The place of operation should be equipped with:
- A water connection with clean water and
adequate water pressure, minimum pressure
0.3 MPa/3 bar
- A drain to dispose of waste water
- An appliance to extract the exhaust gases.
Released gas is hazardous in enclosed spaces.
It is important to ventilate the room well.
STARTING THE MACHINE:
1 - After screwing on the cover, fill the tank with diesel. Always use clean fuel. Filter it if required.
2 - If necessary, connect the high-pressure gun and one of the two lances to the high-pressure
hose and unroll the hose completely.
3 - Connect the hose to the water connection. The hose must be completely clean inside. Use
an upstream filter if required.
4 - Check the pump oil level. It must always be above the mark on the level gauge. Check either
using the level against the yellow closure on the oil tank or against the window on the side of the
pump. The red dot indicates the correct level.
5- Fill the Anti-lime scale tank with “Biomant Kalk-Stop” descaler.
6- Press the on/off switch
7-Set the desired temperature using the thermostat (“MAX” for weed control, or a lower
temperature for cleaning).

 Check whether there is fuel in the tank (avoid emptying the tank while the machine is in use
to prevent damage to the diesel pump)
6
High Pressure water jets: Always hold
the lance and the gun with both hands.
Never aim at people or animals.
CAUTION: When opening the gun, there is a slight kickback. Ensure
that it is held securely. When using the unit, avoid traversing unstable
ground or climbing ladders. All adjustments using buttons and
switches on the machine must be carried out with the gun closed.
SWITCHING OFF:
As soon as you have finished using the machine:
A) Release the handle of the gun
B) Switch off the burner (turn thermostat to “OFF”).
C) Open the spray gun and allow the water to flow for 1 minute (until the temperature drops and
cold water comes out)

before switching off and storing the machine.
D) Turn the start switch on the machine to the “OFF” position to switch off the motor or actuate
the green switch.
E) Shut off the water supply.
F) Open the spray gun for a few seconds to allow the water to drain out of the hoses.
G) Store the machine in an enclosed room as soon as you have finished using it.
SAFETY REGULATIONS
 Ensure that the high-pressure hose is not obstructed/blocked, as this could cause a hose
explosion and injure the operator.
 The protective housing must not be removed during use.
 The machine produces heat in its operating state. Do not touch the areas marked with
warning labels until they have cooled down. Do not touch the extractors until they have
cooled down completely.
 Never lift or pull the machine by the power cable or connecting cables.
7
 Do not use the machine on sloping surfaces.
 Do not use the machine barefoot.
 Always wear rubber boots and a safety mask when operating the machine.
 Protective clothing should be worn for your own protection.
 In the event of extended periods of work in the machine's proximity (or always at a distance
of less than 7 metres), you must wear hearing protection (noise-reducing headset or another
type of hearing protection).
 Never drink water that comes out of the machine. It is not suitable as drinking water.
 The machine must be used in rooms where and at times when there is sufficient daylight.
 Never leave the machine unattended during operation. During extended breaks, the machine
must be switched off.
 When using the machine in hazardous environments (e.g. fuel pumps or high-voltage
cables), you must observe the relevant safety regulations.
 While the machine is in use, it must never be covered or placed somewhere with inadequate
ventilation.
 While the machine is in use, no repairs on it may be carried out.
 Never aim the water jet at the machine or at another live component (cable, plug, etc.). This
can cause electrical damage and pose a risk to the operator.
 Avoid using the pump in the rain or in a storm or in situations where water or other liquids
could come in contact with the pump.
 Never place heavy objects on the WS-Compact
 Do not leave the pump to run without water (dry), as this can result in considerable damage
to the internal pump components.
PRECAUTIONS WHEN USING THE HIGH-PRESSURE HOSE
The high-pressure hose supplied has undergone stringent safety checks.

WARNING RELATING TO THE USE OF ACCESSORIES
When using accessories that are not part of the standard equipment, read the usage instructions
through carefully. Always check whether the accessory used is compatible with the features of
the high-pressure unit trailer. It should only be used if this is the case.
The manufacturer shall not accept any responsibility
Caution: In the event of a fault and/or malfunctioning of the
machine or an oil or water leak, switch off the machine immediately
and contact your dealer. Notify the dealer of the problems. You
should not attempt any repairs yourself. Contact qualified personnel
immediately. Repairs should only be carried out by the
manufacturer or by an authorised BioMant Dealer.
Before carrying out maintenance on the machine:
A - Switch off the unit
B - Shut off the water supply
C - Release the remaining pressure (squeeze the handle of the gun).
WARNING: The WS-Compact should not be opened without
the permission of the dealer or manufacturer. This may
invalidate the warranty.
REGULAR MAINTENANCE
1. Check the oil level of the high-pressure pump regularly. It must always be above the mark
on the level gauge. The first oil change must be carried out after 50 operating hours, and
then after every 500 hours. Use oil as recommended by your BioMant Dealer. The oil level
of the high-pressure pump must cover at least half of the window on the pump (see figure
above). You can also remove the oil cap and check whether the oil covers the bottom gauge
mark. Do not start the machine if there is insufficient oil.
2. The pump must not be exposed to extremely low temperatures. Avoid frost and do not use the
machine at temperatures below 0°C, as this may result in damage to or defects in the pump and
lines. In the event of frost, add antifreeze. On the other side, high temperatures when
operating the machine may cause the motor to overheat. THE WARRANTY DOES NOT
EXTEND TO DAMAGE CAUSED BY FROST.
3. The anti-lime container should always be filled with the BioMant “Kalk-Stop” descaler to
prevent damage to the machine. Working without the addition of descaler can cause
irreparable damage!
CAUTION: Descaler contains acidic substances, which may
damage the objects to be cleaned: Remember to rinse them
well. Wear gloves and a protective mask to protect your face
and hands during descaling.
9
4. From time to time, check the wear on the burner electrodes. The correct spacing between
the electrodes is 3 mm
5. Replace the high-pressure hose regularly. The new hose must clearly show the
permissible total pressure and the name or the manufacturer brand. Before use, check
whether the pressure values of the new hose correspond to those of the machine.
ALWAYS USE THE MANUFACTURER'S ORIGINAL HIGH-PRESSURE HOSES
6. Always ensure that clean or well-filter water is being used.
7. A lance spray nozzle blocked by lime scale, scaling, etc. can cause an excessive build-up
of pump pressure and result in damage. The nozzle must be replaced regularly.
8. Check the diesel filter regularly and replace it in the event of contamination or damage.
DISMANTLING THE MACHINE
Before dismantling the machine, we recommend decommissioning it as follows:
- Empty the inner tank
- Shut off the water supply
- Disconnect the battery power cable
- Disconnect the internal and external pipes
