Frequently Answers and Questions

What is a pilot screw and what is its function?
The pilot screw is a small screw located on the carburetor that controls the amount of fuel delivered at idle speed. It is used to adjust the air-fuel mixture for optimal idle performance. The screw should be tightened or loosened until the desired idle speed is achieved.
What is the purpose of the limiter cap?
The limiter cap is a small cap that covers the pilot screw. It helps to prevent the pilot screw from being damaged or accidentally turned. During installation of the pilot screw, LocTite 638 should be applied to the limiter cap to help prevent it from loosening over time.
How do I drain gasoline from the float chamber?
To drain gasoline from the float chamber for extended storage, run the engine until it stops. You can also loosen the drain screw while the engine is stopped.
What is the purpose of the carburetor cleaning kit?
The carburetor cleaning kit (Kit No.07JPZ-0010001) is used for removing foreign material and dirt from the carburetor. It includes various tools and needles for cleaning different parts of the carburetor.
