l INSTALLATION
-
Plug one end of coiled cord to the jack of handset and the other end to the jack of the base
-
set
Plug one end of flat cord to line jack of the phone and the other end to the wall jack
-
Insert the headset line cord into headset jack (Optional)
-
Batteries are only needed to backup info e.g. Time, Date and Caller ID memories if the
unit is unplugged from the telephone line.
-
Open the battery compartment cover; install 3 X AA batteries alkaline type
or connect the 9V dc adapter to the DC jack of the unit.
Note: Adapter and batteries are not included with the unit as they are not usually needed.
DESCRIPTION OF DISPLAY
A. 4 line LCD displaying, upper line displays the week, the 2nd line display basic information,
the 3rd line displays the number of in-coming call and bottom line displays the name of caller
l “IN” and “OUT” means the order of incoming call or outgoing call
l “NEW” appears when there are new incoming calls
l
l
“REP” means the repeat of incoming calls
“XX:XX XX/XX” means Hour, Minute, Date/Month respectively
l
means new incoming message
l
means speakerphone in use
B. If a number was received more than once, the LCD will only display the time and date of
the last call when review the incoming calls.
C. If the time and date of incoming call is different from the Telephone Company, the
telephone will adjust the time and date automatically according to Telecom Provider when
receiving calls. (Note: Only under FSK system can adjust the time automatically)
D. If there is no operation or no incoming calls more than 30 seconds, LCD only displays time
and date, total amount of received calls and amount of new incoming calls
E. This telephone can store up to 90. If there is a new after the 90th, the oldest one will be
erased automatically and the new will be stored.

l SETTING
Note: Please be sure the telephone line is connected before starting setting. In normal operation,
press [SET/STORE] button to enter the setting mode including Select Language, Set Area
Code, Long Distance Access, Date/Time Setting, LCD Contrast Adjustment, Baby Call
Function, Ring Melody, Phonebook Input and Phonebook Edit. Press [DEL] to exit setting
manual or it will exit automatically if no any operation after 30 seconds.
1. Select Language
- When ‘SELECT LANGUAGE’ display on LCD, press [SET/STORE] to enter the
setting

Press [ ] or [ ] button to select wanted language among ENGLISH (English),
-
DANMARK (Danish), TURKISH (Turkish), DEUTSCH (German), ITALIANO
(Italian), ESPANOL (Spanish) and FRANCAIS (French)
Press [SET/STORE] to confirm
2. Set Area Code
- When ‘SET AREA CODE’ display on LCD, press [SET/STORE] to enter the setting

Press [ ] or [ ] to select the first digit
-
Press [SET/STORE] to confirm the first digit
-
Use the same method to set the rest of digits
3. Long Distance Access
- When ‘LONG DIST ACCESS’ display on LCD, press [SET/STORE] to enter the
setting

Press [ ] or [ ] to select the first digit
-
Press [SET/STORE] to confirm the first digit
-
Use the same method to set the rest of digits
4. Date/Time Setting
- When ‘DATE/TIME’ display on LCD, press [SET/STORE] to enter the setting

Press [ ] or [ ] to set the year
-
Press [SET/STORE] to confirm
Use the same method to set the hour, minute, date and month sequentially.
5. LCD Contrast Adjustment
- When ‘CONTRAST ADJUST’ display on LCD, press [SET/STORE] to enter the
setting

Press [ ] or [ ] to select the contrast level. There are totally 5 levels to select.

Press [SET/STORE] to confirm
6. Babycall

When ‘BABYCALL’ display on LCD, press [SET/STORE] to enter the setting

Press [ ] or [ ] to select babycall on or off

Press [SET/STORE] to confirm
If you set the babycall to ‘ON’, then input the number for babycall

Press [SET/STORE] again to confirm
7. Ringer Melodies
- When ‘RING MELODY’ display on LCD, press [SET/STORE] to enter the setting

Press [ ] or [ ] to select the desire melody from 1-8.

