INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING!
DISCONNECT BATTERY BEFORE SERVICING.

Drain the recovery tank completely and shut off the solution tank valve.
Turn the machine ON and lower the scrub deck then turn the key switch OFF.
REMOVE THE RECOVERY TANK

See Figure 1. Open the recovery tank by releasing the latch (A) located between the solution and recovery tank and tip open until support
cable is tight.
Disconnect the squeegee hose from the tank and unplug the vaccum fan connector from the main harness.
Unlatch the support cable.
With the help of an assistant tip the tank away from the machine and carefully lift the recovery tank off of the machine hinges (B) and set it to
the side.

REWORK THE RECOVERY TANK

See Figure 2. Use the measurements shown and Plate (33) as a template. Mark the location of the mounting holes and drill the (6) Ø .281”
mounting holes.
(Note: Rotate the plate if necessary until the holes are orientated as shown because their location is critical for correct installation of the
assembled kit.)
Mark the location and drill the (2) clearance holes as shown to install the Adapter Weldment (29), Gaskets (34), and Plate (33) to the recovery
tank.

See Figure 3. Assemble the 90° Elbow (37) to the Adapter Weldment (29), using thread sealant on the pipe threads. NOTE: Once tightened
the 90° Elbow (37) needs to point up towards the top of the recovery tank.
Thread the Strainer (26) onto the end of the Brass Pipe (30), using thread sealant on the pipe threads. Then thread the pipe and strainer
assembly to the 90° Elbow (37), using thread sealant on the pipe threads.
Assemble the 90° Elbow (38) to the Adapter Weldment (29), using thread sealant on the pipe threads. NOTE: Once tightened the 90° Elbow
(38) needs to point up towards the top of the recovery tank.
See Detail 1. The Right Angle Fitting (11) is a two piece fitting. Unthread the upper casing from the lower threaded portion. Thread the lower
portion of the fitting to the Coupling (12), using thread sealant on the pipe threads. Thread the upper portion of the Brass Pipe (31) into the
Coupling (12), using thread sealant on the pipe threads.
Unsnap the upper portion of the fitting (11) and slide it over the float harness feeding the harness thru the assembled threaded portion of (11),
Coupling (12), and Brass Pipe (31) and tighten onto the lower threaded portion of (11) as shown.
See Detail 2. Measure up from the top of the Float Switch (32) 14.63” (372mm) and snap the cap closed on the upper portion to lock the
harness in place. Locate the white or yellow paint mark on the Float Switch Harness (32). Use (2) of the Cable Ties (27) to secure the float
switch harness to the brass pipe at this location. Use the remaining Cable Tie (27) as shown to finish securing the float harness to the brass
pipe.
NOTE: Use Teflon tape or Permatex plastic pipe sealant No. 80724, 80725, or 80726 to seal all pipe threads.

See Figure 4. Place the adapter weldment assembly (C) and a Gasket (34) thru the mounting holes on the inside of the recovery tank.
Place a Gasket (34) and the Plate (33) on the outside of the recovery tank and using the (6) Sealing washers (15) and Nylon Lock Hex Nuts
(4) install the filter and float assembly to the recovery tank.
Feed the wiring harness (D) from the float switch assembly through the the 90° Elbow (38) and then thread the Brass Pipe (31) and float
switch assembly to the 90° Elbow (38), using thread sealant on the pipe threads.
NOTE: The harness needs to point towards the back of the machine for proper operation of the float switch.

Slide the Compress Nut (9) and Backshell (8) onto the float wiring harness as shown.
Connect the wiring harness wires from the float to the Plug Connector (7), the White wire goes to socket “A”, the Black wire goes to socket “B”.
Press the wire end in until it locks in place. Insert the Plug (10) into the socket marked “C”.
Thread the three components together (8 to 7 & 9 to 8) to secure the wiring harness.
See Figure 5. Install the Hose Support Clamp (20) on the upper left corner of the adapter weldment between the Sealing Washer (15) and
Nylon Lock Hex Nut (4) to secure the float switch cord assembly to the tank.
Install the Adapter (23) into the adapter weldment assembly (C), using thread sealant on the threads and orient as shown in Figure 5.
Assemble the Hose (13) and Male Quick Disconnect Coupling (18) to the Adapter (23) using (2) of the Hose Clamps (14) making sure the
orientation of the clamps are positioned to not interfere with the recovery tank.

