Frequently asked questions

The safety catch prevents accidental firing by disconnecting the sear control rods connected to the trigger. Keep the rifle on safe except when about to fire.

You can adjust the barrel convergence by following these instructions: fix the barrel in a clamp, dismantle the front sight's base, insert a brass rod into the upper barrel's muzzle, exert an upward traction on the rod, remove the adjustment ring, select a ring with a larger or smaller diameter, position the selected ring, and coat the front sight's base screw and the rear sight panel's blocking screw' thread with Loctite 243. This adjustment should be performed by a professional gunsmith.

After each hunting session, clean and oil your CCS 525 Express using only a good and fine gun oil. Spray some Légia Spray in the barrel bores and allow the product to act for some minutes. Push a cleaning rod equipped with an oil-soaked flannelette patch through the barrels. If necessary, pass a phosphor bronze cleaning brush also soaked with oil through the bore. Once cleaned, dry the barrels and oil them with Leggia Spray until the next time you use the rifle.

Store the rifle in a dry and moderately airy place, away from strong sources of heat, to allow the wood to release any absorbed moisture. Keep the gun and ammunition in separate places out of reach of children. Consider using a Browning safe to store your rifle.