Press [SET/STORE] to confirm
8. Phonebook Input
- When ‘PHONEBOOK INPUT’ display on LCD, press [SET/STORE] to enter
- Input the number you want to be stored into phonebook
- Press [SET/STORE] to confirm the number
-
Then use the key pad to enter the name (at most 16 letters) and use [DEL] key to
correct (For example: enter “C”, just continuously press [2] key three times )

Press [SET/STORE] again to confirm the name and enter the next name and number
setting.
Press [DEL] to exit the setting
-
9. Phonebook Edit
- When ‘PHONEBOOK EDIT’ display on LCD, press [SET/STORE] to enter
-
“INPUT PREFIX” will display on LCD to indicate the user to enter the name, enter
the letter of the name, the wanted telephone number will display on LCD, or just press
[SET/STORE] and press [ ] or [ ] to review one by one
-
After the wanted record display on LCD, you may edit the name and the number
- After complete the edit, press [DEL] to exit
Note: If no any record in phonebook, the LCD will display ‘NO ITEM IN BOOK’ if you
enter phonebook edit.
RECEIVING CALLER ID INFORMATION
Note: You must make sure your Telephone Company offer caller ID service so that the caller
ID function can be activated.
A. Please note the following indicator:
“UNAVAILABLE”
The call is made through a telephone company, which does not offer Caller ID service or does
not transfer calls by long distance net
“PRIVATE”
Some areas allow the option for callers to prevent the telephone data from being displayed on

others’ telephone. If you received such a call, “PRIVATE” will be shown on LCD
“MSG”
If you apply message service to your telephone company, LCD will display “
of post box when there is a message left. When you read this message, the “

l OPERATION
1. Making A Call
- Lift the handset or press speakerphone button to get the dial tone
- Enter the wanted telephone number
2. Review, Dial Back, Delete Incoming Calls

When the handset is placed on the base unit (on-hook state), press [ ] or [ ] to
review the incoming call records
-
Press and hold [ ] or [ ] key more than 4 seconds for quick review.
-
When the user want to dial back the telephone number which displaying on LCD,
press [REDIAL/CALL BACK] and [SPEAKER] key to dial back the number. And
continuously press [REDIAL/CALL BACK] key two times to dial back the number
with adding long distance digit

When the user want to delete the telephone number which displaying on LCD, press
[DEL] key to delete, press and hold [DEL] key 4 seconds to delete all incoming calls
3. Review, Dial Back, Delete The Outgoing Calls
- Under on-hook state, press [DIALED] key to review the last 16 outgoing calls
-
When the user want to dial back the telephone number which displaying on LCD,
press [REDIAL/CALL BACK] or [SPEAKER] key to dial back the number.
When the user want to delete the telephone number which displaying on LCD, press
[DEL] key to delete, press [DEL] key 4 seconds to delete all outgoing calls
4. Phonebook Search
- After press [BOOK] button, “INPUT PREFIX” will display on LCD to indicate the
user to enter the name,
- Enter the letter of the name, the wanted telephone number will display on LCD, or just
press [SET/STORE] and press [ ] or [ ] to review one by one
- Press [REDIAL/CALL BACK] or [SPEAKER] to dial out the displaying number
Note: Under on-hook state, you can use both [REDIAL] and [SPEAKER] to dial out the
displaying number, but under off-hook state, you can only use [REDIAL] to dial out the
displaying number.
5. Pre-Dialing

Enter the wanted telephone number first
Lift the handset, the entered number will be dialed out automatically
Note: You may use [DEL] key to modify or erase the number during entering the wanted
telephone number

Baby Call Function
- Activate the baby call function as if indicated in the Baby call setting
- Once this function is activated, the phone dials the preset baby call number in speaker
phone mode automatically with any key pressed (except the [SET/STORE] key)
7. To Store 2 One-Touch Dialing Memories
- Under on-hook state, enter the number you want to store
- Press [SET/STORE] button

Press the desire one-touch button (M1/M2)
8. To Store 2 One-Touch Dialing Memories from Incoming Call
- Under on-hook state, when you have an incoming call, just [SET/STORE] button
- Then press the desire one-touch button (M1/M2)
9. To Dial 2 One-Touch Dialing Memories
- Get the dial tone Handset or Speakerphone
- Press M1/M2 (the location which was stored) to dial out the number
10. 911 Emergency Key
Get the dial tone Handset or Speakerphone
Press the red 911 emergency key the unit will now dial 911
11. To Copy Name and Number from Caller ID List to the Phonebook

