Quick Installation Guide will help you to configure iBall Baton
iB-W4G311N 4G/3G MIMO Wireless-N Router quickly & easily.
For detailed instructions, please refer to the User Guide on website

router supporting 3G/4G & Broadband WAN Internet connection.

1.2 Rear Panel and Description
Hardware Connection
Broadband Connection
Connect the LAN Port of Router to your PC with RJ45 Ethernet cable.
Connect the ISP RJ45 Cable (Internet Link) to LAN/WAN Port
Connect the power adapter to Power interface of the device.
4G/3G/2G WAN Connection
Plug the 4G/3G/2G USB Modem (Data Card) into the router USB slot
2) Configure the 4G connection in the router as per your ISP settings
connection available.
Note: Check the SIM card is inserted properly in USB modem before inserting
into the router
LED Indicators
Power switch, power on or power off the device.
Power interface, for connecting to the power adapter.
Press the button and hold it for 1 second to 5
seconds, to enable WLAN.
Press the button and hold it for more than 5
seconds, to enable WPS function.
Reset to the factory default configuration. Keep the
device powered on and insert a needle into the hole
for 3 seconds, then release it. The device is reset to
the factory default configuration.

RJ-45 Port for connecting Patch cord to your system
LAN port
RJ-45 Ethernet has two functions.
LAN1/WAN  WAN Port - Connect the ISP link to WAN Port
 LAN Port - Use as LAN Port to connect to your
system LAN port
Web Configuration
Network Configuration on PC
Take Windows as an example.
1) Click Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and
Sharing Centre.
2) Change Adapter Settings > Local Area Connection. Right-click Local
Area Connection and choose Properties.
Double-click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
Select Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server
address automatically and then click OK. If you select Use the
following IP address, set IP address of the PC as 192.168.1.X
(2~254), subnet mask as 255. 255.255.0, and enter DNS server
provided by your ISP.
3.1 Login to the Router
To connect to the Router, you should set up the LAN Connection TCP/IP setting of
the PC to "Obtain an IP address automatically". If you need instructions how to do
this, please refer to the User Guide on the Resource CD.

Device Information
Router Status page will shown the following figure. In this page, click Quick
Start or Network Setup Menu to configure WAN configuration as your ISP link.
3.3 Quick Start
Quick Start page will guide you for fast and quick configuration of the
Broadband Internet connection.
Note: 4G / 3G configuration can be configured only through Network Setup
1) Broadband WAN connection setting
In following page, enter PPPoE / Dynamic IP / Static IP settings as provided by
your Internet service provider (ISP).
In this example, select PPPoE as connection mode and then enter PPP
username and password provided by your Internet service provider (ISP).
2) 4G/3G/2G WAN connection setting
4G/3G/2G Network Settings, Click router menu Network Setup
In following page, you can manually need to configure the GSM / CDMA data
card card ISP as provided by your Internet service provider (ISP).
Insert 4G/3G enable SIM in the dongle and insert data card in the router USB
port. It will detect and connect automatically to the network for internet
APN: Enable this function in case you need to set APN manually
(Select the Default APN to No)
Username: This function used to set the username to connect 4G/3G
(Default- Blank)
Password: This function used to set the password to connect 4G/ 3G
(Default- Blank)
Connection: This function is used to set the connection mode
(Always On, Connect On-Demand or Connect Manually.
3) Wireless settings
In following page, you can select wireless mode, set SSID and encryption. For
wireless security, it is recommended to set the encryption mode to WPA2, and
then enter a password.
5) Save settings
If you want to finish setting, click Save. Otherwise click Cancel.

New data cards / USB modems available in the market from time to time may not allways be
compatible, Kindly refer the compatibility list of 4G/3G/2G USB modem available on iBall
