Slots and openings in the cabinet are provided
for ventilation and to ensure reliable operation of
the product and to protect it from over heating.
The openings shall be never be blocked by placing
the product on a bed, sofa, rug or other similar
surface. This product should not be placed in a builtin installation such as a bookcase or rack unless
proper ventilation is provided or the manufacturer’s
instruction has been adhered to.

Getting Started
CAUTION concerning the Power Cord
Most appliances recommend they be placed upon a
dedicated circuit;
The Power Plug is the disconnecting device. In case
of an emergency, the Power Plug must remain readily
accessible.
This device is equipped with a portable battery or
accumulator.
Safety way to remove the battery or the battery
from the equipment: Remove the old battery or
battery pack, follow the steps in reverse order than
the assembly. To prevent contamination of the
environment and bring on possible threat to human
and animal health, the old battery or the battery
put it in the appropriate container at designated
collection points. Do not dispose of batteries or
battery together with other waste. It is recommended
that you use local, free reimbursement systems
batteries and accumulators. The battery shall not be
exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or
the like.
CAUTION: No naked flame sources, such as lighted
candles, should be placed on the apparatus.

Getting Started
That is, a single outlet circuit which powers only
that appliance and has no additional outlets or
branch circuits. Check the specification page of this
owner’s manual to be certain. Do not overload wall
outlets. Overloaded wall outlets, loose or damaged
wall outlets, extension cords, frayed power cords, or
damaged or cracked wire insulation are dangerous.
Any of these conditions could result in electric
shock or fire. Periodically examine the cord of your
appliance, and if its appearance indicates damage
or deterioration, unplug it, discontinue use of the
appliance, and have the cord replaced with an exact
replacement part by an authorized service center.
Protect the power cord from physical or mechanical
abuse, such as being twisted, kinked, pinched, closed
in a door, or walked upon. Pay particular attention to
plugs, wall outlets, and the point where the cord exits
the appliance.

The unit has wheels and a handle so you can easily
move the unit.

yy Do not roll the unit on an unpaved road or the
stairs.
yy When carrying the unit, be careful not to drop
it.

yy Disconnect all connected cables before
carrying the unit.
yy Do not step or sit on the unit. Otherwise this
unit may fall down and cause personal injury.
yy Do not place the unit on anything unstable.
Place the unit at a safe distance from a child’s
reach.
yy Be careful so that the unit does not fall
down. Otherwise it may result in malfunction
or cause personal injury and/or property
damage.

Use of Tripod
3. Tighten up the Hand screw on the bottom of the
unit.
You can mount the unit on a tripod.
The tripod is an optional purchase.
>>Caution
yy Extend the tripod legs as much as possible
and tighten up the screw securely.
yy Before connecting with the unit, you must set
up the tripod completely to prevent shaking.

1. Unfold the tripod on a flat surface. And then fix
the tripod.
Tighten up the tightening part of the tripod.
2. Lift the speaker and connect the tripod to fixing
part on the bottom of the speaker.
>>Caution
Tighten up the Hand screw on the bottom of the
unit while the other is holding the speaker and
tripod.
>>Caution
You should work together with two or more
people when connecting the speaker and the
tripod.

yy Before buying a tripod, check the
specifications for maximum bearing load of

while its on a tripod. Otherwise it may result
in an accident and may cause personal injury

yy Standing on the stool to reach unit’s control
panel is risky and might lead to injuries.

yy You should pull the center column to the
maximum only in case of need.
yy Mount only one unit on each tripod.
yy Do not try to extent the tripod legs beyond

yy Make sure the tripod is correctly assembled
and all its components are tightly
connected.
yy Do not try to assemble the tripod if parts
are missing or defective.
yy After installation, make sure the unit is set
up firmly on the tripod.
yy Do not place the unit on anything unstable
where it might accidentally fall over.
yy Add weight such as sand bags around the
tripod legs to prevent the tripod from falling
over.
yy Remove all connected cables to the unit
on the tripod before moving the tripod or
adjusting its height.
yy When transporting or moving the unit,
always use two or more people.
yy When you use the tripod, use an extension
cord. Always be careful with the movement
of the cable.
yy It is prohibited to use this unit outside.

yy Do not expose the unit to excessive dust,
vibrations, extreme cold or heat (such as in
direct sunlight or near a heater) to prevent
the possible disfigurement of the panel or
damage to the internal components.
yy When using the external input cable (Mic,
etc.) after installing the unit on the tripod,
external input cable can cause the unit to
fall down.
yy Watch out because people can trip over the
input cable (Mic, etc.) connected the unit.
yy Always be careful not to trip over the unit.

1. Connect one end of the AC power cord (included)
to the AC IN socket.

connect it to the left (white) audio jack on the unit.

PARTY LINK
PORT. IN Connection
You can connect two units to play music together.
Connect an output (earphone or line out) of portable
device (MP3 or PMP etc) to the PORT. IN (3.5 mm)
connector.
The name of the function about sound expansion
between the compatible products, (wired or wireless)
was changed to PARTY LINK or WIRELESS PARTY
LINK.

