The Caprice Visor Mounts 7160‐0448 & 7160‐0449 provide the user with the capability to secure a mobile camera to the passenger side visor. Each system includes a Max
3
all axis knuckle that allows the user to orient the camera in several positions. The 7160‐0448 mount, includes a second knuckle to mount a display.
Tools Needed
5/64‐in Hex wrench (Allen wrench)
3/16‐in Hex wrench (Allen wrench)
Small Flat Screwdriver or Knife
Installation
Material Needed
#10 Self drilling screws
1. Remove the passenger side visor retainer clip near the center of the vehicle headliner. The clip is assembled with a wedge/pin which must be pried out with a small flat screwdriver or knife blade.
Also remove the metal clip inserted into the cutout in the headliner. Refer to FIG 1, 2 & 3.
2. Reassemble the metal clip and the visor retainer clip to the plate supplied with the Caprice Visor
Mount Assembly.
3. Position the Visor Mount Assembly over the cutout in the headliner so the metal clip extends into the headliner cutout FIG 5.
4. Secure the Visor Mount to the headliner using a minimum of four self‐tapping fasteners FIG 4 & 5. a. Self‐tapping fasteners are not supplied. b. Caution: Self tapping fasteners that are too long may go through roof of vehicle.
5. Secure the camera to the front camera bracket using (2) ¼‐20 x .50 socket button head cap screw,
(2) ¼‐in lock washer, and (4) ¼‐in nylon flat washers. Refer to FIG 4.
6. Position the camera as desired.
7. Secure the display to the display bracket using hardware supplied by the display manufacturer
(7160‐0448 units).
8. Insert and tighten #10‐32 socket head set screws to lock the Max

knuckles in place.
