2. Precautions during repair, maintenance and use
1. Engine and Fuel: In this machine, super gasoline must be used as fuel. Do not add feul to the tank
while the engine is running. Keep out of fuel tank while smoking. Do not run the engine indoors before
the exhaust goes out. The exhaust fumes contain carbon monoxide. This gas is colorless, odorless but
harmful to human health.
Reccomendations:
1.1 Do not run the machine without exhaust manifold.
1.2 Do not touch to hot exhaust manifold, cylinder or cooling wings.
1.3 Do not run the engine if the air filter cover or the suction carburetor cover at the top of engine have
been removed.
2. Engine Speed: Should be checked periodically. Engine speed affects the air-out rate of nozzle system
and so controls drop sizes. Engine speed should be 1800-2000 Rpm.
3. Blower:
3.1 Do not touch when hot.
3.2 For safety, shut the power off before doing any repair or maintenance.
3.3 Blower will not work if its air filter has been removed.
3.4 Do not stand in front of the hot air from nozzle.
3.5 Turn the engine off if the volume exceeds safety level.
4. Damaged Engine: Never run a damaged engine. Using a damaged engine makes very dangerous
consequences.
5. Wind: Avoid spraying in windy weather. Because formulation goes out of targeted area.
6. Security Tools:
Additional security tools will be needed in some types of formulation. Equipments listed below must be
in every vehicle during spraying.
6.1 Fire extinguisher (chemical fire extinguisher for fuel fires)
6.2 First aid equipment.
6.3 Eye wash solution.
6.4 Protective glasses.
6.5 Oil dryer’s cups.
6.6 High temperature resistant gloves.
6.7 Formulation suitable respiratory mask.
7. Children
Many spraying services are performed in urban areas. Noise and fumes produced during spraying
attract children, so the staff has difficulty with them. Some formulations may be harmful to humans,
and their effects depend on active ingradient of drug, fog density and exposure time length. Staff is
responsible for preventing any person who plays in the fog or comes close to the vehicle.
8. Formulation: Pesticides, which will be applied, should have a label approved by the ministry of
health. Always keep the required materials indicated on the pesticide label such as protective clothes,
breathing mask etc. The drug dose should not exceed the level indicated on its label. Always keep the
drugs in their original containers.
