send the sealed side of the laminating
pouch into the entrance of laminating machine. A carrier sheet
is not required when using this machine.
