Instructions
This booklet contains important safety information to ensure you enjoy the use of your
i-deck. Please read and keep guides 1 and 2.
Applicable for USA, Canada or where approved for usage.

Explanation of Graphical Symbols:
This lightning flash with an arrow head symbol, within an equilateral triangle, is
intended to alert the user to the presence of un-insulated “dangerous voltage”
within the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute
a risk of electric shock to the persons.
This exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user
to presence of important maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature
accompanying the appliance.

5. Do not use this apparatus with water.
6. Clean only with a dry cloth. Great care and attention has gone into the materials
chosen to produce the product. A gentle wipe with a dry, clean cloth is all that is
required to remove any dust. Treat it as you would a fine piece of furniture because that
is how they have been designed.
7. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with Monitor Audio’s
instructions.
8. Do not install near any heat source, such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or
other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
9. Do not defeat the purpose of the polarised or grounding type plug. A polarised
plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two
blades and a third grounding prong. The wider blade or the third prong are provided
for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit your outlet, consult an electrician for
replacement of the obsolete outlet.
10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs,
convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
11. Only use attachments/ accessories specified by Monitor Audio.
12. Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer
or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/
apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.

13. Unplug this apparatus during lightening storms, or when unused for long periods
of time.
14. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when
the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power supply cord or plug
is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen onto the apparatus, the
apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally or has
been dropped.
15. This apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing water and that no
object filled with liquids such as vases shall be placed on the apparatus.
16. CAUTION: Servicing instructions are for use by qualified personnel only. To reduce
the risk of electric shock, do not perform any servicing other than that contained in the
operating instructions unless you are qualified to do so.
17. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus
to rain or moisture.
18. Where the appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect
device shall remain readily operable.
19. CAUTION: Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the
same or equivalent type.
20. WARNING: Batteries (battery pack or batteries installed) shall not be exposed to
excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the others.

i-decks are designed and approved to ErP standards and comply
with Eco design for energy related products Regulations for EnergyRelated Products Directive 2009/125/EC. This means the units
consume less than 0.5Watts of power in standby mode.
Disposal of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)
by users in Private Households in the EU.
This symbol on the product or accessories indicates that they must not be
disposed of with your other household waste. Instead it is your responsibility to
dispose of your waste equipment by handing it over to a designated collection
point for recycling WEEE. The separate collection and recycling of your waste
equipment will help conserve natural resources and ensure that it is recycled in
a manner that protects human health and the environment. For more specific
information about where you can take your equipment for recycling please
contact your local city/council office, your local waste disposal service or the
outlet where you purchased the product.

This equipment has been fully tested prior to dispatch from the factory. Both the
craftsmanship and the performance of this product is guaranteed against manufacturing
defects for the period of TWO years from the date of purchase (see conditions below),
provided that the product was supplied by an authorised i-deck retailer under the consumer
sale agreement. (The words ‘consumer sale’ shall be construed in accordance with section
15 of the supply of goods act 1973). Monitor Audio accepts no responsibility for defects
arising from accident, misuse, abuse, wear and tear, modification or operation outside of
that specified within this manual. Neither will responsibility be accepted for damage or loss
occurring during transit to or from the parties claiming under this guarantee.
This guarantee covers both labour and parts. The liability of Monitor Audio is limited to the
cost of repair or replacement of the defective parts (at the discretion of Monitor Audio) and
under no circumstances extends to consequential losses or damage.
Claims under this Guarantee
The equipment should be returned in its original packaging to the original supplier. If it is
not possible to return the equipment by hand, then it should be sent carriage pre-paid via
a reputable carrier.
This guarantee does not affect the statutory rights of the consumer under UK law.

and 3rd generation models can be used with the i-deck 100 and 200, but the Aux Input will
need to be used with a 3.5mm stereo jack lead.
