2. Install Roof Module
2.1 Safety Notes
The AutoFarm system must be powered OFF when installing or removing the roof module.
The supplied locking pin or a padlock must be in place whenever the vehicle is in operation.
The roof module must be removed when transporting the vehicle at speeds above 30 m.p.h.
Make sure that you are in a stable position on the tractor platform when removing the roof module, so that you do not fall or drop the roof module.
2.2 Install the Mounting Rail
Remove the two rear cab roof bolts and use them to secure the AutoFarm mounting rail.

Secure with this bolt. Drill a hole on the tractor bracket and secure with a second bolt.
3.5 Adjust the Sensor and Linkage Arms
Adjust linkage arm length and/or linkage bracket position to obtain between 3200 and 3800 counts. Turn the wheels all the way in both directions to make sure the linkage arms can move without interference. Note:
This step is done during the calibration and tuning steps.
9
4. Install the User Terminal
4.1 Assemble and Mount the User Terminal Bracket
Mount the bracket assembly as shown in the photos below. Use the longer bolts and spacer bushings supplied in the installation kit. Secure to two threads on the right side of the cab post

6.5 Connect the Hydraulic Hoses
The AutoFarm installation uses two existing hoses to connect the AutoFarm valve to the steering cylinders.
Two short hoses in the installation kit connect the tractor steering unit to the AutoFarm valve. Follow the procedure below.
hose #3 hose #1 hose #2 hose #4
1. Remove hose #1 from the tractor steering unit and connect to the left “steer out” port on the AutoFarm valve.
2. Remove hose #2 from the tractor steering unit and connect to the right “steer out” port on AutoFarm valve.
3. Connect the AutoFarm left “steer in” hose #3 to the tractor steering unit where hose #1 was removed.
4. Connect the AutoFarm right “steer in” hose #4 to the tractor steering unit where hose #2 was removed.
21
Attach steer IN/OUT hoses to the hydraulic valve. (Top down view shown below.)

23
Connect hoses to steering unit.
1. Install a “tee” adapter on the tank, pressure, and load sense ports on the tractor steering unit in the positions shown above.
2. Connect the three original tractor hoses to the bottom on each “tee.”
3. Connect the AutoFarm Return hose between the side of the tank “tee” and the tank port on the
AutoFarm valve.
4. Connect the AutoFarm Pressure hose between the side of the pressure “tee” and the pressure port on the
AutoFarm valve.
5. Connect the AutoFarm Load Sense hose between the side of the load sense “tee” and the load sense port on the AutoFarm valve.
24
6.7 Installing Optional Orifice to Load Sense
If the steering is very slow or does not turn the wheels in AutoSteer mode, you must install an orifice as shown below. The orifice is provided in the hose installation kit shipped after August, 2005. Install the orifice between the load sense tee and the load sense port on the steering unit.