See Figure 6. Mount the Pump (24) to the Pump Bracket (28) using the hardware items (5, 1 & 3) as shown.
Install the (2) Elbows (17) to the solution pump and the Spiral Hoses (21,& 22) using (2) Hose Clamps (14). Hose (22), the longer hose, should
be on the inlet of the pump.
Install the the Female Quick Disconnect Coupling (19) to the Hose (21) using (1) Hose Clamp (14).
Using the measurements shown Mark the location for the holes and drill (2) Ø.228” (5.80mm) mounting holes on the chassis tube.
Install the pump and bracket assembly (E) on the chassis Using the (2) Thread Forming Hex Screws (2). NOTE: Route the Hose (22) down
towards the scrub deck between the contactor panel cover and the chassis tube.
Locate the main wiring harness. There will be an unused connector with a Gray and Violet/Orange wire leading to it. Connect the wiring pigtail
from the solution pump to this connector.
Install the Clip (35) into the bottom of the pump bracket to secure the connector for the Cord Assembly (36) that is the quick disconnect for the
float switch assembly located inside the recovery tank.
Locate the main wiring harness. There will be an unused connector with a Gray/Yellow and Black wire leading to it. Connect the main harness
connector to the connector for the Cord Assembly (36).

Cable Ties (27) as shown.

See Figure 6. Install the the Barb Tee fitting (25) into the solution hose (G) by cutting the hose 3.0” before the chemical injection tee assembly
(F) on the scrub deck using (2) Hose Clamps (16).
Then connect the Hose (22) installed in step 2 to the Barb Tee (25) using (1) Hose Clamp (14).

Reinstall the recovery tank following the removal steps in reverse order.
Reconnect the squeegee hose and plug in the vaccum fan connector from the main harness.
Connect the solution and electrical quick disconnects between the recovery tank and pump assembly to complete the installation.
Open the solution valve if closed previously.
PROGRAM CONTROLLER TO RECOGNIZE THIS KIT
Follow the steps below to program your machine to recognize the extended scrub option.

See Figure 7. Turn the Key Switch (7A) to the Off position.
Press and hold both Turn Signal buttons (7D and 7E) and turn the key switch On. Continue to hold both buttons for 2 seconds.
The hidden configuration menu will appear on the Display Screen (7C).
Use the Scrub Pressure Increase (7F) and Scrub Pressure Decrease (7J) buttons to scroll through the menus until “Extended Scrub System
Installed” appears.
Press the One Touch Scrub button (7G) to enter the submenu.
Press the Scrub Pressure Increase button (7F) until “Installed” is shown on the display.
Press the One Touch Scrub button (7G) to save the setting, and to exit the submenu.
Turn the Key Switch (7A) to the off position to exit the hidden menus.

USING THE EXTENDED SCRUB OPTION
See Figure 8. The recycle system is enabled by pressing the Recycle Switch (8K) on the control panel after the scrub switch is turned on. The light
on the switch will be on when the system is enabled. When the recycle system is actually operating (enabled and pumping) the Recycle Icon (8L)
will appear next to the solution level icon on the Display Screen (8C). When operating, the recycle system causes the clean water supply to be shut
off and the recycled water from the recovery tank is dispensed to the scrub head(s). The same flow rate control is used for both clean and recycled
water.
NOTES:
a. In order for the recycle system to be operating there must be enough water in the recovery tank and the solution tank must be empty. The float
switch tells the control system when there is enough water in the recovery tank. The recycle switch can be turned on before the solution tank is
empty, but the recycle system will not operate until the low solution leavel is reached.
b.
The chemical injection/EcoFlex system can be used while recycling the recovery tank water.
c.
The machine will remember the extended scrub setting when the scub system is turned off. For example, if extended scrub is on when the
scrub system is turned off it will automatically turn on the next time the scrub system is turned on.
d.
The recycle symbol on the display screen is only displayed when scrub system is functioning. (i.e, Scrub brushes are turning.)
e.
The solution level symbol on the display is only for the solution tank. It will indicate an empty solution tank while extended scrub is being used.
