The complete IT Asset Management solution giving organizations 100% visibility and consolidation of their physical, contractual and financial IT assets in one central location. Managing IT assets to keep costs down, improve service levels, and ensure compliance with regulations and licensing can be tough. With Netop Asset Control, you can proactively track all your company’s IT assets regardless of where they are. Straightforward license management and software metering ensure compliancy and efficient use of all software. With constantly updated information, using our efficient scan agent and flexible reporting, you will have real‐time information for planning budgets, system upgrades and software rollouts. With seamless integration with the Netop Remote Control Guest, a simple right‐click means you can perform additional remote management tasks from a single console with ease. Technical overview Netop Asset Control consists of various different components including: • Manager – the administrative console used to access the database and manage your IT assets • Agent – small component that runs on your target Windows machines and collects hardware and software inventory • Database – central SQL 2005 database that stores the collected hardware and software inventory • Import – SQL job that monitors agent repository and imports scanned data into the database • Sync – SQL job that synchronises your Active Directory with the Manager Netop® and the red kite are registered trademarks of Danware Data A/S.
