Description
boots automatically when power cord plugged into PSU on Intel® Server SC5295BRP chassis. After issue investigation, we
discovered the root cause of this issue is “Auxiliary power supply” J5 connector . Intel® Server SC5295BRP chassis
uses PS Alert signal (3rd cord) and the board powers up. If customer disconnects this cable (3rd cable in the
power cord connector) system works normally.
According to our investigation, PSU in BASE chassis doesn't use this signal cord.
Root Cause
“Auxiliary power supply” J5 connector on Intel® Server SC5295BRP chassis power supply unit
Corrective Action / Resolution
Please do not connect “Auxiliary power supply” J5 connector on Intel® Server SC5295BRP chassis power supply
unit to Intel® Server Board SE7320EP2 board.
