PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Promentum® SYS-6016 and SYS-6014 are fully integrated high-capacity 13U 14
or 16 slot ATCA carrier-grade platforms that deliver industry-leading 10-Gigabit switching,
compute, packet processing, and media processing capabilities.
The SYS-6016 and SYS-6014 platforms meet the unique carrier-grade requirements
of the telecommunications industry. The platform comes standard with dual Promentum
ATCA-2210 10-Gigabit switch and control modules which provide highly integrated
centralized functions such as switching, shelf management, network-timing and system
management capabilities. In addition, the ATCA-2210, supports the RadiSys switching
software that has been hardened and now running live in a deployed network. also a
variety of payload blades are offered, including high-performance multi-core compute
modules, SATA/SAS storage solutions, high-density media processing and packet processing modules. With a multitude of preintegrated payload blades, the Promentum SYS-6016 is an ideal choice for 3G wireless and wireline infrastructure requirements
for applications such as Radio Network Controllers (RNC/BSC), Media Gateways, IMS (CSCF, Application and Media servers), and
IPTV.

The ATCA-2210 is an industry first 10 Gigabit (10GE) capable
AdvancedTCA switch and control module. It is ideal for next generation
network elements in 3G-wireless and wire-line infrastructure. It meets or
exceeds the switching requirements for applications like Radio Network
Controllers (RNC/BSC), Media Gateways, IMS (CSCF, Application and
Media servers) and IPTV.
The ATCA-2210 is architected to be the heart of a cost-effective ATCA
platform, providing highly integrated, centralized common equipment functions – switching, shelf management, network timing and
system management functionalities. It incorporates innovative and modular design to provide a highly configurable solution. For

40G Broadcom Switch & Control
The ATCA-2340 is architected to be the heart of a cost-effective ATCA
platform, providing highly integrated, centralized common equipment
functions – switching, shelf management, network timing and system
management functionalities.
The ATCA-2340 Broadcom 40G switch incorporates innovative and
modular design to provide a highly configurable solution. For example,
the designer can select L2 or L3 routing capabilities, I/O, network timing,
and system management. It will meet or exceed bandwidth requirements for next-generation applications like LTE, WiMAX, DPI, and
Mobile Video.
40GbE Fabric to Enable Highest Fabric Interconnectivity
The ATCA-2340 provides 40GbE hub-to-node connectivity. With the growth in video expected to put pressure on today’s 10GE
infrastructure, the ATCA-2340 Broadcom 40G switch will provide the bandwidth necessary to implement 4G wireless as well as the
next generation of video. The integrated switch silicon provides support for priority queues, packet classification, and flow control to
enable strict bandwidth management for implemented applications.
The ATCA-2340 Broadcom 40G switch incorporates the latest generation of switching technology to provide 40GbE connectivity
to the nodes slots in both 14- and 16-slot chassis as well as 40GbE I/O. Additionally, the ATCA-2340 also provides a considerable
increase in front and rear I/O to provide the ports necessary to handle the throughput requirements of video and LTE.

ATCA-4550 10G Compute blades based on Intel Xeon 5600
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The ATCA-4550 and the ATCA-4555 are the 8th
generation single board computers from RadiSys. They
are high performance, single slot AdvancedTCA computer
modules based on the single socket L5638 or E5645 Intel®
Xeon® processor. They are ideal for control plane and server
functions for LTE wireless
infrastructure, Deep Packet Inspection, IPTV, IP multimedia
subsystems and defense application. The ATCA-4550 series
provides 10-Gigabit fabric connectivity, 8 DDR3 DIMM
sockets, an AMC slot and an several optional RTMs that offer
additional storage and network interface options.
The ATCA-4550 Series is designed to give customers
a choice to meet various performance, price and thermal
requirements. The ATCA-4550 is based on a single 60W
L5638 processor and is an ideal solution for upgrading 1st
generation ATCA chassis already deployed in the network. It
provides over a 30% performance increase over a 60W L5518 process and provides the same thermal footprint. The ATCA-4555 is
based on a single 80W E5645 processor, which offers dual L5518 like performance at a lower total cost of ownership and a better
thermal footprint. The ATCA-4555 is ideally suited for 2nd and 3rd Generation chassis providing the best price/performance while
still meeting NEBS requirements.

ATCA-4600
Dual Intel Xeon “Sandy Bridge” ATCA Compute
The ATCA-4600 is a 9th generation single board compute module
from Radisys. It is a high performance, single slot ATCA blade based
on either the dual socket E5-2448L Intel Xeon processor or the E52428L Intel Xeon processor.
ATCA-4600 Sandy Bridge ATCA compute module is ideal for control
plane and server functions for LTE wireless infrastructure, Deep Packet
Inspection (DPI), IPTV, IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), and defense
applications. The ATCA-4600 provides 40-Gigabit fabric connectivity,
12 DDR3 DIMM sockets, a mezzanine slot, and several optional RTM
offerings with additional storage and network interface choices.
High Performance / Low Cost
The dual eight-core E5-2448L processor provides higher performance at a lower cost per cycle than the previous generation of
single quad-core L5518 processor ATCA modules. Support for Hyper-threading in this dual processor SMP design allows the 16
cores to process up to 32 threads simultaneously, so to the OS the processor appears as 32 separate cores.
The ATCA-4600 Sandy Bridge ATCA compute module integrated memory controller significant reduces memory latency. Support
for 12 DDR3 VLP RDIMMs allows memory density of up to 96GB, while providing a cost-effective solution for applications that have
lower density memory requirements.

