PRESENTATION
This system's devices communicate on two different
frequency bands: the messages emitted between
the control unit, the detectors, and the warning
indicators are sent simultaneously on the following
two frequencies: 434 and 868 MHz.
Maximum capacity of the elements supported by the

This guarantees the sending of information,
irrespective of the environment and of the attempts
to disturb one of the frequencies.

The areas can be selected from a control keypad (Area from 1 to 4).
The configuration of the areas, i.e. the enablement of the detectors, is done by a keypad and by the detectors
to be integrated in each area.

PRESENTATION OF H4 ALARM CONTROL UNIT
The siren control unit is the main part of the alarm
system. It analyses the detectors' messages,
transmits the alarm toward the siren and
automatically calls up to 4 telephone numbers.

Before installing, you must adequately select the
place where the control unit will be located (for the
other devices, consult the relevant instructions).

„ Locating the control unit
- On a flat surface, with sufficient space around, to
enable the battery compartment to be installed and
opened.
- At the centre of the system and high up, to ensure

- In a place difficult to reach by an intruder, but
accessible for the user.

PROGRAMMING

Learning of a MASTER remote-control
When purchased, the control unit is not
programmed.
The MASTER remote-control must be the first
remote-control to be programmed.
In fact, the Master remote-control is essential for
adding any other remote-control.
Time to carry out this operation is limited.
To ensure that the control unit recognises the
system's elements, it must be made to 'learn' them
(registration of the devices).
Procedure
When the control unit is powered up, its indicator
lights flash rapidly and, then, the red indicator lights
flash simultaneously but more slowly. The control unit
is in Maintenance Program mode (the yellow warning
light flashes every second).
-Press the future ON key for 10 seconds: the control
unit beeps once and goes into Add Devices menu.
The yellow operation indicator light comes on with
steady beam.
-Simultaneously press push-buttons 1 and 2 until the
remote-control starts to flash.
-Press the ON Key once:
the control unit beeps once.

pencil), press the configuration access push-button
located under C key of the keypad.
-Press the ON key twice in succession: the control
unit should emit a confirming beep. The remotecontrol indicator light stays lighted on steady beam
for as long as pressure is exerted.
The yellow indicator light comes on with steady
beam: this means that the control unit is in ADD
DEVICES menu.
-Press the OFF key twice in succession: the control
unit should emit two confirming beeps.
The control unit has registered the master remotecontrol.

SLAVE remote-control
The new remote-control will be a slave remotecontrol.
To add a slave remote-control, you have to work in
steps in a limited time period.
„ Exit from the Add Devices mode
When all the elements have been registered:
- press the OFF key of the remote-control or the C
key of the keypad.
The control unit beeps once.
Step 1: synchronise the slave remote-control with
the master remote-control. Bring the two remotecontrols forward, so that they touch.
Close the control unit battery compartment last
of all.
-Simultaneously press push-buttons 1 and 2 on the
master remote-control, and release them when the
indicator light flashes. Press and hold down the ON
key. On the slave remote-control, press the ON key
and release it when the indicator light goes off (after
a double flash, to confirm that a memory-storage
operation has taken place). Release the ON key of
the master remote-control.
If inactive, the control unit will automatically exit from
the ADD DEVICES mode within 5 minutes, and will
remain in MAINTENANCE PROGRAM mode.
-Do likewise for the OFF key

DELETING DEVICES
Note: the control unit must be in MAINTENANCE
PROGRAM mode and in ADD DEVICES menu.
This procedure makes it possible to delete the
identity of the devices from the control unit memory:
„ To eliminate all the devices except the outdoor

- Press for more than 5 seconds the yellow DELETE
(EFF) push-button of the control unit.
The control unit sounds a long BEEP and the 5
indicator lights flash simultaneously.
The telephone access code is deleted and the

„ Eliminating devices from an area
The transmission control unit can be used to obtain
selective protection of the rooms, indicated by the
term “AREA”. Only the intrusion detector can be
assigned to an AREA.
The transmission control unit must be
MAINTENANCE PROGRAM mode (door open).
In case of an error, you can eliminate devices,
previously assigned, to a given area of your system.
Procedure:
in
- put the keypad in the CREATION AREA mode;
- confirm to view "XX - - - - -"
- press the yellow push-button of the control unit for
more than 5 seconds
- the control unit beeps briefly to signal that all the
devices of that area were deleted.
„ Assigning devices to an area

