Read these instruction manual before using and keep it available at all times!

This instruction manual contains information about the installation, operation and maintenance of the device and should be consulted as an important source of information and reference guide. The knowledge of all the operational and safety instructions included in this manual is the pre-condition for the safe and proper dealing with the device. Furthermore, local regulations for health and safety protection and accident prevention should be observed. This instruction manual is an integral element of the product and should be stored in the direct vicinity of the device so that it would be available to the persons who install, operate, do maintenance work or clean the device.

In case the device is operated by third parties it is necessary to provide them with this instruction manual.

1. Safety

This device is designed in accordance with the current technical standards. However, the device may be a source of dangers, if used improperly or against its intended purpose. All the users must follow the information included in this instruction manual and observe the health and safety guidelines.

1.1. Warning symbols explanation

Important safety information and warning information are indicated in this instruction manual by appropriate warning symbols. You must strictly comply with the information to prevent accidents, personal injury and damage.

DANGER CAUTION

The warning symbol DANGER warns against a risk of severe injury or fatality, if not prevented.

The warning symbol CAUTION warns against a risk of minor or moderate injury, if not prevented.

WARNING

The warning symbol WARNING warns against a risk of severe or medium injury or fatality, if not prevented.

WARNING - HOT SURFACE

The warning symbol WARNING - HOT

SURFACE warns against a risk that may cause personal injury, i.e. burns, if not prevented.

1.2. Safety instructions

Risk of fatal electric shock!

 Too a high mains voltage or incorrect installations may cause electric shock.

 Connect the device to an easily accessible power supply socket so that in case of defect it is possible to immediately disconnect the device from the power supply.

 The device may be connected only when the information on the rating plate correspond with the mains voltage.

 The damaged power supply cord can be changed by the manufacturer or qualified staff only.

 Any repairs or housing opening may be carried out by professionals and relevant workshop only.

Power supply cord and plug

 Do not transport the device by holding the power supply cord.

 Do not use the device when the power supply cord or plug are visibly damaged or are broken.

 Never allow the power cord to come into contact with heat sources or sharp edges.

 Do not bend, pinch or knot the power supply cord.

 Always completely unwind the power supply cord.

 Never place the device or other objects on the power supply cord.

 Always hold of the plug to disconnect the device from the power supply.

 Do not connect the device to the multi-socket.

Risk of fatal short-circuit!

 Store the device so that it may not fall down to water e. g. in a washbasin or bath tube.

 Never hold of the device if it has fallen into water. In such the case, unplug immediately.

 Never immerse the device in water or other liquids.

 Liquids in the device may cause short-circuit.

 Use the device in the dry surrounding and indoors only.

 When cleaning, unplug the device.

 Do not touch the plug with wet hands.

Risk to life due to lack of experience and knowledge!

 Keep children away from the device and power supply cable.

 Store the device out of the reach of children.

 Do not leave the device unattended in the presence of children.

 Keep the packing films and polystyrene foam elements away from children. They may get embroiled and suffocate.

 The device is not intended for use by persons (including children) having limited physical, sensory or mental capacities or who have inadequate experience or knowledge.

 Never leave the operating device without supervision!

 Cleaning and maintenance works may not be carried out by children or persons having limited physical, sensory or mental capacities.

Health hazard due to burnt food!

 Burnt grilled food may cause cancer.

 Do not grill food to a very dark colour.

 Remove the burnt pieces.

Risk of burns by hot surfaces!

 The surfaces of the device become hot during operation. The temperature of the device remains high for some time after the device has been switched off.

 Do not grasp the grill plate or touch any surfaces of the device.

 The grill and grill plates may be transported only when they have cooled down completely.

Risk of fire due to flammable materials!

 The food on the grill may ignite. Flammable objects in the vicinity of the device may ignite.

 Do not place the device directly next to walls or other objects made from flammable materials. The device should be supervised.

 Do not use the device in the immediate vicinity of the heat source and hot surfaces.

 Do not place the flammable or inflammable objects on the hot surface of the grill or on the device.

 Do not cover the device for example with aluminium foil or towels.

 Clean the grill plate regularly to prevent risk of fire.

 Do not add cold water or flammable liquids onto the hot grill plate.

 Do not use the device to flambe.

 In case of fire, disconnect the device from the power supply before any fire extinguishing activities. Ensure enough fresh air after the fire has been estinguished.

Never use water to extinguish fire when the device is plugged into the power supply.

Risk of damage due to improper operation!

 Incorrect handling may cause damage to the device.

 Never expose the device to high temperature (a cooker, etc.) or weather conditions

(rain, etc.).

