Insert Custom Numbers and Bullets
 You can insert numbers as you type text, or you can
select text and then apply numbering.
 If you type 1. and then press the spacebar, Word
indents the number approximately 0.25 inch.
 When you type text and then press enter, Word
indents all of the lines in the paragraph 0.5 inch from
the left margin (called a hanging indent) and inserts
the number 2 followed by a period 0.25 inch from the
left margin at the beginning of the next paragraph.
 Continue typing items and Word adds successive
numbers onto the list.

paragraphs:
1. Select numbered
paragraphs.
2. Click Numbering button
arrow.
3. Click desired option at
drop-down gallery.

1. Select numbered
paragraphs.
2. Click Numbering button

3. Point to Change List

To set the numbering value:
1. Select numbered paragraphs.
2. Click Numbering button arrow.
3. Click Set Numbering Value
option at drop-down menu.
4. At Set Numbering Value dialog
box, select desired number in
Set value to measurement box.
5. Press Enter.

To turn off the list creation:
1. Click Numbering button
arrow.
2. Click None option at
drop-down gallery.

To define numbering
formatting:
1. Click Numbering button
arrow.
2. Click Define New Number
Format option at dropdown gallery.
3. At Define New Number
Format dialog box, specify
desired format.

1. Click Bullets button

1. Click Multilevel List

To define a multilevel list:
1. Click Multilevel List button.
2. Click Define New Multilevel
List option at drop-down
gallery.
3. At Define new Multilevel
list dialog box, specify
desired level, number
format, and/or position.

To display the Layout
dialog box:
1. Select image.
2. Click Size group dialog

 Use options at the Layout dialog box with the Text
Wrapping tab selected to specify the wrapping style
for the image.
 Click the Size tab at the Layout dialog box to display
options for specifying the height and width of the
image relative to the margin, page, top margin,
bottom margin, inside margin, or outside margin.

1. Select image.

1. Click INSERT tab.

and/or Footer from Bottom measurement box(es).

Print Sections
 Print specific pages in a document by inserting page
numbers in the Pages text box at the Print backstage
area.
 If a document contains sections, use the Pages text
box at the Print backstage area to specify the section
and pages within the section that you want to print.
 For example, if a document is divided into three
sections and you want to print only section two, you
would type s2 in the Pages text box. If a document
contains six sections and you want to print sections
three through five, you would type s3-s5 in the Pages
text box.

within sections:
1. Click FILE tab.
2. Click Print option.
3. At Print backstage area,
click in Pages text box.

Keep Text Together
 In a multiple-page document, Word automatically
inserts a soft page break, which is a page break that
adjusts when you add or delete text from the
document.
 A soft page break may occur in an undesirable
location.
 A soft page break may also create a widow or orphan.

To insert a chart:
