• Set the base on a flat, steady surface and plug cord into a grounded
wall outlet.
• Remove the kettle from the base.
• Turn the lid clockwise to unlock (illustration 1).

• Remove filter basket and metal filter.

• Fill the kettle with cold water (illustration 2).
IMPORTANT! Do not fill above the “max” fill line (1.2L) or below
the “min” fill line (0.6L).
• Replace metal filter and filter basket (filter basket is optional).
• Return kettle to base.
• Replace lid and turn counterclockwise to lock (illustration 3).

• Remove the kettle from the base.
• Turn the lid clockwise to unlock.
• Remove filter basket and metal filter.
• Follow instructions for “Setting Up the Kettle”.
• Fill the kettle with cold water.
• Press ON/OFF button (illustration 1).
• Replace metal filter and filter basket.
• Bring water to a boil.
NOTE: The metal filter is only necessary if preparing loose
botanicals.
• Brew at the maximum temperature and for the maximum pump
functioning time (press PUMP button repeatedly until the display
reads 8:00) (illustration 2).
• Add loose botanicals to filter basket or tea bags to metal filter
(user preference).
• Replace lid and turn counterclockwise to lock.
• Empty the kettle (illustration 3) and allow the appliance to cool
down for 1 minute.
• Follow instructions below to set temperature and pump time.
• Repeat twice before initial use.

• Press the °F / °C button to choose either Fahrenheit or Celsius.
• Press the TEMPERATURE SETTING button to choose a preset
temperature.
• Press the [ + ] button to increase the temperature by one degree.
• Press the [ - ] button to decrease the temperature by one degree.
• The temperature displayed on the screen will be stored after three
seconds.
• During the heating cycle, the LCD will display the current water
temperature.
WARNING: Never set the temperature above the boiling point.
Refer to the “High Altitude Users” section in the owner’s manual to
determine the boiling temperature for your altitude.
• To begin the heating process, press the ON/OFF button.
• To stop the heating process, press the ON/OFF button or remove
the kettle from the base.
• To resume heating, return kettle to base and press the
ON/OFF button.
• When the set temperature is reached, three audible beeps
are emitted.
• Once the temperature is set, it will be stored in the memory and
will be recalled the next time the kettle is turned on.

• Setting the Current Time
(Refer to owner’s manual for detailed time
setting instructions.)
• Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
The display will flash “time 12:00 am”.
• Press the [ + ] button to change the hour.
• Press the [ - ] button to change the
minutes.
Note: If time stops flashing before current
time is set, press and hold the [ + ] button
to activate the time change function.

• While the kettle is heating, press the PUMP button.
• The pump time will increase by 30 seconds each time the button
is pressed.
• Pump time can be set from 30 seconds to 8 minutes. Default time
is 4 minutes.
• When the set temperature is reached, the pump will start working.
• The LCD will display the remaining time the pump function will
stay active.
• The base will beep to indicate the pump function is finished.
Note: The LCD will display the water temperature for up to
1 hour if the kettle is not removed from the base.
Note: If the pump function is not set, the kettle will only bring the
water to the set temperature.
• Auto-Start Function

• Note: The Auto-start time is the time at which the automatic
heating cycle will be complete.
• Press the PROG button once. The current time will flash five times.
• If it is necessary to set the current time;
-- Press the [ + ] button to increase the hour and the [ - ] button
to increase the minute of the current time.
• After three seconds of inactivity, the current time will be stored,
and the LCD will flash the Auto-start time.
• Keep Warm Function

• While the Auto-start program time is flashing;
-- Press the [ + ] button to increase the hour and the [ - ] button
to increase the minute of the program’s completion time.
• After three seconds of inactivity, the Auto-start time will be stored,
and the LCD will flash the programmed temperature setting.
-- Press [ + ] and [ - ] buttons to set desired temperature.
-- The temperature will be stored after three seconds of
inactivity.
• If the Auto-start time and current time are less than 8 minutes
apart, heating begins immediately.
• Count-Up Timer Feature

• Press the KEEP WARM button.
• The temperature will increase or decrease to 160 °F and maintain
for one hour after it has reached the preset temperature or
after the pump function has completed.
-- Note: The Keep Warm temperature is set to 160 °F to
prevent overheating the botanicals while still providing
a desirable drinking temperature.
• If the kettle is removed from the base, the keep warm feature
will deactivate.
• To resume the keep warm feature, return kettle to base and
press the KEEP WARM button.

TIME
• Remove the kettle from the base.
• The LCD will display “0:00”.
• Press the [ + ] button to start the count-up
timer.
• The maximum count-up time is 7 minutes.
• Return the kettle to the base then lift it off
again to reset the timer to zero.
• Washing Instructions
• Clean the outside of the base and the kettle with a damp, soft cloth
or sponge. A bottle brush may be used to clean the interior of
the kettle.
• Clean the inside of the kettle with dish detergent and rinse
thoroughly with water.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners.
• After cleaning, dry the kettle and the base thoroughly.
WARNING: Never immerse the kettle or the base in water or
other liquids.