 Do not use the device or place on a hot surface, e. g. on a cooktop or near open fire.

 Do not allow that the power supply cord hangs above the edge of the working surface.

 Use the device only when it is positioned on an even, stable, and heat-resistant surface.

 Use the device with the clean grill plate only.

 Do not use the device with the external timer or remote control.

 In case the food has burnt, unplug the device and let it cool down.

 Do not use any sharp objects (knife, fork, etc.) to remove the burnt food from the grill. The sharp objects may damage the grill plate and cause electric shock when in contact with live parts.

 Use the device only in the standing position.

 Do not place the device under the kitchen cupboards. The cupboards may be damaged due to the hot air flowing up.

 Do not immerse the device in water or other liquids during cleaning.

 Do not use any scouring agents that include solvents or corrosive cleaning agents for cleaning. They may damage the surface.

1.3. Use as intended

Every use of the device for a different purpose and/or in a way that diverges from the intended use is not allowed and is assumed as the use against the intended purpose.

Any claims against the manufacturer or their authorized representatives as a consequence of experiencing damage resulting from the use against the intended purpose are inadmissible. The liability for damage occurred during the use of the device against its intended purpose is borne by the user. Safety operation of the device is guaranted only when it is used for its intended purpose and according to the instructions included in this manual.

The device is designed and manufactured for industrial use and can only be operated in kitchens by qualified staff.

Use the device only for grilling food

1.4. Use against the intended purpose

Any use other than those mentioned in point 1.3.

“Use as intended”, is assumed as the use against the intended purpose and is not allowed. The use against the intended purpose may lead to severe injury or damage caused by hazardous voltage, fire or high temperature. It is allowed to use the device to perform only the work described in the instruction manual. Incorrect handling may cause damage to the device. Any manipulation with the device, assembly or maintenance work may be performed exclusively by the authorized service staff.

2. General information

2.1. Manufacturer Liability and Warranties

All the information and instructions in this manual take into account standard safety regulations, current levels of technical engineering as well as the expertise and experience we have developed over the years. If the order consists of a special model or includes additional options, the actual scope of delivery may differ from the descriptions and illustrations in this manual. This is also the case when the state-of-theart technical solutions have been applied.

CAUTION!

Read this instruction manual before you use the device and particularly before you start the device to prevent injury or damage. Incorrect use may cause injury or damage.

The manufacturer is not liable for any damage or faults caused when:

 you do not follow the instructions,

 you use the device against the intended purpose,

 alterations are made by the user,

 inappropriate spare parts are used.

We reserve the right to introduce technical modifications to the product which are intended for improvement of the device and its performance.

3. Transport, packaging and storage

3.1. Delivery check

Check the delivery upon completeness and transport damage immediately after receipt.

In case of visible transport damage refuse to accept the receipt or conditionally accept the receipt. Note the scope of damage on the transport documents/consignment list of the shipping company and place a complain. Hidden damage must be reported immediately upon its discovery as compensation claims may only be presented within the applicable time-limits.

3.2. Packaging

The packaging and its elements are made of recyclable materials. Particularly, plastic films and bags, cardboard boxes. Do not dispose of the device cardboard box. It may be used to store the device when relocating or when sending the device to our service point in case of any defaults. Before you start the device, completely discard any external or internal packaging material. Check that the unit and all accessories are present. If you find that something is missing, please contact our Customer Service

Department. When managing the packaging observe the applicable domestic law.

Introduce the recyclable packaging materials to recycling.

3.3. Storage

Leave the packaging closed until installation of the device, and follow the external indications as to the location and storage. Store the packaging only in the following conditions:

 not outdoors,

 in dry and dust free surroundings,

 away from aggressive agents,

 not exposed to direct sunlight,

 protected against mechanical shocks.

In case of longer storage time (> 3 months) check the general state of all the elements and packaging and refresh or renew, if necessary.

5. Installation and operation

5.1. Installation

5.1.1. Location

 Remove the device from the packaging and discard all the packing materials.

 Never remove the rating plate or any warning signs from the device.

 The installation place must be easily accessible and sufficiently spacious to allow easy operation of the device and good air circulation.

 Allow 10 cm space at the sides and at the rear away from the walls and other objects.

 In case of the smaller space place the protective elements, e. g. heat resistant film.

 Place the device in a well-ventilated room or under an extraction hood.

 Place the device on top of an even, stable, dry, and water and heat resistant surface.

 Never place the device directly underneath a hanging cupboard as hot air moves upwards.

 Never use the device at the edge of a table as the device may fall over and down.

 Locate the device so that the plug is easily accessible and can be quickly disconnected from the power supply, if necessary.

