“The Top Restaurant has been creating fresh, delicious, made-from-scratch
specialties for 12 years running. We serve vegan, vegetarian, and meat
loving entrees, as well as appetizers and desserts for all walks of life. These
include fresh salads, natural steaks and burgers, tempeh, and as many
locally produced ingredients as we can muster. We offer a tantalizing full
liquor bar with fresh made cocktails, 50 plus bottled beers, and a wide
selection of rotating cold craft brew on tap.”
“We believe in growing our community by engaging intentionally in the
farm to table process and living our vision of creative resiliency.
We seek to bring our community together with love, warmth and
hospitality over delicious, healthy food.”
“Cymply Fresh is a farm-to-table concept restaurant growing its own fresh
food on-site and recycling its kitchen waste back into the garden with
Gainesville Compost.”
“Here at The Wine & Cheese Gallery, we select local, organic produce and
meats, with offerings of what is in season whenever possible. Supporting
our local community and economy is of great importance to us.”
“For over 10 years Clif Nelson, Chef and Owner of Paramount Grill, has
been serving unique and innovative cuisine in downtown Gainesville,
Florida. Our wait staff is attentive without being intrusive. We use only the
best, freshest ingredients and most everything is house made including
our fabulous desserts. We serve beer and wine, of which there is a nice
variety and is reasonably priced.”
“East End, which emphasizes local ingredients and sustainability attempts
to offer daily specials that play off of in-season, locally available items. The
restaurant will even post each day’s specials on their Facebook page, so
you can check out the offerings before you head over.”
“Tempo Bistro To Go offers healthy, homemade sandwiches, salads and
soups in Gainesville, FL. Our signature creations are made as often as
possible from local, often organic and mindful ingredients and prepared in
an artful manner. With multiple vegetarian options and daily soup and
sandwich specials, we offer a variety of mouthwatering choices. Anything
is possible, just inquire.”
“Emiliano’s Café has always been committed to giving back to the
community that has supported us for the last 29 years. Because of this
we’ve launched our own farm to table initiative. While it is difficult or
unfeasible to source the majority of our ingredients locally it is not
impossible to contribute to the sustainability movement that is so rich and
strong here in Gainesville. Every Wednesday Chef Shanti Riesch has
committed to producing a featured tapa sourced from the vendors at the
Downtown Farmers Market. She will tap in to the diverse, seasonal
ingredients to produce a unique dish that highlights the best that
Gainesville has to offer. Persimmon jam-goat cheese canapé with organic
micro greens on fresh rosemary sourdough baguette or a creamy shitake
mushroom soup with organic African spinach and garlic chives with a
shitake-parmesan puff pastry are just a couple of examples of what will be
served. Sommelier Harry Rivera will provide a wine pairing to compliment
the weekly selection. In addition, each week the selection will include
acknowledgement of the sourcing so that you may continue to support the
people that make the Farmers Market and our community so special!”

“Mildred's Big City Food was first established in Gainesville, in the summer
of 1999. One of three restaurants owned and operated by Tara and Bert
Gill, it's mission has been the mantra of the Gills' approach to cooking at
all of their businesses: To serve fresh, delicious, and local food. That means
working with local farmers to use sustainable and organic produce,
cooking with fresh seafood caught from the waters surrounding Florida,
and serving choice cuts of a variety of meats cooked to perfection. With a
constantly changing menu that balances simplicity with sophistication, the
staff at Mildred's are dedicated to learning new techniques and dishes.
Come for lunch, dinner, coffee, dessert or drinks, and experience the food
and atmosphere that garners Mildred's the Golden Spoon Award year
after year.”
“Opened in June of 2011, Blue Gill Quality Foods is owned and operated by

local farmers and educating our community on the benefits of supporting
locally grown, sustainable agriculture. Our passion for delicious and fresh
combinations of flavors can be seen in our eclectic menu that is constantly
updated based on the seasonal availability of ingredients. Come and enjoy
our friendly and casual atmosphere for lunch and dinner, coffee, dessert
