Caution:

To avoid pinching do not lean on the massage mechanism in the cushion when adjusting your body position.

• This product should NEVER be used by any individual suffering from any physical ailment that would limit the user’s capacity to operate the controls or who has sensory deficiencies in the lower half of their body.

• This appliance is intended for household use only.

Do not jam or force any part of your body in the moving massage mechanism.

Instructions for Use

The Cushion comes with a screw located on the back of the unit to protect the massage mechanism during shipment, which must be removed before the first use to allow the unit to function properly.

Use the provided allen wrench. Then, properly dispose of the screw.

Warning: Failure to remove screw may cause permanent damage to the massage cushion.

Note:

There is a 15-minute auto shut off on the unit for your safety.

To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug

(one blade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.

If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.

1. Un-tie cord strap, extend cord and insert plug into 120-volt household electrical outlet to power unit.

2. Attach the cushion to most chairs for a luxurious massage as you read, rest or even work. See pages 8–9 for instructions on the use of the hand control.

Note:

Not recommended for use on wooden surfaces as the zipper may damage the wood.

Caution is also recommended when using on upholstered furniture.

Note:

Only gentle force should be exerted against the unit in order to eliminate any/all risk of injury. You may soften massage force by placing a towel between yourself and the unit.

Strapping System

The Cushion incorporates a unique strapping system which allows you to fasten it to almost any chair. Just slip the straps over the seat or chair and adjust fastening straps to secure. Your massager won’t slip or slide away.

Maintenance

To Store

Place massager in its box or in a safe, dry, cool place. Avoid contact with sharp edges or pointed objects which might cut or puncture the fabric surface. To avoid breakage, do not wrap the power cord around the unit. Do not hang the unit by the hand control cord.

To Clean

Unplug the unit and allow it to cool before cleaning. Clean only with a soft, slightly damp sponge. Never allow water or any other liquids to come into contact with the unit.

• DO NOT immerse in any liquid to clean.

• NEVER use abrasive cleaners, brushes, gasoline, kerosene, glass / furniture polish or paint thinner to clean.

• DO NOT attempt to repair the Cushion. There are no user serviceable parts. For service, call the Consumer Relations telephone number listed in the warranty section.

NOTE: The moving massage mechanism always “parks” or finishes in its lowest position. It will continue to this position after the power has been turned off. If the electrical supply is interrupted, when power is restored, the mechanism will

“park” or move to its lowest position.

Demo Button

For a brief demonstration of the features of the Massage Cushion, press the Demo button. The unit will briefly go through each function. Once completed, the unit automatically turns off. The L.E.D. light will blink to indicate active function.

Shiatsu Massage

Shiatsu is a deep kneading massage.

Massage Zones

Choose from 3 preset programs where the

Shiatsu massage travels up and down in a specific area of the back – full, upper and lower. To select a program, simply press the button and the L.E.D. will illuminate. To deselect, press the button again or press another button.

Heat Button

For soothing heat, when massage is on, simply press the heat button and the corresponding red L.E.D. light will illuminate. To deselect, press the button again and the corresponding L.E.D. light will turn off. For your safety, heat cannot be turned on if no massage program is selected.

Power Button

To turn on the massage functions, first press the POWER button. The L.E.D. indicator will illuminate and confirm your selection. To turn off the massage functions, simply press the button again. The L.E.D. indicator will blink while the massage mechanism returns to its lowest point and then will turn off.

Air Massage

Air massage is a gentle midsection compression massage.

Air Programs

Choose from 3 preset intensity levels where the Air massage will use gentle compression to massage your sides

(Fig. 1). To activate the Air massage, simply press the AIR MASSAGE button and the corresponding L.E.D. light will illuminate. The Air massage air bags will inflate at low intensity. To change the air intensity level, press either the

+ or – buttons. The air program will move to the desired intensity level.

