This guide will give you instructions on how to remove the front panel of one of the Panasonic KXTGE233 handsets. The front panel houses the plastic covering the LCD display and the buttons. It
also must be removed to access all other components.

INTRODUCTION
The front panel is a single piece of plastic covering the motherboard, the earpiece speaker, the
buttons, and the LCD display. It's the piece that holds the phone together. If you need to replace any
of the components inside of this device, or you just want to replace the front panel itself, you'll need
to start with this guide.
TOOLS:
Phillips #00 Screwdriver (1)
Heavy-Duty Spudger (1)

Step 1 — Battery

Flip the handset over to expose the back panel, and slide the panel out to remove.

Carefully remove the two batteries
by lifting up from one end.

Step 3 — Handset Front Panel Assembly

Remove the two screws behind the
battery panel by using a Philips size
#00 screwdriver.

Using a spudger, open the device by
starting from the bottom and working
your way to the top.

 This will require some force, so be
careful not to break any of the wires
inside of the device.

Once the back has been separated
from the rest of the device, carefully
place it to the side. Be careful not to
completely remove it, however, as
there are wires connecting the back
to the handset.

Using the same screwdriver as
before, remove the Philips size #00
screw holding the motherboard in
place.

Step 7

With the screw removed, the front
panel assembly can be separated
from the rest of the device.
To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
