The RX-A1040 delivers the kind of superb audio

It incorporates the ES9006 Premier Audio DAC from
ESS Technology, a solution with exceptionally good S/N
ratio and dynamic range that provides true professional
digital audio quality.
The RX-A1040 also
uses ultra-low jitter
PLL circuitry, which
prevents the type of
digital distortion known
as jitter from affecting
the sound quality.

using Wireless Direct, you can connect the AV receiver
wirelessly and directly
to a smartphone,

the phone via AirPlay

the receiver via AV

HDMI zone switching provides enhanced zone customization
for expanded AV enjoyment. With zone switching, people
in two different rooms can enjoy, not just one HD audio/
video source, but two different ones. In addition, the
receiver supports the latest version of HDMI for 4K 50/60p
transmission, ensuring compatibility with future versions of
super high definition video.
