5. FRONT and REAR PANEL
5-1. FRONT PANEL
POWER SWITCH:Power on/off Switch
Input power is always connected without depending on this power switch on/off.
When the power switch is on, AC input power is supplied to receiver for normal operation.
When the power switch is off, AC input power is supplied to receiver for standby
operation.
MEMU:Display main menu.
OK:Select menu, item or value.
CHANNEL:Channel up/down.
VOLUME:Volume up/down
5-2. REAR PANNEL
IF INPUT:Input port of LNB output signal. The LNB is connected in a satellite dish. The
frequency of LNB output signal is in the range of 950~2150MHz.
LOOP :Output port via loop-through for second receive IF input signal
ANT IN:Input port of external TV ANT. Signal.
TO TV :Output port to be connected to TV ANT IN.
SPDIF:PCM audio output port (Option)
RS232C:RS-232C cable connecting port to PC
AUDIO:Audio output port to be connected via RCA connector to TV
VIDEO:Video output port to be connected via RCA connector to TV

8-1. MAIN MENU
Installation:All the functions and the items for TP search are set on this menu.System
Setting:All the system conditions of receiver are set in this menu.
User Preference:User preference items are set on this menu.
Channel Edit:Instruction menu for channel edit. Where functions about channel edit such
as delete, move, rename, sort, lock, favorite are set on this menu.
Games:Games are provided for user on this menu.
8-1-1. INSTALLATION
⑴ When cursor is moved on a satellite name
by up/down key, if the default values of
items at the right side are all correct, green
signal should be appeared on signal bar.
But if at least more than one of default
values are not correct, green signal should
not be appeared on signal bar.
In this case, move the cursor to right side by
using right key and select correct values on
each item by using up/down and right/left
key, and then green signal is appeared on
signal bar when all the values are selected
correctly.
When you want to go from right side to left
side (the satellite name menu), press OK
key.
When you want to select multi-satellite,
press OK key on the satellite name which

you want to select, and move to another satellite name which you want to select and
press OK key on the satellite.
You can select multi-satellite by doing this
work repeatedly.
When you want to cancel selection of a
selected satellite, press OK key on the
selected satellite name.
This OK key is operated as toggle key for
satellite selection.
Press search all ( blue ) key to search all the
TPs of the selected satellites, All the TPs of
single-satellite or all the TPs of
multi-satellite are searched by only one
search all (blue) key.
⑵ Delete, Add, Rename of Satellite
Delete, Add, Rename of satellite are
operated by pressing each of the red,
green, yellow key.
When you want to delete a selected satellite,
press Delete (red) key, and then pop up
menu with “ Do you want to delete? “ is displayed.
Press OK key to delete it. Otherwise, press
Back key.
When you want to add a satellite, press Add
(green) key, and then ADD menu is
displayed.
Edit the name of a satellite to add on ADD
menu, and then press save (red) key to
save it. Otherwise, press Back key.
When you want to rename the name of a
selected satellite, press Rename (yellow)
key, and then RENAME menu is displayed.
Edit the name of a satellite on RENAME menu, and then press save (red) key to save
it. Otherwise, press Back key.
⑶ TP Search
When you want to search only one TP, press TP Setup (green) key on “TP Setup” item,
and then TP Setup is displayed. When you move cursor on the TP frequency which you
want to search, if blue signal is appeared on signal bar, all the TP values on the item
is selected correctly. Press Search (blue) key for the TP search.

If blue signal is not appeared on signal bar, press OK key, and then “Edit Frequency
menu” is displayed. When you edit or change correctly the TP values of all the items
on the menu by using number or right/left key, blue signal is appeared on the signal
bar placed in back menu and press OK key to save these values.
Press Search (blue) key for the TP search. Otherwise, press back key.
⑷ POSITIONER setting with DiSEqC1.2 and USALS
When you want POSITIONER setting for DiSEqC1.2 or USALS, press OK key on the
satellite which you want to select, and then move curser to right with right directed
volume key. Press yellow key on right side of installation menu, and then POSITIONER
setting menu is displayed.
(a) POSITIONER setting with DiSEqC1.2
Select DiSEqC1.2.
Select or edit the values of all other items correctly.
Move dish to West or East with directed volume key, and stop moving when green
signal is appeared and arrived maximum level.
Select “save” on “Command” with directed volume key, and press OK key to save
the antenna position.
Press blue key on the same menu only for the selected one TP search one.
Press blue key on the previous menu for all TP search.
Otherwise, press back key.
Recommend:If you choose following steps, you can easily make a decision of
direction where you move dish because you may know your local
longitude.
1. select “continuous” on “Step size”.
2. move dish to zero position, and then move dish to your satellite
position from zero position.
(b) POSITIONER setting with USALS
Select USALS.
Press OK key on “Satellite”, and then
“Edit Satellite” menu is displayed, edit
values of your local longitude and latitude
on the menu and press OK key to save
the values.
Select “Go to Sat Post” on “Command” with
directed volume key, and then press OK key.
Dish is moved, stop moving when green
signal is appeared, and save the position, automatically.
Press blue key on the same menu only for the selected one TP search one.
Press blue key on the previous menu for all TP search.

