Follett® water filtration systems

Follett® water filtration systems
Carbon water filter systems
Available in standard (3,000 gallons) and high capacity (15,000 gallons), these filters provide multi-level
filtration to remove chlorine, taste, odor, cysts, and 99.9% of all particles 0.5 micron and larger in size at low
pressure drops across the filter. Scale inhibition protects machine from scale damage, reducing energy and
service costs.
NSF rated for 3,000 gallons (standard) or 15,000 gallons (high capacity) for the following
performance standards
Standard No. 42: Aesthetic Effects
• Chemical reduction - taste & odor and chlorine reduction
• Mechanical filtration - particulate reduction, class 1: 99.9%
reduction of particles 0.5 micron and larger in size
• Bacteriostatic effects
Standard No. 53: Health Effects
• Mechanical filtration
• Cyst reduction
• Turbidity reduction
Replacement cartridges available in both single and carton quantities

Carbonless water filter system
Carbonless filters allow chlorine and chloramines from municipal water systems to pass through, helping to
inhibit bacteria growth and biofilm. Removes cysts and 99.9% of all particles 0.5 micron and larger in size.
Scale inhibition protects machine from scale damage, reducing energy and service costs.
NSF rated for 15,000 gallons for the following performance standards
Standard No. 42: Aesthetic Effects

Follett® filters feature
Agion® antimicrobial product protection
Follett filters include Micropure II media (standard systems) or Fibredyne
media (high capacity system), both featuring Agion antimicrobial product
protection1 to inhibit the growth of damaging microbes on the surface of the
filter media and enhance filter performance.
What is Agion?
Agion is an antimicrobial technology based on elemental silver, reviewed and
registered by the EPA, FDA, and NSF. It is proven to inhibit damaging microbes
on treated surfaces and is approved for food and water contact.
How does it work?
Through a controlled release of low levels of silver, Agion
silver ions attack multiple targets in a microbe to prevent
it from growing to a destructive population. This tri-modal
action fights cell growth.
1.Prevents respiration by inhibiting transport functions
in the cell wall 2.Inhibits cell division (reproduction)
3.Disrupts cell metabolism
How effective is Agion?
Agion is confirmed effective on many bacteria, yeasts, molds, and fungi.

What else do Follett filters do?
• Filter out dirt and cysts
• Reduce preventive maintenance frequency
• Inhibit scale growth - especially important in areas with high TDS levels
• Extend ice machine life
1 Disclaimer: Antimicrobial protection is limited to the treatment of filter media and does not treat water or ice.
