6. Communication
emfis DC has RS485 communication (As per applicable in the model). MODBUS
(RTU) is used as communication protocol. Default Baud Rate is 9600bps and default
Device ID is 247. User can change Baud Rate as 4800, 9600, 19200, 28800,
38400bps and Device ID from 1 to 247. MODBUS (RTU) Address mapping given in
separate manual.

shows how to change shunt input current from 0075 to 0085 A.

1. Use 0.25 to 0.5 mm cable for voltage terminal.
2. Use low impedance shielded twisted pair cable of max. length of 3 meter for shunt
output current.
3. A shielded twisted pair cable for RS 485 communication is recommended.

Backlit control of the meter display can be programmed as 0 or 1. At zero (0)
