DC15 - UNITE - Install & Operation Guide
Range Overview & Features
Introduction
A range of floorstanding water dispensers, available in two different operational types:

DC15 A Cold and Ambient

DC15 AS Cold, Ambient and Sparkling
All Types
All Unite models are self-contained machines with robust steel framed cabinets and attractively injection moulded
plastic front, side and top panels. There is sufficient space internally for filters etc to be fitted behind the door
panel.
An IEC Power Lead is supplied for connection to the IEC socket found on the rear of all models (An additional
Schuko type is supplied for the European market).
DC15 Cold and Ambient Model
The Cold Temperature is thermostatically controlled via the adjustment screw on the back of the machine. This
setting is factory set and is not necessary to adjust in most cases (see Controls).
The Cold Tank can be drained via the lower of the two Drain Ports on the rear of the machine.
A Direct Chill cold water dispenser where water is used as the cooling medium in the Direct Chill tank. This is
automatically filled and controlled by the level control system upon installation. This tank is then chilled via the outer
evaporation coil of the capillary controlled refrigeration compression system.
The level control system also incorporates a leak detection device within the cabinet which switches the machine
off in the event of detecting water.
The Cold Temperature is thermostatically controlled via the adjustment screw on the back of the machine. This is
factory set and is not necessary to adjust in most cases (see Controls).
The Cold Tank can be drained via the upper of the two Drain Parts on the rear of the machine.
DC15 Cold, Ambient and Sparkling Model
Water is chilled as it passes through the coil immediately before dispense. Still, cold and ambient water dispense
is at inlet pressure via the DC current operated solenoid valves. Chilled water is pumped under pressure into the
carbonator which it fitted inside the same coil. The carbonator is also level controlled and allows the sparkling
effect to occur through saturation with CO2.

Storage Cabinet
All models are fitted with a lower storage area.
The Door Panel is hinged and fastened with Magnetic Catches. There is a removable cover protecting the machine
parts.
Every DC15 Unite is supplied with a Level Sensor Kit, comprising:


Water Container
Sensor Unit (c/w 2 no. CR3032 batteries)
Simply connect the Drainage Tubing that is pre-fitted, into the top of the container and remove the protective sleeve
from the probes.
When the container becomes full:
A bleeping alarm will sound for 1 minute when an attempt is made to dispense a drink. This is an alarm of 3
bleeps repeating every 10-15 seconds. This 1 minute cycle will repeat every time a dispense button is pressed.
The LED lighting at the base of the faucet will flash ON/OFF slowly for 1 minute. This too is repeated every time a
dispense button is pressed
Leak Detection
Notice:
This machine is equipped with a leakage detection device. When leaking is detected, the dispense operation will
be cut off automatically.
This is indicated by the alarm signalling as also described above.
To reset:
1.
2.
3.
4.
Unplug the machine and open the lower door.
Locate the source of leakage and rectify.
Locate and dry the detection probes in the bottom of the machine along with the surrounding area.
Locate the Leak Detector valve under the front edge of the lower shelf and reset the red lever (push it in) on
the reverse side.
5. Reconnect the power to machine and test operation.

Operation
1.
After the water supply pipe is
connected, open the supply.
Connect the IEC power lead and the
tank(s) will automatically begin to fill
with water. When the tanks are full,
press the cold and ambient dispense
buttons. Flush approx. 10 litres of
water through the machine, mainly
using the cold button.
2.
When completed switch on the cold power switch on the back to start the cooling system. The yellow LED
indicator on the control PCB will show. The initial cooling cycle will take approx. 1 hour.
Press the ambient button to dispense

ambient water.
There is an in-built safety feature
which prevents a dispense valve
remaining open for more than 1
minute. When dispensing this is
indicated by a bleep alarm and the
dispense stops. Simply release the
button to reset and then start again
