About us
Nesta is an independent charity with a mission to help people and
organisations bring great ideas to life.
We do this by providing investments and grants and mobilising research,
networks and skills.
Nesta doesn’t work alone. We rely on the strength of the partnerships
we form with other innovators, community organisations, educators and
investors too.

The space
With its central location near to St Pauls, excellent transport links via
Chancery Lane, Farringdon, Holborn, City Thameslink, Blackfriars and
Temple, 1 Plough Place offers a contemporary and inspiring facility
suitable for conferences, board meetings, training seminars and
receptions. Nesta’s start-of-the-art, ultra-modern venue has the flexibility
and variety to cater for between five and 120 delegates.
We offer the use of our inspiring venue to people, networks or
organisations that share our philosophy and ambitions.

Boardroom
Two floor-to-ceiling glass windows create
a spacious, light and modern room. The
décor and high quality furniture provide
a stylish and professional setting for any
executive meeting. The room boasts
Wi-Fi internet access, air conditioning
and concealed audio-visual equipment,
making it an ideal choice for board
meetings, training seminars and breakfast
meetings.

The space
Meeting Pods
All three Meeting Pods offer a quiet,
comfortable and climate-controlled
environment. All are equipped with
Wi-Fi internet connection, 50” plasma
screens and whiteboards. They can
accommodate between 6-12 delegates
and are ideal for boardroom meetings
or training seminars. Pods can be
used alongside our larger spaces, as a
syndicate or breakout room.

The space
Concierge area
The concierge area, with its ultra-modern
look, eclectic mix of informal seating and
art exhibition is a unique area, open to
anyone looking for a contemporary space
to hold that special drinks reception,
host an exhibition or use as a registration
space.
Fully equipped with a PA system,
cloakroom, kitchen preparation area,
Wi-Fi internet access, natural daylight,
informal meeting area, plasma screen and
self-service tea and coffee point, 1 Plough
Place concierge area will make a lasting
impression.

Costs and booking
Our costs are extremely competitive and priced on a case-by-case basis.
Charities will receive a 50 per cent discount.
You can book meeting rooms by the hour, half-day or full-day and then
add on catering and equipment should you need it.
Operating Hours
You can hold your event at Nesta between the hours of 09:00 – 17:30
Monday to Friday. Events outside of these hours are agreed on a
case-by-case basis.

•• A member of the Nesta events team will be in contact with an
initial quote.
•• Complete and sign the third party contract.
•• Pay room hire charges in advance of your event.
•• Complete and sign the logistics form one week prior to your event.

Catering
Catering for our external events is provided by Cucina Catering. If what
you’re looking for isn’t listed below, then we are happy for you to use
your own suppliers.
Cucina Catering is an outstanding independent catering company
drawing on more than 20 years experience in corporate and private
event catering. Our food is freshly prepared by professional chefs on the
day of delivery and beautifully presented to the highest standards.
