Nursery Parent Letter
Summer Term - 2nd Half
This half term we are continuing with our topic ‘Whatever
It’s hard to believe we are counting down to the end of the
academic year when the children will be preparing to move
on to their new Reception classes. We will be helping to
prepare the children for this transition and helping them to
air any worries they may have. We know the children will be
excited about the new experiences that lie ahead!
Talent Show
It has become a bit of a tradition for the children in main
school to take part in a talent show at the end of each
academic year, with the children auditioning to take part in
a special assembly. We thought it might be fun to hold our
own version of a ‘Talent Show’ in Nursery. If your child has
a talent they would like to share with us, they can do so on
this day, be it hoola hooping, singing, magic tricks ,dancing
etc We would love to see what they can do and have some
fun together! This will take place during our session and will
be for children only.
Sunny Weather
Please could you ensure that on hot days the children are
sent into Nursery with sun-cream applied and with a sun
hat. We are not able to apply sun cream at Nursery.
Children will also need to have a water bottle available.
Remember to check the blog and the notice
board outside nursery for any important
dates and notices.
Sports Day
Afternoon children are invited to attend
Sports Day on the morning of
Wednesday 24th June. Please drop them
off at Nursery between 8:50 and 9am.
Morning children need to be dropped off
at the normal time of 8:40am. Parents
are then asked to make their way round
to the school playground where bacon
sandwiches and coffee will be for sale.
Children need to come to school in their
PE kits. Please ensure they have plimsolls
or trainers, a t-shirt in their house colour,
with long hair tied back. Children will not
change back so you do not need to
bring their uniform.
Parents can pick up children when Sports
Day has finished from the Nursery in
order to keep track of where they are.
We are still looking for parent helpers to
keep track of scores.
There will be an afternoon session as
