ENGLISH
Danger
Exposure to extremely high noise levels may cause a
permanent hearing loss. Individuals vary considerably to
noise induced hearing loss but nearly everyone will lose
some hearing if exposed to sufficiently intense noise for a
sufficient time.
The U.S. Government's Occupational Safety and Health
Administration (OSHA) has specified the following
permissible noise level exposures:
DURATION PER DAY (HOURS) 8 6
SOUND LEVEL (dB)
4 3 2 1
90 93 9% 97 100 103
According to OSHA, any exposure in the above permissible
limits could result in some hearing loss. Ear plugs or
protectors in the ear canal or over the ears must be worn
when operating this amplification system in order to prevent
a permanent hearing loss. If exposure in excess of the limits
as put forth above, to insure against potentially harmful
exposure to high sound pressure levels, it is recommended
that all persons exposed to equipment capable of inducing
high sound pressure levels, such as this amplification
system, be protected by hearing protectors while this unit is
in operation.

TUBE GAIN

© 9 OOOO 00
1.) Passive Bass (0 dB) Input - this is a 1/4-inch, 2-conductor input jack for plugging in your instrument.
lt is intended for bass guitars, but will accept other instruments as well.
2.) Active Bass (-6 dB) Input - this is a 1/4-inch, 2-conductor input jack for instruments with active
electronics or high output.
3.) Tube Gain - adjust this control clockwise to increase the amount of gain. Set this control in its lower
ranges to achieve the cleanest tones. As this control is turned clockwise, you'll begin to hear the grit
and growl of a classic overdriven tube amp. At maximum settings, thicker, more aggressive tones
are produced. Note: Gain is applied to the tube stage before the tone controls.
4.) Bass - this passive control adjusts the low frequency equalization of the amplifier.
5.) Mid - this passive control adjusts the mid-range frequency equalization of the amplifier.
6.) Treble - this passive control adjusts the high frequency equalization of the amplifier.
7.) Low Contour Room EQ - this active control is the final shaping for low frequencies. Increasing
this control cuts a notch in the low frequencies to help smooth out room “boominess.” Decreasing this
control rolls off the extreme low frequencies.
8.) High Contour Room EQ - this active control is the final shaping for the high frequencies. Increas-
ing this control cuts a notch in the high frequencies to help smooth out typical speaker peaks or room
“harshness.” Decreasing this control rolls off the extreme high frequencies. This can be a useful way to
control the horn level.
9.) Master - this controls the overall volume level of the amplifier. Note: Your DE200 features an
exclusive Kustom® circuit called Organic Clipping™. When the Master volume level is turned up to
its higher ranges, this power amp circuit reacts like an all-tube amp, generating lower order, musical
harmonics and natural clipping characteristics like the best all-tube designs. It provides the classic
power amp “growl” that bass players know and love, with a smooth transition from clean to grind.
10.) Jewel Light - when lit, this jewel light lets you know that the amplifier is on.
11.) Power - this switch turns the AC power to the amplifier On and Off.

1.) External Speaker - this is a 2-conductor, 1/4-inch speaker output jack. Rating is 200 watts, 4 Ohms
minimum. For full power, use a 4-Ohm speaker load. Higher impedance loads will result in lower power
levels to the speaker. The signal path to the internal speaker(s) is disconnected when using this jack.
2.) Horn On/Off - this switch activates or disables the amp’s internal horn. Activating the amp’s horn
increases high frequency response.
3.) Power Amp In - this switching, 2-conductor, 1/4-inch line level input jack is the input to the power
amp. By using this jack, the signal path from the preamp to the power amp is broken. Along with the
Preamp Out jack, this can be used as another effects loop.
4.) Preamp Out - this 2-conductor, 1/4-inch line level output jack is the preamp output and it does not
break the signal path between the power amp and the preamp. The front panel Gain and tone
controls do affect the output at this jack. The output at this jack is not speaker emulated, so this may not
be a good choice as a substitute for mic-ing the amp.
5.) Effects Loop Return - this switching, 2-conductor, 1/4-inch line level input jack is the return from
an external signal processor such as a digital delay or EQ. By using this jack, you break the signal path
between the effects Send and Return.
6.) Effects Loop Send - this 2-conductor, 1/4-inch line level output jack is the send to an external
signal processor. It can also be used as a preamp output and it does not break the signal path between
the effects Send and Return. The front panel Gain and tone controls do affect the output of this jack.
7.) Speaker Emulator - when depressed, this switch activates a special signal conditioning circuit
which allows the “post” Balanced Line Out to have the character of a Deep End amplifier as heard by a
bassist standing in front of the amp, capturing the unique tonality of the amplifier/ speaker combination.
8.) Pre/Post EQ - this switch selects whether the Balanced Line Out signal is taken before or after the
EQ circuits.
9.) Balanced Line Out - this XLR jack is used to connect the amplifier to a mixer or other line level
amplifier. The output at this jack is selected by the Pre/Post EQ switch.
10.) Tuner Out - use this jack to connect to a tuner or other instrument level device. This jack is always
active and is a post-Gain, pre EQ output.

1.) AC Power Cord Receptacle - AC power cord can be removed for easy storage and
replacement if damaged. Insert the AC cord (provided) firmly into the AC receptacle.
NOTE: Replace the AC power cord if protective jacket is damaged or ground pin is
damaged or removed.
2.) Fuse - The fuse is located in a fuse tray just below the receptacle. Replace only with
same type and size. For your convenience, a spare fuse is located inside the fuse tray
toward the front. To replace fuse, remove AC power cord. Remove fuse tray by pulling the
tab located above the fuse symbol away from the receptacle.
