INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
When installing the ID-PRO to an existing TM-50 or TM-50 MKII please follow the
corresponding rail installation procedure below. If installing on a TM-50/TM-50 MKII shipped
with the ID-Pro then skip to the ID-PRO installation section.
TM-50 MKII Rail Cover Installation:
1) The bent tube carrying the wire for the jam sensor needs to be flipped around. Remove the screws
securing the clamps that hold the tube.

2) Rotate the tube around 180° and secure it with the clamps and screws you removed in step 1. You
may need to pull up the empty pocket sensor to clear the wiring. Loosen the set screw holding the
empty pocket sensor shaft and pull out the whole assembly.
3) Remove the existing cover plate by un-screwing the 6 mounting screws. The TM-50 can remain
mounted to the APS.

3) Position the ID-PRO so it is all the way forward and start with it being placed to the far left of the
slot. The slot provides added flexibility for mark placement.
4) Tighten the 1/4-20 screws to secure and lock the placement of the ID-PRO.
5) Make the following connections:
a. Control Valve Actuator Cable must be connected between the Control Valve
Actuator and location J6 on the Serial Peripheral Card.
b. Actuator Sensor Cable must be routed between the Actuator Sensor Mount and
location J2 on the Serial Peripheral Card.
c. Serial Peripheral Cable must be connected between J6 on the Serial Peripheral Card
and connector mate on the APS Backplane as shown in the pictures below. For 3X
machines this location will be J14 thru J20 (whichever is available). For 4X
machines this location will be SP_1 thru SP_6. (whichever is available)
For 3X00 APS backplane do not use J13 as this is exclusive for APS SP serial number, use
any other input J14 thru J20.

For 3X00, mount the card on the cross bar of the machine. For some machines it may be
necessary to drill additional holes in the cross bar for mounting, use 1/8" drill if needed.
For 4X00 remove mounting plate from ID-PRO serial board first, run cables inside the machine
and then screw the card only into 4X serial board panel. The 4X serial board panel is located on front
side of the machine in the bottom right corner of the 4X machine. Make sure all hardware (screws and

STORAGE
For reliable and accurate operation the felt pad should be replaced after each job or after 12 hours
of operation. The ink has a limited open air time and the mark may degrade if the ink is left out
beyond the suggested time.
Ink should be stored at room temperature, 50-75° F (10-24° C).
When using the TM-50/TM-50 MKII without the ID-PRO there is no need to remove the it.
Instead, simply raise the ID-PRO stamper up so it's out of the way. It is suggested to remove the
stamp(s) and ink well when the ID-PRO isn't in use. Be sure to clean the stamp(s) and ink well
with Isopropyl Alcohol after they are removed.
