Installation Considerations
FOR BEST RESULTS, HANSGROHE RECOMMENDS THAT THIS UNIT BE INSTALLED BY A LICENSED,
PROFESSIONAL PLUMBER.
Please read over these instructions thoroughly before beginning installation. Make sure that you have all tools
and supplies needed to complete the installation.
The supply hoses provided on this faucet are made to fit supply stops with 3/8” compression fittings.
The high temperature limit stop can be re-set to comply with local plumbing codes, or to protect children from
scalding.
User Instructions
The faucet is turned on or off by moving the handle forward or to the rear, respectively.
Rotating the handle to the left delivers hot water, and to the right cold water.
If the flow rate diminishes over time, remove and clean the aerator.
2
Installation Instructions
Flush the supply lines thoroughly before installation.
If the mounting surface is 3/16"thick or less, cut the centering
ring so that it is as thick as the countertop. If the mounting
surface is greater than 3/16", leave the centering ring intact.
•
Place the faucet and centering ring in position on the
mounting surface.
•
From underneath the mounting surface, slip the
fixation piece over the threaded pin. Tighten the nut.
•
Attach the supply hoses to the supply stops. The hot
hose is marked with a red band.
•
The supply hoses included with this faucet will fit a
standard supply stop with a 3/8" compression fitting
(not included). Remove the compression nut and ring
from the stop. Slide them over the hose inlet.
•
Insert the hose into the stop. Hand tighten the nut.
Use a wrench to tighten the compression nut fully.
Turn on the supply stop to check for leaks.
•
Install the pop-up drain. Install the pull rod and connect to the drain assembly.

gasket (4) to the flange (3). Sit it in
the sink outlet.
•
From under the sink, install the black
mack gasket (5), white friction ring (6)
, and retainer nut (7) to the flange (3).
Do not tighten the nut against the
bottom of the sink at this time.
•
Thread the tee (8) and tailpiece (9) to the flange. The pivot must face the faucet. If
necessary, turn the drain assembly.
•
Tighten the retainer nut (7).
•
Sit the plunger assembly in the drain (1,2).
•
Install the horizontal rod (11) so that the end goes through the loop in the bottom of the
height adjuster (2).
•
Install and hand tighten the pivot ball nut(13).
•
Attach the swivel connector (12) to the end of the horizontal rod (13) .
•
Attach the swivel connector to the end of the vertical rod (14). Position as desired, and
tighten with a small, flathead screwdriver.
4
Set the high temperature limit stop (optional)
•
Turn off the water at the supply stops – usually located under
the sink. Turn on the faucet to confirm that the water is off.
•
Close the drain OR cover it with a wash cloth. Gently pry off
the screw cover or use the 4 mm hex wrench to push the
screw cover into the handle. Retrieve the screw cover when
the handle is removed.

Remove the decorative nut cover and set aside.
•
Remove the handle screw from the stem of the cartridge.
Remove the high temperature limit stop.
•
Replace the high temperature limit stop so that the pin on the
cartridge is in the desired slot on the limit stop. Note: the
temperatures given in the diagram assume a water heater
temperature of 140o F, a cold water temperature of 50o F, and
a water pressure of 45 PSI. Your high temperature may vary.
•
Replace the decorative nut cover. Replace the handle screw.
Use the hex wrench to turn the screw 4 revolutions.
•
Replace the handle. Finish tightening the handle screw. Turn on the water and test the
