The PWS1082GH, 8 Port GbE + 2 SFP Managed POE Switch, is designed as cost effective centralized power
distribution with remote management. It is not only for SOHO but also for department network as it provides a
simple, cost-effective, and highly reliable network connection for data as well as power. The auto-negotiating and
auto MDI-MDI/X ports of PWS1082GH supply 30W maximum per port for driving 8 IEEE 802.3af/at compliant
powered devices via Cat.5 and above twisted cables. By integrating the data transmitting cable and power cord, it
eliminates the effort constructing your network.
With web remote management, the network administrator can logon PWS1082GH to monitor and configure the
switch. It is easy to survey and control the PoE power provision to the devices by the Web interface. Basic
switching functions are such as VLAN, Links aggregation, Loop prevention, Quality of Service, Bandwidth Control,
Storm Control, and monitoring.
By supporting port aggregation, PWS1082GH allows the operation of truck combined with multiple ports and
enables up to 8 groups for trucking with a maximum of 10 Ports for each group. PWS1082GH supports ACL
policies in ACL groups to control traffic by source/destination IP addresses, source/destination MAC addresses, IP
protocols, TCP/UDP, and IP precedence. It also provides IEEE802.1x port based access authentication, which
can deployed with RADIUS, to ensure the port level security and block illegal users.