Otherwise, press back key.
8-1-2. SYSTEM SETTING
⑴ Parental
Select “Parental”, and then pop up menu is
displayed, where there are “change
password”, “menu lock”, “channel lock”.
“Rating lock”, “age limit” items.
(a) Change password:default password is “0000”, and you can change password
whenever you want by yourself.
(b) Menu lock:when you select “yes”, password is required in each item, which you
to open, on main menu.
(c) Channel lock:when you select “yes”, you can make the channels, which you want,
lock in channels edit mode. when you want to display the locked channels,
password is required in each channel which you want to display.
(d) Rating lock and Age limit:when you select “yes” on “Rating Lock” and select a
age, which you want, on “Age Limit”, password is required in the channels belong
to lower age limit than the age ,which you select, on “Age Limit” item.
⑵ Time Adjustment
Select “Time Adjustment”, and then pop up menu is displayed, GMT Time Offset:You
can select GMT time of your local area.
Current Time:You can edit current time of your local area.
Wake Up Time:You can edit time when receiver is turn on from standby mode to
active mode automatically.
Sleep Time:You can edit time when receiver is turn on automatically from active
mode to standby mode.
Function key for time edit: Press volume up/down key, and then time edit mode is
generated, and time is set with channel up/down key in this mode.
otherwise channel up/down key is used for up/down key.
⑶ Receiver Upgrade
Select “Receiver Upgrade”, and then pop up menu is displayed.
The software on this menu is upgraded in the system which is set top to set top.
All the software that you select “Yes” on each item are upgraded from the transmitting
set top to the receiving set top at a time.
How to upgrade:Please follow following steps with step by step.

First, all the software that you select “Yes” on each item.
Second, press “OK” key.
Third, turn off main power switch of receiving set top, and then turn it on.
⑷ Factory Setting
Select “Factory Setting”. “Do you want factory setting?” is displayed on pop-up menu.
Press “OK” key to make all the values of receiver set to factory default values.
Otherwise, press “Back” key.
⑸ System Information
Select “System Information”, and then System Info. Menu is displayed.
Current software information of your receiver such as hardware, main software, boot
loader, user data, user code is displayed on the pop-up menu.
8-1-3. USER PREFERENCE
This menu make your receiver work with the items which you select in this menu.
When you select User Preference menu, and then following menus are displayed.
“TV Language, Screen Format, Screen Type, TV Mode, RF Mode, RF Channel RF Mode,
Info. display, Transparency, Dish Move Time” on a item which you you want to select,
and a pop up menu belong to the item is displayed.
Press OK key on a item, which you want to select, in the pop up menu.

TV Language
When you want to change the edited language on menus by factory, You can select one
of the language which you want. The default language is English.
Screen Format
You can select either 4 x 3 ratio or 16 x 9 ratio according to the TV type. The selected
format of the video is displayed on screen.
TV Mode
You can select one of TV modes which are Auto, PAL, NTSC in this item.

Screen Type
You can select one of screen types which are Full Disp, Letter Box, PAN SCAN in this
item.
RF Channel
When the STB is connected to the TV by the RF jack. You can select one of the RF
channel numbers from Ch21 to Ch69 in this item. The default channel number is 31.
RF Mode
You can select one of RF modes which are PAL-I, PAL-B/G, P-M, NTSC in this item.

