Limited Warranty
Filter Cartridge Limited Warranty
WHAT IS COVERED:
• Replacement, at no charge to you, within thirty (30) days of installation, any part of water filter
cartridge which fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship during this limited thirty-day
warranty.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED:
• Service trips to installation site to train user on how to use product
• Improper installation
• Failure of product if it is abused, misused, or used for other than the intended purpose
• Replacement of water filter cartridge due to water pressure that is outside the specified operating range or due to excessive sediment in water supply; or replacement with non-authorized
replacement cartridge
• Damage to product caused by accident, fire, floods or acts of God
• Incidental or consequential damage caused by possible defects with any other equipment not
covered by this warranty
This warranty is extended to original purchaser, by authorized OEM customers.
Some states do not allow exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. This
warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to
state, or country to country. To know what your legal rights are, consult your local or state consumer
affairs office, your state’s Attorney General, or your national equivalent for international users.
SPECIAL NOTICES:
• Do not use water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after installing filter or system
• Systems certified for Cyst reduction may be used on disinfected water that may contain filterable cysts
• Any system this filter is installed in must be maintained according to manufacturer’s instructions, including replacement of filter cartridges
• Contaminants or other substances removed or reduced by this water filter cartridge are not
necessarily in your water
• Note that while testing was performed under standard laboratory conditions, actual performance may vary. Systems using these filters must be installed and operated in accordance
with manufacturer’s recommended procedures and guidelines.
*This product is not certified as a microbiological purifier and should not be applied
as a stand-alone disinfection solution for microbiologically unsafe water.

Pre-Installation Information
The Hellenbrand Filtration Cartridge system
has been pre-assembled. The actual cartridge
filter may or may not be pre-installed. If the
filter needs to be installed please read the
installation procedures for proper instructions need to be installed into the tank to
complete assembly.
be made so that the system is located close to a
drain. Also make sure the installation site has
enough overhead clearance for installation and
replacement of the cartridges.
Read this complete guide to familiarize yourself with assembly, installation and operation
of the cartridge filter system.
An optional bottom drain is available for these
cartridge filter systems to allow rinsing of the
cartridge.
The installation site selection for the
Hellenbrand Filtration Cartridge System may
vary depending on the purpose it will serve.
This versatile filter may be used as pre- or
post-filtration in a water treatment system.
Depending on the application, this system
can also be utilized as a single tank system.
Regardless of application, provisions should
When replacing the cartridge, water may spill
from the housing; therefore, precautions should
be taken to prevent any damage due to water
while rinsing or replacing the cartridge.
Orientation of the system may be vertical or
horizontal which ever fits the site application.
Homeowner, please read operating and cartridge
replacement change out instructions.
1
Installation & Bypass Considerations
Provisions should be made to install three 90 degree ball valves to create a bypass to the cartridge
filter tank. Because of the pipe size, this will need to be created on the job site. Any piping materials
may be used; however, be sure to observe local plumbing codes. These ball valves should be turned
off to the filter tank for future cartridge replacement and allow for system bypassing should other
service be required.
NOTE: Drain should be considered in plumbing system as per diagram. Opening drain valve will
allow for flushing of cartridge. Closing inlet and outlet valve and opening drain will relieve pressure
on filter tank for cartridge replacement.
