The HP30 Slab Saw can cut a variety of materials, including lapidary rock, natural and artificial glass, and gemstone minerals. However, it is not designed to cut wood, ice, synthetics, graphite carbon, plastics, or ferrous metal materials.

The HP30 Slab Saw requires a petroleum or mineral oil based lubricant. Never use water, automotive antifreeze, transmission fluid, or CNC machining fluids. Refer to the manual for a list of recommended cutting oils.

The automatic shut-off control switch is located on the front of the saw. Once a rock specimen has been securely vised inside of the saw, the operator can adjust the automatic shut-off control switch by moving the link chain to the desired position where the rock and vise are anticipated to complete the desired cut.