INFO. Display
You can select one of Info. Display time, which
are 4 different times from 2sec. to 10 sec in this
item. It is maximum time for Info menu to be
displayed on the live continuously from the
moment when a channel is started.
Transparency
You can set a level of OSD Transparency in this item. Here are 6 kinds of different levels
from 0 to 40. The default level is 5.
Dish Move Time
Maximum moving time of USALS motor on POSITIONER setting menu is set on this item.
Default value of the moving time is 30 sec.
Press “OK” key on this item, and then dish moving time menu is displayed.
You can select one of the moving time and press “OK” key to save it.

Fade In/Out
When a live picture is changed from current live to another live, you can select one of
2 types, which is frozen and fade in/out. In this receiver, the default type is frozen.
When you select “yes” on this item, the type is changed to fade in/out.
8-1-4. CHANNEL EDIT
1. Select “Channel Edit by press OK key in main menu.
Following functions are activated in Edit menu.
“Delete channel, Move channel, Rename channel, Sort channel, Favorite channel group,
Channel lock Volume control and mute”
Delete Channel:
Press RED key. If you want to delete data of channel in pop-up menu, select one of
items in pop-up menu and press OK key.
And then the data of the channel is deleted automatically.
Otherwise, press “Back” key.
Move channel:
If you want to move a selected channel, press GREEN key.
And then move icon is displayed on the channel name is displayed.
Move the channel where you want to move by “up/down” key, and then press “OK” key.

Rename :
Maximum number of character to be edited for rename is 16.
If you want to rename a selected channel, press YELLOW key.
And then pop-up menu for rename is displayed.
Move curser by “ left/right “ key and “up/down” key to the character which you want to
select.
And then press “RED” key to select the character.
If you want to erase the selected character, move curser on the selected character to the
character, which you want to erase, by “GREEN AND YELLOW” key.
And then press “ BLUE” key to erase the character.
If you do not want to rename, press “Back” key.
Sort Channel:
Press BLUE key. And then pop-up menu is displayed.
Select one of items in pop-up menu, and then press “OK” key to start sorting.
Favorite channel group
8 favorite group can be created, and favorite channel can be selected in channel edit
menu by user and it can be edited in the each group Press F(FAV) key. And then pop-up
menu with a favorite group number is displayed.
Select channel by “OK” key, and then the selected channel is edited in the pop-up menu.
If you want different kind of favorite group, press F(FAV) key repeatedly, and then the
different group number is displayed in the pop-up menu from 1 to 8.

Channel lock:
Press OK key, and then channel lock icon is
displayed on the channel name, which means
that the channel is locked. Whenever you want to
watch the channel, you should edit your
password.
VIDEO/RADIO selection
Press VIDEO/RADIO key, VIDEO or RADIO
channel is selected by toggle operation.If there is not TV or RADIO channel in the selected
satellite, this function is not operated.
Volume control and mute
Press up/down key, and then volume pop-up is displayed. Level of the volume is
controlled by pressing the volume up/down key.If you want to change the sound into
mute, press mute key. This key is worked as toggle switch to make mute on/off.
8-1-5. 8-1-5. UTILITY
1. Select “Utility” by press OK key in main menu.
Following items are displayed on “Utility” menu.
“Tetris, Calendar”
Select Tetris and press “OK” key, and then Tetris start to work.
Select Calendar and press “OK” key, and then Calendar is displayed.

8-2. CHANNEL LIST
The channel names, which is searched belong to all or one satellite, can be displayed
as follows.
“Satellite select, FTA/CAS select, Channel Sort, Multi-Picture, Favorite Channel group
select, TV/Radio select”
Satellite select
Press Satellite (green) key, and then pop-up menu to select satellite is displayed.
Select one the item and press OK key, and then the channel list belong to the satellite
is displayed automatically.
Otherwise, press Back key.
FTA/CAS selection
Press FTA/CAS (red) key, and then Both FTA and CAS, FTA or CAS channel list displayed
automatically.
This key is worked as triple switch.
Channel Sort
Press Sort (yellow) key, and then pop-up menu to sort channel names is displayed.
Select one item and press OK key, and then the channel sort is made automatically.
Otherwise, press Back key.
Favorite group channel list
The channel list, which is created and edited in channel edit menu, can be selected and
displayed by user in this channel list menu.
Press F(FAV) key. And then favorite list with a favorite group number is displayed.
If you want to display channel list of different group, press F(FAV) key repeatedly
and then the channel list of different group is displayed in the pop-up menu from 1 to
8.
Video/Radio channel list selection
Press VIDEO/Radio key, and then channel list of TV or Radio can be displayed by toggle
operation.