Dual Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 v3
The ATCA-4700 is a 10th generation, high-performance, singleslot compute blade based on the dual socket E5-2600 v3 Intel®
Xeon® processors with 8 VLP DIMM sockets.
ATCA-4700 compute module is ideal for Deep Packet Inspection
(DPI), packet processing, video optimization, applications that require
High Density I/O and the highest performance processing possible.
Server Class Performance
Developers want the most performance they can get in an ATCA
blade. The ATCA-4700 provides 40GbE network throughput and
reduces the number of blades in a system. The ATCA-4700 provides
an optimized cost-performance range of E5-2600 v3 processors
with capacity up to 512Gb of DDR4 memory via 8 VLP DIMM sockets. This combination of processor and memory density enables
the highest processing performance possible in a single slot.
ATCA-7220
Dual OCTEON™ CN58xx Packet Processing Module
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Radisys ATCA-7220 is an AdvancedTCA packet processing blade
that provides highest available Gigabit Ethernet density and throughput. It
incorporates two industry leading Cavium Networks OCTEON™ Plus multicore processors with a powerful architecture to be used for intense packet

On-board 10 Gigabit and 1 Gigabit Ethernet switching, acting as a “Smart Front-End”, allows powerful and flexible data flow for
sophisticated security processing and traffic handling. AdvancedTCA form factor makes it appropriate for use in Carrier Grade
network elements such as Security, Media Gateways and high bandwidth RNC and other network elements in wireless and
broadband infrastructure. The AdvancedTCA module is available fully integrated into the award winning RadiSys Promentum™
SYS-6010 10 Gigabit Application Ready Platform to enable faster time to market for TEMs/NEPs to develop their next generation
network elements.
The ATCA-7220 is a single slot AdvancedTCA packet processing module/blade compliant with PICMG 3.1 Option 9 interface
specification. The OCTEON CN58xx processors are independent Data Processing Blocks with independent memory associated
with them. Each processor includes up to 16 GB of SDRAM through two VLP MiniRDIMMs. For faster table look up applications,
128MB RLDRAM is optionally supported. The processors can also be configured in a pipelined mode by setting up the data flow to
pass through the 10GE switch with HiGig™ capability in a “cut-through” fashion.

Dual Cavium OCTEON II CN68xx Packet Processing
The ATCA-7240, is the third-generation of Radisys packet processing
products based on the Cavium Networks OCTEON family of multi-core
processors.
The ATCA-7240 is a versatile full-duplex 40G packet processing
module utilizing two powerful OCTEON II CN68XX processors, each
with 32 cnMIPS64 cores and comprehensive hardware acceleration that
provides a complete line-rate solution for applications such as Serving
Gateways (SGW), Session Border Control (SBC), Security Gateways,
Deep Packet Inspection (DPI), Edge Routers, Media Gateways and
Mobility Management Entity (MME) network elements found in the 4G
LTE Evolved Packet Core (EPC).

The ATCA-7240 with Dual OCTEON II CN68XX processors improves upon the field-proven advantages of the previous generation
ATCA-7220 Dual OCTEON CN58XX by delivering up to 80 gigabits per second (Gbps) processing performance, increased memory
capacity and maximum I/O density to meet industry demand for highly integrated, higher performance-per-watt solutions and
provides a path for future scalability to next-generation networks.
The ATCA-7240 is based on two powerful OCTEON II CN68XX processors, each with 32 cnMIPS64 cores and comprehensive
hardware acceleration for demanding packet processing, security and deep packet inspection applications with or without I/O.
The ATCA-7240 processing architecture is capable of providing 40 Gbps full duplex line rate processing performance with the
OCTEON II 32-core processors. It also features memory capacity of up to a total of 64GB DDR3 on board, enabling a larger number
of data flows and subscribers per slot. The ATCA-7240 also supports up to 160 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) of maximum port density in
a single-slot ATCA solution.
Additionally, the ATCA-7240 packet processing module includes a multilayer switch on-board that acts as a Smart Front-End for
the OCTEON II processors. This Smart Front-End architecture allows independent resetting of the OCTEON II processing complexes
for fault isolation, off-loading and augmenting the OCTEON II data path processing software, and providing flexible data flow options.
This inherent versatility provides OEMs the option to re-use the ATCA-7240 across a multitude of different applications.
