INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
FOR NEW
GIZMO AXLE / HUB LOCK PLATE
12”, 16” & 18” WHEELS
7/16” wrench, 5/32” hex key, 3/16” hex key & (2) adjustable wrenches that will open to 1 1/8”

Remove hub lock body, wheel mount bushing,
spacer & nuts from existing axle plate.
Remove existing axle plate from frame.
Repeat procedure on opposite side
Assemble hub lock body to new axle plate using
1/4-20 x 7/8” screws. Tighten securely.
Assemble axle bushing, spacer and (2) 3/4” nuts to
new axle plate. Tighten securely.
Assemble new axle plate and existing anti-tip mount
plate to the rear frame as shown using (3) 1/4-20 x
2” flat head screws. Tighten securely.
Note:
For 12” diameter wheel, the new axle plate must be
mounted with the (3) flat head screws through the
top holes as shown in fig. 1.
For 16” diameter wheel, the new axle plate must be
mounted with the (3) flat head screws through the
middle holes as shown in fig. 2.
For 18” diameter wheel, the new axle plate must be
mounted with the (3) flat head screws through the
bottom holes as shown in fig. 2.
Add (3) 1/4” flat washers and locknuts to the flat
head screws as shown and tighten securely.

Axle Bushing Adjustment: Hub lock will not function
properly if the axle bushing is adjusted incorrectly. End
of bushing should be approximately 1 1/16” from face of
plate. When assembled, locking ring on wheel should be
1/16” from face of plate. Tapered pin in hub lock
assembly must engage fully into ring on wheel. See
picture below.