 Remove the protective film from the device before use. Remove the film slowly in order not to leave the glue residues. Any glue residues may be removed with the use of proper solvent.

 Attach the grease collection tray by inserting it by its high side under the grill plate (9).

5.1.2. Connection

DANGER!

Risk of fatal electric shock!

Incorrect electric installations or too high mains voltage may cause electric shock.

 The equipotential bonding (ground pin) should be connected to the grounding point only by a qualified electrician.

1. Verify if the technical specification of the device (see the rating plate) correspond to the local electricity grid.

2. Position the device.

3. Completely unwind the cable.

4. Connect the device to a single grounded socket with 16A protection.

The equipotential bonding (ground pin) is located at the rear of the device.

5.2. Operation

5.2.1. Before the first use

NOTE

Incorrect use may cause damage.

 Use the device only with the grease collection tray attached to it to prevent the device damage or soiling.

The grease colletion tray (9), where the dripping fat and other liquids from the grill are collected, is located at the front of the lower grill plate.

WARNING!

Risk of health hazards due to smoke!

Due to production residues slight smoke may be emitted.

 The first time, start the grill without any products for grilling and ensure enough ventilation at its location.

Before the first use, burn in and clean the grill plates (9, 11). It is necessary to burn in the grill plates only before the first use to remove any production residues.

Burn-in:

1. Make sure that there are no packing materials or other objects on the grill plates

(9, 11).

2. Clean the grill plates (9,

11) (see section „6. Cleaning and maintenance”).

3. Position the device according to the description.

4. Plug into a single grounded socket.

5. Insert the grease collection tray (8) by its high side under the grill plate (9).

6. Close the device with the operating handle (13).

7. Set the ON/OFF switch to its I position. The device ir ready for use, the green power indicator light in the ON/OFF switch (1) is on.

CAUTION - HOT SURFACE

Risk of burns by hot surfaces!

The casing and grill plates become hot.

 Do not touch any surfaces.

8. Turn the temperature controller knob (3) clockwise to the highest level.

9. Heat up the device for 20 minutes.

Switch off the device after 20 minutes:

10. Turn the temperature controller knob (3) anti-clockwise to its 0 position.

11. Set the ON/OFF switch (1) to O to switch off the device.

12. Pull the plug from the socket.

CAUTION - HOT SURFACE

Risk of burns by hot surfaces!

The casing and grill plates remain hot after the device has been switched off.

 Do not touch any surfaces.

13. Leave the device to cool down completely.

14. Open the device with the operating handle (13) and lift the upper grill plate (11).

15. Clean the surfaces of the grill plates (9, 11) with a damp cloth.

16. Dry the surfaces of the grill plates (9, 11) with a soft cloth.

The device is ready for grilling.

5.2.2. Grilling

Pay attention that the device is used only with the grease collection tray attached to it to prevent damage and soiling to the device.

The device is supplied with the temperature controller knob. The temperature may be controlled in the range of 50 °C to 300 °C. It is recommened to maintain the operating temperature between 200 °C and 250 °C.

1. Close the device with the operating handle (13).

2. Insert the power plug into the socket.

3. Set the ON/OFF switch (1) to its I position. The device is ready for use, the green power indicator light in the ON/OFF switch (1) is on.

CAUTION - HOT SURFACE

Risk of burns by hot surfaces!

The casing and grill plates become hot.

 Do not touch any surfaces.

4. Turn the temperature controller knob (3) to a desired temperature. The orange heating indicator light (2) is on, the device is heating up.

The heating time is approximately 20 minutes to reach 250 °C. When the required temperature has been reached the orange heating indicator light (2) is off. When the temperature falls down by approx. 10 °C, the heating is turned on again and the orange heating control light (2) comes on.

5. Open the device with the operating handle (13) and lift the upper grill plate.

6. Depending on the product to be grilled, apply some edible oil to the grill plates

(9, 11) to prevent the food from burning.

7. Place the food on the grill.

8. Close the device with the operating handle (13). It is not necessary to rotate the food.

9. Watch the product until the grilling process has been finished.

10.

Turn the temperature controller knob (3) to “0“ once you have finished grilling.

WARNING!

Risk of scalding by steam!

When the device has been opened hot steam may be released.

Open the device slowly and with care.

11. Open the device with the operating handle (13)

NOTE

Avoid using hard and sharp objects to prevent damage to the surfaces and operating elements.

12. Remove the ready food from the grill plate (9).

13. Set the ON/OFF switch to its O position.

14. Pull the plug from the socket.

5.2.3. Programs

The device can memorize 6 different time programs to enable grilling food that requires different heat processing time. The programs can be selected using the timer (6) button

Setting cooking programs:

1. Choose a program by pressing the timer (6) button several times.

2. With the UP/DOWN buttons (4) set the time in 1-second intervals.

Hold the UP/DOWN button (4) for longer to get setting in 10-second intervals.

