The tenderers have to submit sealed envelopes separately for technical bid and financial bid on 06.02.2013 at 11.00 AM.
They must submit all specifications of the equipments along with the company brochures with technical bid, while the
tenderer must submit duly completed and signed financial bid along with a demand draft towards earnest money @ 2% of
the estimated cost for each Software/Hardware separately.

Tenders should be submitted on prescribed tender form to the Dean, College of Technology &
Engineering, Maharana Pratap University of Agricultural and Technology, University Campus,
Udaipur and should reach on or before 06.02.2013 upto 11:00AM. Postal delays are no justification
for the acceptance of the tender.
Tender should be in the name of Dean, College of Technology & Engineering, MPUAT, Udaipur,
in a sealed cover duly super-scribed as “Tender for supply of Equipments to be opened on
06.02.2013”.

Tenders have to be quoted in two parts-Technical as well as financial. Technical bid
for the items being quoted under same category can be placed in a single envelope
but the financial bids must be quoted item wise separately in sealed envelop i.e.
separate envelope for each item of a category. For each category, a separate tender
form be purchased by the tenderer.

Rates quoted in the tender should remain valid for acceptance for a period of 5 months from the
date of opening of tenders.

Earnest Money Deposit shall be 2% of the estimated value of each item (or as mentioned against
each item), in the form of DD/Pay Order drawn in favour of “Dean, College of Technology &
Engineering, MPUAT, Udaipur”. Exemption shall be allowed to SSI Units duly registered, as per
prevailing rules in Govt. of Rajasthan. Tender without earnest money would be rejected.

Equipment to be supplied must have specific warranty period not less than 12 months after
installation.
If the material/equipment supplied is not as per prescribed specifications, then the same shall be
rejected at the cost of the supplier.
The rates should be quoted in the prescribed financial bid form separately for each item in separate
envelop mentioning the name of item on the envelop. The rates should be quoted as all Tax
(Custom duty charges, Excise duty charges, Octroi and VAT etc.) paid, if extra then mention
separately.

The tendered amount should be in Indian Currency i.e. in Rupees only. If equipment is
imported, university may open L.C. in favour of the Principal but all the other formalities
relating to import (clearing, etc) are to be completed by the successful tenderer at his cost.
Tenderer must quote his rate FOR destination (mentioned in supply order) including clearing
charges, transport and handling charges etc.
The tenderer should have Custom Bonded Warehouse facilities against our custom
exemption certificate for destination at FOR.
For the tender for supply of equipment/implements, the tenderer should be either a
manufacturer or an authorized dealer. In case of authorized dealers he should enclose
dealership certificate valid during the period of tender/supply.
The quantity mentioned in the tender for items can be increased or decreased at the discretion of the
University.

The rate quoted should be inclusive of all requisite accessories. The details of accessories
are to be clearly mentioned in tender form by the tenderer. The rates of optional accessories

The tenderer can avail facilities against our Excise/Custom Exemption certificate.
The order will be placed by the Dean, CTAE Udaipur or any other unit officers of the
university & the supply is to be made at FOR Indenter Office or as specified in the supply
order within the area of MPUAT, Udaipur. Payment will be made by indenting officer after
satisfactory supply/installation of the equipment/implement etc.

Any dispute arising out of this contact shall be subject to the courts having jurisdiction at

(I) Annual maintenance contract of the University Intranet

Annual maintenance contract of the University Intranet, which includes the maintenance of the
Linux server, Windows based server, Mail Server, CD Server, Cyberoam UTM, Cisco firewall,
Routers, Switches, Wireless access points, etc., and maintenance of University of network as
detailed below for a period of one year.

Day to day maintenance of Linux server, Windows based server, Mail Server, CD Server,
Cisco firewall, Routers, Switches, Wireless access points, Management of Cyberoam
UTM and other utilities etc.,.
Discharge of the duty of Network Engineer Coordinator (to be deployed in the University
by Service provider) and rectify the complains received from various units/colleges of the
University. The complains should be entertain with in a period of four hours and be

Ensure physical connectivity of the campus network as a whole.
Networking items/components shall be provided by the University as per the requirement
assessed by the University.
5. The requisite number of Network Engineers (at least 16 man hours per day i.e., 2 persons
* 8 hours per day) are to be deployed by the service provider so as to ensure timely
rectification of the complain and smooth functioning of University Intranet.
6. Network Engineers are to deputed in the University from 9.00AM to 6.00 AM (including
one hour for lunch) on all working days of the University. However Engineers may have
to stay beyond office hours and holidays if needed.
7. Configure and ensure connectivity of clients with campus network and internet.
8. Configure mail clients on workstation.
9. Test and identify problems in networking components in whole university network and
coordinate their repair as per the university norms.
10. Ensure Wireless connectivity in University Intranet.
11. The AMC will include maintaining and protecting the security of the Intranet.

Special Terms and Conditions for AMC University Intranet Maintenance
All the condition as laid down in General Conditions specified in the tender form of the University are followed during
AMC of the system. In addition, following special conditions are included.

The service provider must provide satisfactory services during all working days from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (including
one hour for lunch) and on holidays, if required, depending on exigency. The requisite number of Network Engineers (at
least 16 man hours per day i.e., 2 persons * 8 hours per day) are to be deployed by the service provider so as to ensure
timely rectification of the complain and smooth functioning of University Intranet. Additional engineers should be
deployed by the firm, if required, depending on the number of connections not working on that day.
Satisfactory service is essence of the contract. In case the service are not found satisfactory by the University the
contract may be terminated without giving any notice.
The maintenance work is to be carried out under the supervision of Incharge University Intranet. Service provider
should give list of the qualified persons being deployed for this work along with their contact numbers. Further the
deployed person should ask to report to Incharge University Intranet be directed to remain physical present in the
department of Computer Science & Engineering, CTAE, Udaipur.
Annual Maintenance charge will be paid after receipt of the satisfactory performance report from University Intranet
Incharge on monthly basis. A penalty of 3% of the monthly bill amount will be invoked in case of unsatisfactory
performance.
The AMC will be awarded initially for a period of one year and may be further extended for one more year by the
University if services are found satisfactory. The service providers should bound to provide the services for extended
period on the same terms and conditions.
The Service provider should have prior experience about configurations of CISCO layer3 switch 3550, Cisco router
1700, 2811 and CISCO firewall, Mail Server, Wireless access points, IP devices, VoIP Device installation etc.,.
The Service provider and the deployed network coordinator should have at least five year experience in maintaining
such networks (having more than 800 Nodes) for some reputed organization. The proof of the experience should be
provided.
This is purely a service contract and does not include any spares/parts.
If the service is provided out of Udaipur, TA & DA shall be paid extra as applicable in the pay scale of 8000-13500.
Free accommodation shall provided wherever Guest House is available.
The service provider shall not be entitled to make any additional charge for carrying out maintenance services in any
case.
The existing University Intranet layout is available on University website/Department of Computer Science and
Engineering, CTAE, Udaipur.