SYSTEM MANAGEMENT IN LOCAL
MODE
„ Alarm cycles / Trip the detection
When the alarm is tripped, the acoustic signal is
enabled for 90 seconds.
It can be stopped by the OFF function of a control
device.
If the fault persists (e.g. a door that stays open), or if
other detections occur, the signal trips a 90 second
cycle four times, with pause intervals of 20
seconds.
If the problem persists at the end of the cycle, the
device which signalled the fault is automatically
excluded and the event - which caused this exclusion
- is registered in the historic record.
When normal conditions are resumed, the exclusion
ceases.
After all the elements have been installed and
programmed correctly, you can put your system into
operation.
„ Alarm OFF Status
To access this mode, press the OFF key of a control
device.
The control unit signals the stop with two beeps.
In this case, the entire system is disabled, but the
control unit continues to receive the supervision and
self-protection information.
„ Alert Detection (emergency call panic button)
The alarm can be tripped also for a help request.
This entails the use of the SOS emergency call panic
button, which trips a “telephone call” type of alarm.
This alarm is also signalled by the control unit by
means of beeps lasting 30 seconds.
„ Alarm Mode on Status
This mode is enabled as soon as you press the ON
function of a control device.
Surveillance, signalled by a beep and indicator light
by the control unit, will be effective on the whole
system after 1 minute.
„ Forced enable
When the alarm system is enabled, if an opening
detector is declared active (open door, etc.), the
control unit sounds several beeps to signal the
"passage open" fault, and will not carry out the
order.
„ Status of Area A1, A2, A3, and A4
To enable the alarm in part of your system, activate
partial protection from the control keypad.
The selected area, and only that area, will be in
effective surveillance conditions.
To make a forced enable possible, press ON again
during the 10 seconds after the first pressure
(this method is identical for all control devices).
In both cases, the control unit beeps once to confirm
that the alarm is enabled.
(important: in this case the opening detector is
inhibited, unless the passage is closed and then
reopened).
The front indicator light of the control unit and an
acoustic signal indicate this change of status.
The remainder of the system stays disabled.
Note: a system in which the general alarm is
enabled, can change over to the area enable status
only after being switched OFF (see the use status
diagram at the side).
„ Disable under threat
This function is used to make a possible aggressor
believe that you are typing in the real access code,
whereas a telephone call is tripped, without any
acoustic signal. To do this, you have to add a unit to
the first digit of your keypad access code and, then
select OFF..
For example: access code “3586” ---> under threat “4586”,
access code “9471” ---> under threat “0471”
„ Technical detection (with a sensor)
A technical alarm - which can be obtained by using a
device known as a “technical sensor” - will be
signalled by several beeps from the control unit, and
the telephone transmitter will make a call.

„ DELETING THE EVENTS
„ YELLOW OPERATION INDICATOR LIGHT
When you come back, and change over to disabled
alarm mode, the control unit signals (with beeps) if
any alarm events have occurred during your
absence.
- Under normal operation conditions, the indicator
light is OFF.
- When the alarm is enabled or disabled, the
indicator light lights up for two seconds and then
goes OFF.
- After an enable or disable operation, if a fault is
present in the system, the indicator light flashes and
the relevant fault indicator is lighted.
These events can be deleted, i.e. they are no longer
signalled by the control unit (with the exception of the
“discharged batteries” signal).
- In Maintenance Program mode: it flashes (0.1s / 1s).
- In Add Devices menu, it stays on steady beam.
- In Area Creation mode: it flashes (0.5s / 0.5s).
There are two solutions for deleting the events:
With a control device
- Press the OFF key of a remote-control for 10
seconds.
- Then press the INFO key of the control keypad in
order to read the event and, when you have finished,
confirm by pressing the OK key.
The control unit confirms the operation with a beep.
„ FAULT INDICATOR LIGHTS
When the control unit's battery compartment is
opened, the unconfirmed events are shown
automatically.
The red indicator lights indicate the problem in
progress.

This lights up when an intrusion or technical alarm is
stored in the memory. It remains lighted until manual
confirmation by the alarm itself.

Supervision Fault

The control unit indicates the date and records all the
events which occurred in the system.
A deleted event is stored in the events historic record
and is no longer signalled to the user. The historic
record can be consulted in the view mode, using a
control keypad.
Passage Open Indicator light:
It indicates the status of the passages when the
alarm is enabled. It goes off after confirmation of
manual enablement.

There are two simple ways of calling the transmitter:

To use the second way:

GLOSSARY
Alarm
- Dissuasion acoustic signal, emitted by a siren, when intrusion occurs
- Status of system when an intrusion occurs.
- Common name for an alarm system.
Area
A set of devices which operate at the same time, associated with partial enablement
of the system.
Range
The average life of a device's batteries, under normal use conditions.
Self-protection
Also defined as self-surveillance. It is the function that surveys the system round-theclock against any sabotage act. Irrespective of whether the control unit is enabled or
disabled, if one of the system's elements is opened, or if the control unit is detached
from its support, the siren is immediately tripped.

To acknowledge any information issued by the system, and eliminate it.
Transmitter
A transmitter makes it possible to signal an alarm by telephone, thanks to a voice
message.
Confirmation
An acoustic signal from the control unit indicating modifications to the ON / OFF status
and correct reception of the radio transmissions during the tests.
Parameter
Used for defining the type of signal (sirens, …).
Radio Range
The distance at which a device in a radio system (remote-control, detector, siren,
transmitter, etc.) is able to dialogue with another radio device, without any problems
of understanding the exchanged data.
Reading request
Reporting with attenuated acoustic signals and flashing indicator lights, prompting the
user - when the alarm is disabled - to read the event stored in the control unit's
memory.
Signal, signalling
The function performed by the control unit after every alarm detection in the installed
system. This signal can be acoustic (siren), telephone (transmitter), or electric
(command of electric equipment, to simulate a presence in a protected room).
Supervision
Surveillance by the control unit of all the sensitive elements in your system to detect
any trouble, fault or malfunction of the system in protecting the rooms (e.g. sabotage
of protective or signalling elements).
Universal transmitter
The magnetic opening contact can be used for connecting any released contact
(configurable by dip-switches). It thus becomes a universal transmitter.