Volume Control and Mute
Press up/down key, and then volume pop-up is displayed. Level of the volume is
controlled by pressing the volume up/down key.
If you want to change the sound into mute, press mute key. This key is worked as toggle
switch to make mute on/off.
8-3. ON LIVE PICTURE
⑴ FTA/CAS selection
Press FTA/CAS key, and then FTA channel only, CAS channel only, both FTA and CAS
channel is selected with toggle operation and it’s current channel is displayed
⑵ SAT selection
Press SAT key, and then satellite list menu is displayed. If you want to select one of
the item and press OK key.
Otherwise, press back key.
⑶ TV/SAT selection
Press TV/SAT key, and then TV mode, SAT mode is selected with toggle operation.
⑷ AUDIO Sound selection
Press AUDIO key, and then sound menu is displayed. If you want to select one of the
item and press OK key.
Otherwise, press back key.
⑸ VIDEO/RADIO selection
Press VIDEO/RADIO key, VIDEO or RADIO channel is selected by toggle operation.
If there is not TV or RADIO channel in the selected satellite, this function is not
operated.
⑹ Electron Program Guide (EPG) display
Press EPG key, and then Electronic Program Guide of the current channel is displayed
in EPG menu.

It is available only for the channel in which EPG service data is carried.
⑺ Quick FIND of channel name
Press Find key, quick find menu is displayed. Press BLUE key and then editor menu
for quick find is displayed. Edit a few character or numeric of the channel name, which
you want to find, turn by turn from the first and press OK key. Capital or small
character is selected by Menu key.
⑻ CURRENT CHANNEL INFORMATION
Current channel information is displayed for a few second in each channel. Whenever
you want to display this menu for all the time, press INFO key. And program guide
menu is displayed when the INFO key is pressed twice time. You can go back to
previous menu when the INFO key is pressed third time. Here may be included
following information. Local current time, current channel name and number. Satellite
name, TP information and CAS kind of current channel. Program Guide of current
channel. Symbols for CAS, INFO, Teletext, Alternate A/V and channel lock.
⑼ Capturing for a live picture
Press PAUSE key, and then the live picture on current channel is captured. The
channel with captured live picture returns to live by toggle operation of PAUSE key.

⑽ ZOOM
Press ZOOM key, and then pop-up menu with magnification items are displayed.
Select one of these by pressing Zoom key. Press OK key to display the live which is
zoomed. And then the ZOOM curser is moved to right side of the live. The center
position of the live, which is zoomed, is changed by pressing left/right and up/down
key. When you want to go back to normal live, press EXIT key.
⑾ RECALL
Press RECALL key, and then the pop up menu with list of last 16 channels, on which
we watched, is displayed. You can select by up/down key one of the channels and
watch the channel by OK key.
⑿ Audio Language Selection
Press A.LANG key, and then the pop up menu with audio language items, which is
broadcasted in current channel, is displayed.
You can select one of the items by up/down key and hear the audio language which
you select by OK key.

⒀ Favorite Channel Display
Press FAV key, and then one of 8 favorite channel groups is selected by toggle
operation
and one of the channel in the group is displayed.
You can change the channel to another channel by pressing up/down key.
⒁ Multi-Picture In Graphic
Press M.PIC key, and then items with number of pictures is displayed on pop up
menu.
Select one of the items and press OK key, and then pictures starting from current
channel is displayed.
When you press OK key repeatedly on the picture, the picture is changed to live at first
and is changed normal live at second.
When you want to display channels next the channel, which was captured, by the
multi-picture function, press M.PIC key repeatedly on the captured channel. When you
select the item “12 picture”, the picture, which is in center, is live always.
When you press OK key on a picture, which is not in center, the picture position is
exchanged with the picture in center.
Otherwise, press BACK key.
⒂ Teletext
Press TEXT key, and then teletext by OSD is displayed in Teletext menu.
It is available only for the channel in which Teletext service data is carried.
⒃ Subtitle
Press SUBT key, and then SUBTITLE is displayed automatically on the live. SUBTITLE
by TELETEXT OSD is supported in this function. It is available only for the channel in
which SUBTITLE service data is carried.
⒄ Sleep Time Setting
You can set make the time when power of receiver return to stand by. Press SLEEP

