BATTERY COMPARTMENT DOOR (AT BACK) OPERATING INSTRUCTION BATTERY SUPPLY Open the battery compartment and insert as indicated in the compartment four batteries, type AA (LR6) SWITCH ON THE RADIO 1. Press ON/STANDBY once to enter DAB / FM mode 2. During DAB / FM mode, press ON/STANDBY once to standby mode or press and hold ON/STANDBY to switch off the unit. DAB MODE Auto scan 1. Adjust the antenna extension and angle to have the best reception. 2. Press ON/STANDBY to switch on the unit. 3. The first time the radio is powered and switched on, it will automatically select DAB mode and start a quick scan of the DAB channels to search for available stations. Please leave it to complete this process. 4. Rotate PREVIOUS ( ) or NEXT ( ) to select desired station. Note: You may have to wait for the unit to tune into the new channel. 5. Press SCAN can fully scan the available channels again. Manual Scan 1. Hold MENU/INFO, the display shows MANUAL, then press ENTER. 2. Rotate PREVIOUS ( ) or NEXT ( ) to select desired channel (5A-13F), press ENTER to enter the channel. 3. Select station by using Rotate PREVIOUS ( ) or NEXT ( ) FM RADIO 1. Press POWER to switch on the unit. 2. Press MODE to select FM mode. 3. Select your station by rotate PREVIOUS ( ) or NEXT ( ) 4. Or press SCAN for auto tuning • Press SCAN once to forward search next station • Hold SCAN to backward search previous station 5. Adjust the sound with VOLUME + or VOLUME –. In FM mode, press ENTER to select Audio mode (Mono sound / Auto adjust). DAB / FM radio stations preset: You can store the frequencies of up to 10 radio stations in the memory. A stored frequency can be erased from the memory by storing another frequency in its place. 1. In DAB or FM mode, tune to your desired station. 2. Hold PRESET until the display Preset Empty with flashing 1-10 (1-10 is the preset position number) If the preset number is empty, “Preset Empty” is shown. If the position is saved with station, station frequency is shown. 3. Rotate PREVIOUS ( ) or NEXT ( ) to select the desired memory location. 4. Press ENTER once to confirm and save the selected station. 5. To listen to a preset station: • Press PRESET once, • Rotate PREVIOUS ( ) or NEXT ( ) for selecting your desired station. SETTING THE ALARM 1. In standby mode 2. Press ALARM, to select Alarm 1 / Alarm 2 (ON / OFF is flashing) 3. Rotate PREVIOUS ( ) or NEXT ( ) to change between OFF and ON. Press ENTER to confirm. 4. To set the hours, Rotate PREVIOUS ( ) or NEXT ( ) while the display is still flashing. Press ENTER to minute setting. 5. To set the minutes, Rotate PREVIOUS ( ) or NEXT ( ) while the display is still flashing. Press ENTER to confirm. 6. Alarm Mode: Daily, Once, Weekends (Saturday / Sunday, Weekdays (Monday to Friday), is flashing. Rotate PREVIOUS ( ) or NEXT ( ) to select desired alarm mode and press ENTER to confirm. 7. Alarm Type: Beeper1, FM, DAB, Beeper2 is flashing. Rotate PREVIOUS ( ) or NEXT ( ) to select desired alarm type and press ENTER to confirm. 8. Alarm volume is flashing, rotate PREVIOUS ( ) or NEXT ( ) to select desired alarm volume and press ENTER to confirm to save the setting and exit. SNOOZE FUNCTION 1. When your alarm rings, you can press the ENTER to temporarily suspend the alarm. The alarm will ring again at 6 minutes later. (The Snooze interval time is 6 minutes). 2. Snooze will be repeated until the ALARM / POWER is pressed. Factory Reset In DAB or FM mode, press and hold INFO/MENU, then rotate PREVIOUS ( ) or NEXT ( ) and ENTER to enter “Factory Reset” and see “No” or “Yes”. Rotate PREVIOUS ( ) or NEXT ( ) to “Yes” and press ENTER to confirm, then the unit will be reset to original setting. VOLUME Adjust the volume with the controls VOLUME + or VOLUME You may connect headphones with 3.5mm, plug to socket HEADPHONE. The loudspeaker is then muted. KEY LOCK Press and hold ENTER five seconds to activate key lock function (display shows a lock logo), all keys will be no function.
