IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should
always be followed, including the following:
1. Read all instructions.

1 Operating Manual
1.1 General
Please read the information contained herein so that you can become familiar
with your device quickly and take advantage of all its functions.
1.2 Information on this manual
These instructions provide you with important information for the initial
commissioning, safety, intended use and care of the device.
The operating instructions must be available at all times to the user of the device
and should be read before using the device.
Keep the operating manual in a safe place and pass it on to the subsequent
owner along with the device.
2 Safeties
2.1 Intended use
This device is only intended for use in households in enclosed spaces for:
e making milk foam and heating milk

Danger due to unintended use!
Dangers can emanate from the device if it is used for an unintended use and/or
a different kind of use.
» Use the device exclusively for its intended use.
» Follow carefully the user instructions and procedures in thig manual.
Claims of all kinds due to damages resulting from unintended uses are excluded.
The user bears the sole risk.
2.2 General Safety information
PLEASE NOTE
Please observe the following general safety notices with regard
to the safe handling of the device.
» Examine the device for any visible external damages prior to using it.
Never put a damaged device into operation.
» This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than
8 and supervised. |
» Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years. *
» Do not leave the device unsupervised when it is in operation.
» Only customer service departments authorized by the manufacturer may
carry out repairs on the device during the guarantee period, as otherwise
the guarantee entitlements will be null and void in the event of any
subsequent damages.
» Do not use other liquids than milk.
2.3 Danger of burns
DANGER
The heated milk in the milk frother and the interior of the jug
can get very hot.
» When the milk is heated, the interior of the jug gets very hot!
» Always check the temperature of the milk, before drinking it.
» When you are heating the milk, keep the lid closed.
2.4 Dangers due to electrical power
DANGER
Mortal danger due to electrical power!
» If the connection lead is damaged, you will need to have a special
connection lead installed by an authorized electrician.
» Do not operate this device if its power cable or plug is damaged, if it does
not work properly or if it is damaged or has been dropped.
» Do not open the housing on the device under any circumstances. There
Is a danger of an electrical shock if live connections are touched and the
electrical or mechanical structure is altered. In addition, functional faults

3 Commissioning
3.1 Safety information
Packaging materials may not be used for playing. There is a danger of suffocation.
3.2 Box content
The milk frother is delivered with the following components:

PLEASE NOTE
>» Immediately verify that you have all accessories and that the unit is
not damaged.
» Notify the seller or transporter in case of damage or incomplete assembly
and missing accessories.
3.3 Unpacking
e Take out the device from the box and remove the interior and exterior
packaging.
* Clean the appliance thoroughly before the first use (see chapter Cleaning
and maintenance).
3.4 Setup location requirements
* The device must be set up on a firm, flat, horizontal surface with sufficient
load-bearing capacity.
* The device is not intended to be installed in a wall or a built<in cupboard.
e Do not set up the device in a hot, wet or extremely damp environment or near
fammable material.
* The electrical socket must be easily accessible in the case of an emergency.
* The installatlon and assembly of this device in non-stationary setup locations
(e.g. cars, boats, RV) is to the sole responsibility of the user.
3.5 Electrical connection
* Before connecting the device, compare the connection data (voltage and
frequency) on the rating plate with those of your electrical network.
* The electrical outlet must be protected by a 16A safety cut-out switch,
* The connection between the device and the electrical network may employ
a 3 meter long (max.) extension cable with a cross-section of 1.6 mm2
4 Functions
In this chapter, you'll find important information on the function of the device.

beneath the device.
5 Operation and Handling
This chapter provides you with important notices with regard to operating the
— device. Observe the following notices to avoid dangers and damages:
WARNING
> Do not leave the device unsupervised when it is in operation, so that you
can intervene quickly in the event of dangers.
5.1 Operation
With the milk frother you can heat cold as well as warm milk froth.
The appliance has got three markings for the filling:
MIN: Fill milk at least up to that marking. T
MAX FROTH: Fill milk up to that maximum marking to make milk froth (filling more
can cause overflow when frothing).
MAX MILK: When you want to heat milk but not froth it, you can fill milk up to that
maximum marking.
PLEASE NOTE
» Please note the maximum froth markings. Please use for milk froth only
the MAX FROTH marking. Otherwise so much foam will be made that the
lid would lift and milk would overflow,
You can make warm as well as cold milk froth.
PLEASE NOTE
» Please press the power button with your finger to determine the frothing/
heating mode you need.
WARM MILK FROTH
Please put the whisk for frothing into the whisk holder.
Switch on the power button.
The power button lights red. This is the setting for the warm milk froth.
The appliance starts to make milk foam and stops automatically as soon as
the foam is finished.
HOT MILK
Please put the whisk for frothing into the whisk holder.
Press the power button twice, it blinks red, the milk is heated.
The whisk rotates with reduced speed in order to ensure even heat distribution
and prevent the milk from burning.
COLD MILK FROTH
Please put the whisk for frothing into the whisk holder.
Switch on the appliance. Press the power button for approximately 2 seconds
until it lights blue. Now cold milk froth is made.

PLEASE NOTE
» Please pour out the milk and the milk froth. By using a metal spoon or
another object with sharp edges you risk damaging the coating of the pot.
» Only fill milk into the appliance.
6 Cleaning and Maintenance
This chapter provides you with important notices with regard to cleaning and
maintaining the device. Please observe the notices to prevent damages due to
cleaning the device incorrectly and to ensure trouble-free operation.
6.1 Safety information
ATTENTION
Please observe the safety instructions, before cleaning your appliances.
» Before cleaning, switch off the unit and take the power plug out of the outlet.
» Clean the appliances with a soft cloth.
» Don't clean the appliances with inflammable detergents.
>» Clean the appliances again thoroughly when the machine hasn't been used
for a long time.
6.2 Cleaning
e Take off the lid and the whisk holder. You can remove the magnetic whisk
from the side of its holder.
e Clean the lid and the whisk as well as the jug of the milk frother with diluted
detergent, with warm water and a soft sponge or a cloth. Rinse with cold
or lukewarm water. 6
* Do not use any hard or sharp-edged objects or abrasive cleaning agents
to clean the jug because the coating could be damaged.
e Clean the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth.
* Jug and basis are not suitable for dish washer.
* Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
7 Troubleshooting
7.1 Security advices

7.2 Troubleshooting