3. Set required time in the range from 1 second to 99:59 minutes.

4. Press the Start/Stop button (7) to switch on the timer.

5. Press the Start/Stop button (7) to switch off the timer.

After the set time has expired the acoustic signal sounds and the display shows End1.

End1 means the end of program 1.

6. Cancel the acoustic signal and digital display (5) indications with the Start / Stop button (7).

6. Cleaning and maintenance

WARNING!

Risk of short-circuit due to presence of liquids!

Liquids in the device may cause short-circuit.

 Do not allow any liquids to enter into the device.

The device is not designed for flushing with direct water jet. Do not clean the device with use of water jet!

NOTE

Incorrect use may cause damage.

 For cleaning the device, use a soft cloth only, never use aggressive cleaning agents or coarse brushes.

 Clean the device after each use.

6.1. Cleaning the unit

1. Turn the temperature controller knob (3) anti-clockwise to its 0 position.

2. Set the ON/OFF switch to its O position. The device is switched off and the green power indicator light in the ON/OFF switch is not lit.

3. Pull the plug from the socket.

4. Leave the device to cool down completely.

5. Clean the outside of the casing (12) and operating handle (13) with a damp cloth.

6. In case of more stubborn soiling you can use mild detergent.

7. Open the device with the operating handle (13) and lift the upper grill plate.

8. Clean the grill plates (9, 11) with warm water and mild detergent and a soft cloth.

9. Carefully remove coarse soiling by the supplied brush (17).

10. Empty and clean the grease collection tray (8).

11. After cleaning, dry and polish the surface (12, 15) with a dry, soft cloth.

12. Make sure that the device has been properly cleaned before leaving it in a dry place.

6.2. Cleaning the grease collection tray

NOTE!

Incorrect use may cause damage.

 Empty and clean the grease collection tray after each use.

At the front of the lower grill plate (9) there is the grease collection tray (8) collecting the dripping fat and other liquids.

1. Set the ON/OFF switch (1) to its O position. The device is switched off and the green power indicator light in the ON/OFF switch (1) is not lit.

2. Pull the plug from the socket.

CAUTION - HOT SURFACE

Risk of burns by hot surfaces and fat!

The casing and grill plates remain hot after the device has been switched off.

 Protect your hands and face from possible fat splashes.

 Do not touch any surfaces.

3. Leave the device and grease collection tray (8) to cool down completely.

4. Remove the grease collection tray (8) with the handles of the device.

5. Clean the grease collection tray (8) with warm water and soft cloth.

6. Dry the grease collection tray (8) with a dry, soft cloth.

7. Insert the higher side of the grease collection tray (8) at the front of the lower grill plate (9).

6.3. Storing the device

If the unit is to remain unused for a longer period of time, clean it according to the instructions and store in a dry, clean place, safe from frost and sun and inaccessible to children. Do not place any heavy objects on the device.

7. Possible defects

In case of malfunction immediately disconnect the device from the power supply

(unplug). Before contacting the customer service department or vendor check the troubleshooting table below.

Problem Possible reason Solution

The grill plates do not get warm although the device has been turned on and the orange temperature indicator light is on.

The temperature controller knob is damaged.

At least one heating wire is damaged.

The overheating protection has been activated.

Contact the vendor.

Contact the vendor.

Leave the device to cool down and push the

RESET button located at the lower part of the device .

The device is switched on.

The orange indicator light is on but the temperature cannot be set.

The temperature controller is damaged.

The orange heating up indicator light is not on although the device is turned on and the grilling process runs as normal.

The indicator light is damaged.

The green indicator light in the ON/OFF switch is not on although the device is turned on.

Incorrect or missing power supply.

The fuse is activated.

If the malfunction cannot be fixed:

Contact the vendor.

Contact the vendor.

Check the power supply and the cable for damage or faults.

Contact the vendor.

NOTE

Improper use may cause damage.

 Never open the body.

Notify the vendor or customer service. Indicate the type of the fault and the item code number, and serial number of the device. This information is located on the rating plate in the rear face of the device.

8. Disposal

Old devices

The electric devices are marked with this symbol. You must not dispose of electric devices with household waste. When the device may not be longer used each consumer is obliged to dispose of the device at the dedicated local collection point, separately from household waste.

NOTE!

Electric devices should be used and disposed of properly to prevent the impact on the environment.

 Disconnect the device from the power supply and remove the power cord from the device with the use of diagonal pliers.