While the air intensity is being adjusted,

Fig. 1 the corresponding L.E.D. light will blink. The light will change to steady illumination when the desired intensity level is reached. To turn the Air massage off, press the AIR

MASSAGE button again. The air bags will deflate and turn off.

NOTE: There is a 15-minute auto shut off on the unit for your safety.

HoMedics sells its products with the intent that they are free of defects in manufacture and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of original purchase, except as noted below.

HoMedics warrants that its products will be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. This warranty extends only to consumers and does not extend to Retailers.

To obtain warranty service on your HoMedics product, contact a consumer relations representative by telephone at 1-800-466-3342 for assistance. Please make sure to have the model number of the product available.

HoMedics does not authorize anyone, including, but not limited to, Retailers, the subsequent consumer purchaser of the product from a Retailer or remote purchasers, to obligate HoMedics in any way beyond the terms set forth herein. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse; accident; the attachment of any unauthorized accessory; alteration to the product; improper installation; unauthorized repairs or modifications; improper use of electrical/power supply; loss of power; dropped product; malfunction or damage of an operating part from failure to provide manufacturer’s recommended maintenance; transportation damage; theft; neglect; vandalism; or environmental conditions; loss of use during the period the product is at a repair facility or otherwise awaiting parts or repair; or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond the control of HoMedics.

This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the country in which the product is purchased. A product that requires modifications or adoption to enable it to operate in any other country than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or repair of products damaged by these modifications is not covered under this warranty.

THE WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN SHALL BE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY. THERE

SHALL BE NO OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY

OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS OR ANY OTHER OBLIGATION ON THE PART OF THE

Instrucciones de uso

El Cojín trae un tornillo en el respaldo de la unidad que sirve para proteger el mecanismo de masaje durante el transporte; es necesario quitar ese tornillo antes del primer uso para permitir que la unidad funcione correctamente. Para retirarlo use la llave Allen incluida.

Luego, deseche el tornillo apropiadamente.

Advertencia: El no retirar el tornillo puede causar daño permanente al cojín para masajes.

Para reducir el riesgo de choque eléctrico, este artefacto tiene un enchufe polarizado (una paleta es más ancha que la otra). Este enchufe encaja de una sola forma en un tomacorriente polarizado. Si el enchufe no encaja completamente en el tomacorriente, invierta el enchufe. Si aún así no encaja, póngase en contacto con un electricista calificado para que instale el tomacorriente adecuado. No modifique el enchufe de ninguna forma.

1. Desate la cinta del cable, extienda el cable e inserte el enchufe en un tomacorriente doméstico de 120 voltios para alimentar la unidad.

2. Sujete el cojín a la mayoría de los tipos de silla para obtener un suntuoso masaje mientras lee, descansa o incluso mientras trabaja.

Atención:

No se recomienda para el uso en superficies de madera puesto que la cremallera puede dañar la madera. También se recomienda poner cuidado cuando se usa con muebles tapizados.

Sistema de correas

El cojín incorpora un exclusivo sistema de correas que le permite ajustarlo a casi cualquier silla. Tan sólo deslice las correas por encima de la silla o butaca y ajuste las correas para asegurarlo. Su masajeador no se deslizará ni se resbalará.

Mantenimiento

Para guardar

Coloque el masajeador en su caja o en un lugar seguro, seco y fresco.

Evite el contacto con bordes filosos u objetos punzantes que puedan cortar o perforar la superficie del material que lo recubre. Para evitar roturas, NO envuelva el cable de corriente alrededor de la unidad.

NO cuelgue la unidad del cable del control manual.

Para limpiar

Desenchufe la unidad y deje que se enfríe antes de limpiarla. Limpie

únicamente con una esponja suave, apenas húmeda. Nunca permita que el agua ni otro líquido entre en contacto con la unidad.

• NO sumerja la unidad en ningún líquido para limpiarla.

• NUNCA utilice limpiadores abrasivos, cepillos, gasolina, querosén, limpiador de vidrios o lustramuebles para limpiar.

