Broadband Network Monitoring System
Overview
DS1610 monitoring system offers real-time signal monitoring and
analyzing on multiple return and forward paths of HFC network
simultaneously. The captured results could also be saved and
managed for further operations. The operator is able to monitor the
entire network on live through a PC located at the head end office or
any remote locations.
DS1610 system is capable of capturing any transient noise and ingress
noise which is less than 1ms.Other key features of DS1610 such as
alarm setting, data storage, data analysis, data comparison in 3D
and video record would simplify the installation, maintenance and
troubleshooting of HFC network.

• The return path signal transmits from cable modem finally to CMTS via splitter, reverse amplifier, fiber network and reverse receiver. DS1610
monitoring system with DS1610-1D card could monitor the real-time signal before it enters the CMTS and help capture the injected noises

Net Constructing Instruction
Insert the service board into DS1620 host, and connect to the network
with the unique IP address of the service board. Every service board
could implement real-time monitoring individually, and drive the LCD
directly.
Input the unmonitored signal (with frequency of 100kHz ~ 3000MHz)
into monitor interface, then real-time monitoring is doable to the
signal by DS1620. One IP address is set for each monitor board, and
the parameter of DS1620 could be adjusted at the control panel.
DS1620 system provides various choices of monitor layout templates,
and screen repeating monitoring mode. As the real-time monitoring,
DS1620 system could also save the monitoring spectrum characteristic
data in the server as historical data, which could be checked when it is
needed.

Function Introduction
1. Module management
Every monitor module has its IP address that connects remotely in initial connection according to initial IP address, and then names the module
and sets the parameters according to actual needs, therefore monitors normally.
2. Parameter setting
Set any monitor module remotely, including limit, frequency, amplitude, RBW/VBW, sweep time, detector mode and etc.
For any board, connection could be built as long as the IP address is set. And then board could be controlled through console remotely, name the
board, change parameter setting, and check spectrum in any band.
3. Multi-screen monitoring
DS1620 system provides flexible screen monitoring plan that up to 8x8 channels could be monitored simultaneously. It could be composed
randomly, defined screen display, and set any window as display and fixed display. As the figure shows, 8 fixed windows and 2 displays are set.
4. Spectrum replay & document management
Spectrum abnormality warning and recording are the main functions of the system that it could be checked and replayed through remote data
management. As the figure shows, the setting and image of spectrum data replay are shown.
