Overview
SafeStore is a basic utility for storing passwords and other sensitive information and
protecting them with a global password.
SafeStore is an electronic wallet for java phone. You can use SafeStore to store your
personal and private information, including bank account, credit card, membership,
general details, notes, password and website, into your mobile phone.
All data is encrypted prior to storage using 448-bit Blowfish algorithm using a password
never save in the phone.
SafeStore has been tested under Nokia Series 40 and 60.
Although it has been fully tested, we still recommend you always backup your important
data to other support; Store a personal information only into the mobile phone isn't a
secure way.

The new versions is incompatible with previous version, but for security reason you can
upgrade with this steps :

Chapter 4 - Configuring Access Permissions
For read and write permission in same device is necessary to configure this privileges,
otherwise SafeStore cannot save log, import or backup data.
Sony Ericsson phones:
--------------------Go to either Applications or Games (depending on where you installed SafeStore).
Highlight SafeStore, but instead of opening it, press More->Permissions.
Select Read User Data and set the access permissions to "Ask once" or "Ask Always".
Select Write User Data and set the access permissions to "Ask once" or "Ask Always".
Nokia Series 60 phones:
----------------------Go to Tools > Manager > SafeStore > Options > Suite settings
Select Read User Data and set the access permissions to "Session" or "Ask Always".
Select Edit User Data and set the access permissions to "Session" or "Ask Always".
Nokia Series 40 phones:
----------------------Go to SafeStore ->Options->Application access->Phone access
Select Read User Data and set the access permissions to "Session" or "Ask Always".
Select Write User Data and set the access permissions to "Session" or "Ask Always".

Chapter 5 - Before start SafeStore
SafeStore need to generate a Registration Key, if Bluetooth is active, it try to use a unique
Bluetooth address, otherwise generate a random sequence.
If Registration Key is link to your device (Bluetooth address), you can install license key
any time you want on the same device. Otherwise the license is valid only for one
installation, and if you must update firmware or your device need restore a system backup,
you left a SafeStore license.
You can try to ask, Aldea’s helpdesk a new copy of license, but Aldea are not obligate to
generate new license.
Suggestion : Active Bluetooth before start SafeStore for first time.

Chapter 6 - Start SafeStore
The first time you start SafeStore, parameters form is show. You must define a
logon/cipher password. It must have 8 characters.We suggest to create a hard password.
Don’t forget this password, nobody, Aldea helpdesk include, can recover it.
The password isn’t save on device. but a fingerprint generated with your password is use
to authenticate logon.

Chapter 8 - Backup
Backup save all data in a cipher file with password specified in Menu->Parameters.
The file have the format SafeStoreYYYYMMDD.jsp.
where YYYYMMGG is backup date.
The extension is image format for secure reason.
The file is cipher with password specified in Parameters
The backup need to access to file system so, depending on the device's firmware,
configure permission and when the system could ask confirm to access the files with the
read and write privileges, please answer yes otherwise the backup is impossible.
Backup save only data not SafeStore configuration (Parameters).
If XML Backup parameter is active, the backup generate a plain text in XML format too.

Chapter 9 - Import data
Import: Import data from file into SafeStore.
Is possible import Backup file o csv file (this type only for Passwords Category).
The file must exist in directory specified in Menu->Parameters.
The importing data have priority in existing item in SafeStore.
If items already exist, they will be overwriting by the importing data.

3. Chessboard : Is a real Chessboard/ Naval Combat. Bank ask one or two key in

In SafeStore view item you can see a chessboard and you can move with cursor for found
a specific cell.

Chapter 13 - KeePass (Desktop utility) integration
Now you can import/export data in/to SafeStore from famous free password manager
KeePass Password Safe.
For install the plug-in download it from www.aldea.it/safestore and copy
SafeStorePlugIn.dll and BouncyCastle.Crypto.dll in KeePass directory (where there is
KeePass.exe)
In importing if there is a same key name the plugin check last modification field, if the
importing field is latest the KeePass key are overwrite.
This plug-in is tested with KeePass Password Safe 2.06 Beta and it is incompatible with
KeePass Password Safe 2.05 Alpha version.
