High-speed continuous shooting
Continuous shooting mode delivers high speed and sharp images. When your subject is in motion, continuous shooting mode works with the camera's phasedetection AF system to track movement and keep the subject in focus. The moment you press the shutter-release button, the camera captures razor-sharp
images at 15 frames per second (fps). Continuous shooting mode can shoot even faster when your subject is stationary (imagine a golfer's swing). In this
case, you can set the camera to shoot at up to 60 fps!

Sized for perfection
The moment you pick up the Nikon 1 J3 you may not believe that you're holding an advanced camera with interchangeable lenses. With the proportion of
W101 x H60.5 x D28.8, the small camera body is also extremely light weighing just 244 g (with battery and memory card but without body cap). Such a
compact, lightweight design encourages you to carry the Nikon 1 J3 with you anywhere.

Slow view for fast scenes
When faced with a fast-motion scene, it is hard to know exactly when to shoot. Slow view is the solution. When you half-press the shutter-release button, the
Nikon 1 J3 shoots continuously, capturing approximately 20 frames in a few seconds. On the LCD monitor you'll see the action occurring in slow motion. Once
you see an image you like, just fully depress the shutter-release button—the precise moment is yours!

Portability and High Quality
Minimal is so much more.
The small and lightweight camera body
The Nikon 1 utilizes a CX format CMOS image sensor to bring a compact camera housing, high image quality, and high-speed performance to fruition. These advanced
technologies of the Nikon 1 enable it to be extremely compact and lightweight.
14.2 megapixel CMOS image sensor
The Nikon 1 J3's CMOS image sensor achieves 14.2 effective megapixels and a wide range of ISO sensitivity from 160 to 6400 to render higher-resolution images in a
multitude of scenes such as in dimly lit situations. With no optical low-pass filter employed, the sensor delivers higher-definition images. The image sensor also incorporates
an advanced hybrid AF system featuring the ground breaking phase-detection AF and a contrast-detect AF to deliver exceptionally fast and accurate autofocus for various
scenes in both stills and movies.
New image processing engine EXPEED 3A
The Nikon 1 J3 is equipped with a brand new engine that quickly processes data received from the CX format CMOS sensor and realizes high image quality. EXPEED 3A also
lets you take advantage of functions unique to Nikon 1 such as high-speed continuous shooting, Smart Photo Selector, and simultaneous shooting of stills and movies.
Add more color to life
Choose a favorite color that matches your personality. The Nikon 1 J3 body is available in five colors. Plus, the lens that comes in your kit is color matched to the body. The
camera's minimalist design rids the body of clutter, highlighting its elegant shape, texture and color while allowing you to focus on the important work of capturing
memorable pictures.