key, and then pop up menu to be select sleep time is displayed. Select one of the
sleep time and press OK key for setting. Otherwise, press BACK key.
9. FUNCTION GUIDE
Many functions, which are used in this receiver, are guided here as follows.
"CHANGING CHANNELS, VOLUME CONTROL and MUTE, FTA/CAS, SAT, TV/SAT,
AUDIO, VIDEO/RADIO, EPG, QUICK FIND, INFORMATION, PAUSE, ZOOM, RECALL,
AUDIO LANG, FAVORITE, MULTI-PICTURE, TELETEXT, SUBTITLE, SLEEP"
⑴ CHANGING CHANNELS
You can change channel with up/down key on remote controller.
Alternately, If you want to display a live picture directly with only a list number belong
to channel, press the numeric key belong to the list number of the channel on live.
⑵ VOLUME CONTROL AND MUTE
Press up/down key, and then volume pop-up is displayed. Level of the volume is
controlled by pressing the volume up/down key.
If you want to change the sound into mute, press mute key. This key is worked as
toggle switch to make mute on/off.
⑶ FTA/CAS

⑹ AUDIO
Press AUDIO key, and then sound menu is displayed. If you want to select one of the
item and press OK key.

⑺ VIDEO/RADIO
Press VIDEO/RADIO key, VIDEO or RADIO channel is selected by toggle operation.
If there is not TV or RADIO channel in the selected satellite, this function is not
operated.

⑻ EPG
Electronic Program Guide (EPG) of the current channel is displayed in this menu.
It is available only for the channel in which EPG service data is carried.
If you want to display EPG, press EPG key on live, and then EPG of the channel is
displayed on EPG menu.
⑼ QUICK FIND
Press FIND key, QUICK FIND menu is displayed.
Press blue key and then editor menu for QUICK FIND is displayed.
Edit a few character or numeric of the channel name, which you want to find, turn by
turn from the first and press OK key.
Capital or small character is selected by Menu key.
⑽ INFORMATION
Current channel information is displayed for a few second in each channel.
Whenever you want to display this menu for all the time, press INFO key.
And Program Guide menu is displayed when the INFO key is pressed twice time.
You can go back to previous menu when the INFO key is pressed third time.
Here may be included following information.
Local current time, current channel name and number. Satellite name, TP information
and CAS kind of current channel.
Program Guide of current channel. Symbols for CAS, INFO, Teletext, Alternate A/V and
channel lock.
⑾ PAUSE
Press PAUSE key, and then the live picture on current channel is captured.
The channel with captured live picture returns to live by toggle operation of PAUSE key.
⑿ ZOOM
If you want to watch a live picture which is zoomed, press ZOOM key on live, and then
pop-up menu for ZOOM are displayed.
there are 3 different magnifications. Select one of these by pressing Zoom key. Press

OK key to display the live which is zoomed.
The ZOOM curser is moved to right side of the live.
The center position of the live, which is zoomed, is changed by pressing left/right and
up/down key.
When you want to go back to normal live, press EXIT key.
⒀ RECALL
Press RECALL key, and then the pop up menu with list of last 16 channels, on which
we watched, is displayed.
You can select by up/down key one of the channels and watch the channel by OK key.
⒁ AUDIO LANGUAGE
Press A.LANG key, and then the pop up menu with audio language items, which is
broadcasted in current channel, is displayed.
You can select one of the items by up/down key and hear the audio language which
you select by OK key.
⒂ FAVORITE
Press FAV key, and then one of 8 favorite channel groups is selected by toggle
operation and one of the channel in the group is displayed.
You can change the channel to another channel by pressing Up/Down key.
⒃ MULTI-PICTURE IN GRAPHIC
Press M.PIC key, and then items with number of pictures is displayed on pop up
menu.
Select one of the items and press OK key, and then the number of pictures starting
from current channel is displayed.
Otherwise, press BACK key.
If you display one of the multi-picture with size live picture, press OK key.
⒄ TELETEXT
TELETEXT by OSD is supported.
It is available only for the channel in which TELETEXT service data is carried.
When you want to display teletext, press TEXT key on live, and then TELETEXT is
displayed.
⒅ SUBTITLE
SUBTITLE by TELETEXT OSD is supported. It is available only for the channel in which
SUBTITLE service data is carried. When you want to display teletext, press SUBT key
on live, and then SUBTITLE is displayed. This function is not working yet
⒆ SLEEP TIME
You can set make the time when power of receiver return to stand by. Press SLEEP
key, and then pop up menu to be select sleep time is displayed. Select one of the
