Frequently asked questions

The in-built check valve prevents water from draining back past the pump when not in operation, which could cause damage.

The 'MOTOR PROTECTION DEVICE' is an automatic reset thermal overload that protects the motor from overheating. It will trip if there is low voltage at the pump, excessive temperature in the pump enclosure, or the motor is not free to turn.

This could be due to low voltage at the motor terminals, the motor being in direct sunshine or a hot environment, or the motor being blocked. Check the motor terminals, move the pump to a cooler location, or clear any obstruction.

This could be due to the suction line and pump body not being filled with water, a leaking foot valve, air leaks in the suction lines, air trapped in the suction lines, no water at the source, or a valve on the suction or delivery lines being closed. Check each of these possibilities and correct the issue.

Do not use petroleum-based fluids or solvents (e.g., Oils, Kerosene, Turpentine, Thinners, etc.) on the plastic pump components or seal components.