Scrolling through the caller list using [ ] or [ ]

Press [STORE] when the number you prepare to store is appearing on the display
Press [BOOK] button to store the number
-
Press [STORE] again
Enter name for the stored number
Press store again to finish the process
12. Tone / Pulse Selector
Select the dialing mode that your telephone requires by sliding the [T-P] switch to ‘T’
position for tone dialing and to ‘P’ position for pulse dial.
Note: Under the pulse dial state, press ‘’ to change to tone dial.
13. Ringer Volume Control (HI/LO/OFF)

Slide the [RINGER] switch to ‘HI’ position or ‘LO’ position to turn the ringer on. ‘HI’
for high volume and ‘LO’ for low volume

Slide the [RINGER] switch to ‘OFF’ position to turn the ringer off. You still can dial
out, but cannot hear ringer sound of any incoming calls. (Ringer LED will still flash to
remind you there is incoming call.) Don’t forget to switch the ringer to ‘ON’ (i.e. ‘HI’
or ‘LO’ position), otherwise, you cannot hear the ringer on next time.
14. Speakerphone Volume Control (Max to Min)
- Slide the “SPEAKER” switch from the right side of the base unit to adjust the
speakerphone volume from maximum (Max) to minimum (Min).
15. Receiver Volume Control (HI/LO)
- Slider the “RECEIVER” switch form the left side of the base unit to adjust the
receiver volume. ‘
‘ for high receiver volume and ‘ ‘ for low receiver volume.
16. Flash Function (Call Waiting)
- Under off-hook state, press [FLASH] key once, telephone will enter on-hook state,
then re-connect and give you a new dial tone or for call waiting to move from call to
call.
17. Music On Hold
- During conversation, press [AUTO-RD/HOLD] key once

Put back the handset or press speakerphone button if speakerphone activated
Lift the handset or press speakerphone button to go to talk with the caller
18. Auto Redial
- When the dialed number is busy, after hang up the phone (under on-hook state), press
[AUTO-RD/HOLD] to activate auto-redial function. The phone will repeat to dial
back the last dialed number until to the line get through.

Press [SPEAKER] key or lift the handset for conversation
19. Last Number Redial
- The last number you called can be redialed automatically. This is useful especially of
lines is busy
Get a new dial tone and press [REDIAL/CALL BACK] button
Get a new dial tone by pressing the ‘Hook Switch’ for 2 seconds or press [FLASH].
Then press [REDIAL/CALL BACK]. This phone will remember the last number
dialed even overnight.
20. In Use Indicator
This LED will light if you lift the receiver or open the speakerphone - showing you the phone
is connected properly and will remind you the handset or speakerphone is not closed properly.
20. Conversation Time Indication

During the conversation with another party, the LCD will display the conversation
time, until to stop the conversation, and put back the handset or turn off the
[SPEAKER] button.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
To operate this unit, you must have “CALLER ID SERVICE” setup with your local telephone
company. Some functions such as “CALLER NAME INDICATION” will only operate if such
services are included in the user’s Caller I.D program with the local telephone company.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

This telephone is an electrical device and can be hazardous if immersed in water. If
you accidentally drop it into water, first unplug it from wall jack, and remove it from
water.

Please keep the telephone dry and do not use it in moisture place. For example, near a
bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub and swimming pool. Do not use it in

rain.
Unplug the phone from the wall jack before cleaning with damp cloth; please do not
use liquid or aerosol cleanser.

Do not use the phone to report a gas leak in the gas vicinity. Please remove yourself
immediately from the area and make the emergency phone call in a safe area.

Handle the phone carefully. Do not drop it.
Do not use or put the unit in extreme temperature.
Keep the phone away from dust and dirt.

Use the right power batteries indicated in the manual. Do not put batteries in a fire for
such action can lead to an explosion.

Do not modify or tamper with the telephone’s internal components. Improper
adjustment can cause damage and can be dangerous.
