ROLE PROFILE
Job Title:
Coffee Shop and Bakery Assistant
Key Skills required:
We are looking for someone who has
experience of working in the hospitality
industry with a specific interest in baking and
an ambition and enthusiasm to develop new
ideas. The candidate should also have
knowledge of a Social Enterprise and an
interest in what Frost and Snow is trying to
achieve. The role will involve the regular
delivery of food to various locations so a
driving licence is essential.
Job Purpose:
The position is for someone to work in the
coffee shop serving both food and drinks to a
high standard. To assist with the day to day
tasks of the bakery, volunteer program and
student placements.
Reporting to:
Coffee Shop and Bakery Supervisor
Responsible for:
Maintaining and delivering a high standard of
quality food and drink and representing Frost
and Snow and Midland Heart.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Greeting, serving and providing a high standard of service to customers.
A large element of the role will involve preparing food and drink on a daily
basis including making sandwiches, coffees and buffets.
Preparing, baking, frosting and boxing baked goods.
Delivering cupcake and food orders to various locations.
Administration duties including due diligence sheets, stock checks, stock
ordering and monitoring email inbox for orders and enquiries.
Occasional updating of Frost and Snows social media including twitter,
internal intranet, website and Facebook page.
To ensure all areas of the bakery and coffee shop are clean and tidy at all
times with deep cleaning being carried out at least once per week. All
necessary documentation to be completed.
To complete all relevant training and personal development and help others
where possible.
To participate in outdoor and external events including some weekends
where necessary.
To participate with product development.

Education, qualifications and training
1. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
2. Basic Maths.
3. Level 2 Food Hygiene or willing to work towards.
Experience
4. Experience of working in a bakery or coffee shop would be
desired but not essential.
Knowledge
5. Some knowledge of food and drink preparation desired.
6. Understanding of social enterprise.
Skills
7. Good customer service,
8. Good communication skills.
9. Ability to multitask.
10. Knowledge of food/drink industry.
