Operating Recommendations
Here are a few recommendations that you should follow when operating your air
The heat pump function of the air conditioner absorbs heat
from outside air and brings it indoors. As the temperature of the
outside air drops, the heating performance of air conditioner
will decrease. If you find that the room is not warm enough,
using an additional heating
appliance is recommended.
Frost & Defrost
When outside temperature is low but humidity is high,
frost may form on the outdoor unit at HEAT mode.
If this happens:
The heating operation stops.
The defrost mode will be triggered automatically for about 10
The steam produced on the outdoor unit in the defrost mode
is safe.
No intervention is required ; after about 10 minutes, the air conditioner operates
again normally.
High indoor
and outdoor
If both indoor and outdoor temperatures are high and the
air conditioner is running at
HEAT mode, the outdoor unit’s fan and compressor may
stop at times.
This is normal ; simply wait until the air conditioner switches
on again.
The simultaneous
When you use the heat pump model, it is impossible to operate HEAT and COOL mode of several indoor units at the same
Power failure
If a power failure occurs while the air conditioner is operating,
the unit will be switched off. When the power returns, the air
conditioner starts up again automatically.
Airconditioner should be used only in the single closed room.
Effective airconditioner operation can be guarantee if all windows and doors in the room are closed.

Temperature and Humidity Ranges
The following table indicates the temperature and humidity ranges, within which the air conditioner
can be used.
If the air conditioner is used at...
High temperature
The automatic protection feature may be triggered and the air
conditioner stopped.
Low temperature
A water leakage or some other malfunction may happen if the heat
exchanger freezes.
High humidity levels
Water may condense on and drip from the surface of the indoor unit
if it is used for a long periods.
Outdoor Temperature

27°C or less
- 5°C to 43°C approx.
18°C to 32°C approx.
80% or less
- 5°C to 43°C approx.
18°C to 32°C approx.
The standardized temperature for heating is 7°C. If the outdoor temperature drops to 0°C or below,
the heating capacity can be reduced depending on the temperature condition.
If the cooling operation is used at over 32°C(indoor temperature), it does not cool at its full capacity.

Installation and Maintenance
Air conditioners are technically complex products that require regular maintenance.
Failure to heed to these requirements and Operation Recommendations could result in
reduction of product life span as well as breakdowns of expensive parts.
It is recommended to perform installation works by organizations with certified state licenses and Samsung
certificate. Contacts for certified organizations you can receive in “Samsung Contact Center” by phones,
mentioned in Warranty card and also at web site
 Service will not be available for the outdoor unit where our servicemen can not access and the cost of
moving the outdoor unit to the service area will be borne by the customer.
Service works means elimination of defects, caused by Manufacturer. Service works are performed by
authorized Samsung service centers; you can find contacts in list, supplied with Aircon or at web site
Preventive maintenance means periodically carried out cleaning, testing, tuning of Aircon, necessary for
it’s normal work. It is recommended to execute Preventive maintenance by organization with certified state
licenses and Samsung certificate. You can find contacts in list, supplied with Aircon or at web site
Recommendations for Preventive maintenance:
 At least once a year engage a certified specialist to carry out maintenance works,
preferably during dry and warm periods.
Maintenance works shall include:
- Cleaning heat exchanger of indoor and outdoor unit
- Cleaning drainage system
- Checking the pressure level (refrigerant quantity)
- Checking the operation modes of the system
- Top-up of refrigerant, if necessary (usually once per 2 years)
 Please refer to page “Cleaning your Air conditioner”.
* If the installation and/or maintenance works are implemented by uncertified organizations or by service
centers not authorized by manufacturer, the manufacturer cannot guarantee initial quality of the
air conditioner and Customer will loose 2 years free of charge service.
* Every Installation and Preventive maintenance works shall be paid for by the air conditioner owner,
since the product warranty does not cover any of these works.
* Aforementioned expenses on proper installation and maintenance works will be compensated
by the long and reliable air conditioner operations.
It is forbidden to use air conditioner at below 0°C (outdoor temperature) because it may cause breakdowns of
expensive parts.
