This opportunity is proudly supported by: INTERNAL RELATIONS / COMMUNICATIONS INTERNSHIP (TEMPORARY FULL-TIME CONTRACT – TWELVE (12) MONTHS) FOUNDATION NBRHC-NORTH BAY Reporting to the President & CEO of the NBRHC Foundation, the Intern will assist in the creation and implementation of internal (Hospital Family) communications and fundraising initiatives at the North Bay Regional Health Centre. The intern will help coordinate the Vendor Program and Christmas at the Hospital along with the development of a plan to help sustain these programs. Providing support to the Development Officer, Annual Giving for internal marketing of Our Hospital Walk/Run, the Grateful Family Program, Hospital Family Campaign and Lottery is also a primary responsibility to this role. Specific key duties and responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: Researching modern marketing and communication trends and techniques; Composing and implementing small communication plans; Implementing information gathered from this research into the Foundation’s internal campaigns; Creating engaging marketing materials with high visual impact targeting Health Centre staff; Managing various Foundation databases; Assisting with Foundation fundraising events. Qualifications University or College graduate who has graduated within the last three (3) years from an accredited college or university. The candidate must be a graduate of a post-secondary degree or diploma program. Preference will be given to candidate with education in related fields of Fundraising & Resource Development, Marketing, Communications and Business Administration. The position will be a first full-time employment in the candidate’s field of study. The intern must also not have previously participated in an internship program. Must be able to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion. Excellent interpersonal skills and highly developed organizational skills. Demonstrated experience and ability to use various software such as Wordpress, InDesign (or other desktop publishing software), HTML, Microsoft Suite. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse group of staff and volunteers. Valid G Class driver’s license required and personal vehicle or access to a reliable vehicle is necessary as occasional travel is required. Ministry of Transportation driver’s abstract required.
