a 10W Ka-band transceiver. With the universal antenna

Fly-News Antenna System
The FlyNews™ TF-100 K1 antenna systems
is a compact, ultra lightweight, high
performance antenna made entirely out of
carbon fibre. The quick-install feedhorn
system is available for Ka- and Ku-Band.
The antenna system includes a 4 segment
reflector and a feed-arm equipped with a
10W Ka-band transceiver. The reflector
shows very low sidelobe levels and
a high cross-polarisation rejection. A
3-axis positioner provides full rotation
and is entirely backlash free in elevation,
azimuth axis (circular polarization).
The disassembled parts of the antenna are
transported in 2 specially designed compact
travel cases, which are lightweight and
IATA compliant. These features make the
FlyNews™ TF-100 K1 antenna system an
ideal choice for fast newsgathering (SNG)
or VSAT applications such as Video/Media
Exchange via Satellite, disaster relief,
emergency communication, enterprise
communications,
boarder
control,
corporate networks or military satcom.
The antenna system is controlled by a
smart antenna controller with a very quick
autopointing capability, which can track
satellite orbits, even with high inclination
angles. Its acquisition speed and “one touch”
operation makes it very easy to operate
and ideal for instant, reliable broadcasting
under any condition and in any environment.
The fast and accurate pointing is achieved
through a DVB receiver built inside
the ACU (altenatively satellite beacon
receiver), a GPS-system, an electronic
inclinometer, an electronic compass and
high precission resolvers (Digital 16bit A/D).
The FlyNews™ TF-100 K1 comes with
a 10W Ka-band transceiver which is
modem agnostic. This combination of
high performance antenna system, high
precission antenna control unit and a 10W
high power Ka-band transceiver allows
high-speed two-way performance SatelliteOn-The-Halt(SOTH)with any Ka-band
satellite.
The FlyNews™ TF-100 K1 ideally supports
high-speed Internet access, private network
access with full Ethernet capability, high
quality Voice-over-IP, high-speed video
conferencing, multicast media and content
delivery (SD/HD video live transmission),
remote office connectivity-extending the
corporate network, remote communications
for industry and government .