• NO intente reparar usted mismo el Cojín Masaje. No hay piezas que necesiten servicio por parte del usuario. Para el servicio, llame al número de Servicio al Consumidor de teléfono que aparece en la sección de garantía.

Para eliminar cualquier o todo riesgo de daño físico, debe aplicarse sólo una presión limitada contra la unidad. Usted puede suavizar la fuerza del masaje colocando una toalla entre la unidad y su parte del cuerpo.

Declaración de la FCC

Este dispositivo cumple con la Parte 15 de las Normas FCC. El funcionamiento está sujeto a las dos condiciones siguientes: (1) este dispositivo no puede causar interferencia dañina y (2) este dispositivo debe aceptar cualquier interferencia recibida, incluyendo interferencia que pueda causar un funcionamiento no deseado.

NOTA: HoMedics no se responsabiliza por ninguna interferencia de radio o TV causada por modificaciones no autorizadas a este equipo. Tales modificaciones podrían anular la autoridad del usuario para operar el equipo.

NOTA: este equipo ha sido probado y se ha determinado que cumple con los límites de un dispositivo digital Clase B de acuerdo con la Parte 15 de las Normas

FCC. Estos límites están diseñados para proporcionar protección razonable contra la interferencia dañina en una instalación residencial. Sin embargo, no existe garantía de que la interferencia no ocurrirá en una instalación en particular. Atención:

El mecanismo móvil de masaje siempre se apaga y termina en la posición más baja. Sigue en esta posición después de desconectar la energía. Si la corriente se interrumpe, cuando vuelve, el mecanismo se

“aparca” o sea se coloca en la posición más baja.

Botón de Demostración

Para una breve demostración de las funciones del Cojín Masaje, oprima el botón Demo.

La unidad pasará rápidamente por cada función. Una vez terminado, la unidad se apaga automáticamente. La luz LED empieza a parpadear para indicar las funciones activas.

Masaje Shiatsu

El Shiatsu es un masaje profundo de amasado.

Zonas de Masaje

Elige entre 3 programas preestablecidos en los cuales el masaje Shiatsu se desplaza hacia arriba y hacia abajo en un área específica de la espalda – completa, superior e inferior. Para seleccionar un programa, simplemente pulsa el botón, el LED se iluminará. Para anular la selección, presione el botón de nuevo o pulse otro botón.

Botón de Calor

Para un calor suave, cuando el masaje esté encedido, simplemente presione el botón de calor y la luz LED roja correspondiente se enciende. Para anular la selección, vuelva a presionar el botón y la luz LED correspondiente se apaga. Por su seguridad, el calor no puede encenderse sin haber seleccionado un programa de masaje.

Botón de encendido

Para encender las funciones de masaje, primero oprima el botón

POWER (Encendido). El indicador L.E.D. se iluminará confirmado su selección. Para apagar las funciones de masaje, simplemente oprima el botón nuevamente. El indicador L.E.D. destella mientras el mecanismo de masaje vuelve a su posición más baja y luego se apaga.

Masaje de aire

El masaje es un masaje de aire sección media de compresión suave.

Programas de Aire

Elija entre 3 niveles de intensidad preestablecidos en los cuales el masaje de aire va a utilizar una compresión suave para masajear sus partes (fig. 1). Para activar el masaje de aire, sólo tiene que pulsar el botón de Masaje Aire y el LED correspondiente la luz se iluminará. Las bolsas de masaje de aire se infla de aire a baja intensidad. Para cambiar el nivel de intensidad de aire, presione la teclas

+ o -. El programa de aire se moverá a la intensidad deseada. Aunque la intensidad

Fig. 1 del aire se está ajustando, el LED correspondiente parpadeará. La luz va a cambiar a una iluminación continua cuando el nivel de intensidad deseado. Para activar el masaje de aire, vuelva a pulsar el botón MASAJE DE AIRE otra vez. Las bolsas de aire se desinfla y se apagará.

Atención: La unidad se apaga automáticamente después de 15 minutos, por seguridad.