1. Connect AUX OUT connector on a unit to the
AUX IN connector on the other unit using Audio
cable.

2. Press and hold USER EQ/PARTY LINK on the
unit for 3 seconds connected through AUX OUT
and then select LINK ON.
“LINK ON” appears in the display window and it
will change to “DELAY time” shortly.
3. Rotate MIC VOLUME/LEVEL CONTROL on the
unit to adjust Delay setting.
Portable cable
When “LINK ON” and “DELAY time” are displayed
in the display window, you can adjust the delay
time.
4.Press USER EQ/PARTY LINK on the unit to save
the Delay setting.
,,Note
yy This function is available in all functions.
(Except LG TV function)
yy The initial Delay is 30 ms. If you want to
change the Delay time, rotate MIC VOLUME/
LEVEL CONTROL on the unit.
The connected device’s Delay may differ. If
Audio Sync is not matched, adjust Delay of
PARTY LINK to synchronize sound.
yy The Delay can be adjusted from 0 ms to 200
ms. Synchronizing tempo is not available
depending on the devices.
yy Delay value is saved and PARTY LINK is
turned off when the unit turns off.
yy You can select LINK ON/LINK OFF mode by
pressing and holding USER EQ/PARTY LINK
on the unit for 3 seconds.
yy In case of the microphone, delay setting is not
applied.

Connect a USB device (or MP3 player, etc.) to the
USB ports on the unit.
The unit can be used to play the music from many
types of portable player or external device.
1. Connect the portable player to the PORT. IN
connector of the unit.

3.Press F on the unit to select AUX or PORTABLE

equalizes volume across files for uninterrupted
playback.

About Bluetooth
Bluetooth is wireless communication technology for
short range connection.
The sound may be interrupted when the connection
has interference from other electronic waves or you
connect the Bluetooth in another room.
Connecting individual devices under Bluetooth
wireless technology does not incur any charges. A
mobile phone with Bluetooth wireless technology
can be operated via the Cascade if the connection
was made via Bluetooth wireless technology.

etc.

Bluetooth Profiles
In order to use Bluetooth wireless technology,
devices must be able to interpret certain profiles.
This unit is compatible with following profile.

Listening to music stored on the
Bluetooth devices
Pairing your unit and Bluetooth device
Before you start the pairing procedure, make sure the
Bluetooth feature is activated on your Bluetooth
device. Refer to your Bluetooth device’s user guide.
Once a pairing operation is performed, it does not
need to be performed again.
1. Turn on the unit.

When Bluetooth connection lock is activated,
you can search Bluetooth device in BT function.

2. Operate the Bluetooth device and perform the
pairing operation. When searching for this unit
with the Bluetooth device, a list of the devices
found may appear in the Bluetooth device display
depending on the type of Bluetooth device. Your
unit appears as “LG FJ7 (XX)”.

3. When this unit is successfully connected with
your Bluetooth device, “PAIRED” appears on
the display window and then changes to the
Bluetooth device’s name. Then “BT” will appear on
the display window.

yy "PAIRED" will momentarily appear on the
display when you connect other devices for
multi pairing.
yy If the device name is unavailable, “_” will be
displayed.
4. Listen to music.
To play music stored on your Bluetooth device,
refer to your Bluetooth device’s user guide.

yy When using Bluetooth technology, you have
to make a connection between the unit and
the Bluetooth device as close as possible and
keep the distance.
However, it may not work well in certain
situations as described below :
yy Sees Bluetooth device name of the unit every
10 seconds in BT READY.
-- There is a obstacle between the unit and
the Bluetooth device.
yy XX means the last two digits of
Bluetooth address. For example, if your
unit has a Bluetooth address such as
9C:02:98:4A:F7:08, you will see “LG FJ7 (08)”
on your Bluetooth device.
-- There is an device using same frequency
with Bluetooth technology such as a
medical equipment, a microwave or a
wireless LAN device.
yy Depending on the Bluetooth device type,
some devices may have a different pairing
process. Enter the PIN code (0000) as
needed.
yy You can connect this unit with up to 3
Bluetooth devices simultaneously using the
same method as described above, only in the
Bluetooth function.
yy The multi pairing connection is only supported
on Android devices. (Multi pairing connection
may not be supported depending on the
connected device specifications.)
yy Removable/detachable Bluetooth devices
(Ex: Dongle etc.) will not support multi pairing.
yy You should connect your Bluetooth device to
this unit again when you restart it.
yy Even if this unit is connected with up to 3
Bluetooth devices in the Bluetooth mode, you
can play and control music only by using one
of the connected devices.

Controls connected Bluetooth device
You can control connected Bluetooth device by the
unit; play, pause, skip.

yy Only Android OS and iOS is available to use
this function.
yy This function may not be supported
depending on the Bluetooth device, or may
operate differently.

yy The sound may be interrupted when the
connection has interference from other
electronic devices.
yy Depending on the type of the device, you may
not be able to use the Bluetooth function.
yy You can enjoy wireless system using phone,
MP3, Notebook, etc.
yy The more distance between the unit and the
Bluetooth device, the lower the sound quality
becomes.
yy Bluetooth connection will be disconnected
when the unit is turned off or the Bluetooth
device gets too far from the unit.
You can limit Bluetooth connection to only
BT (Bluetooth) and LG TV function to prevent
unintended Bluetooth connections.
yy When Bluetooth connection is disconnected,
connect the Bluetooth device to the unit
again.
To turn on this function, press and hold T on the
unit for about 5 seconds in BT (Bluetooth) function.
“BT LOCK” appears then you can limit Bluetooth
connections.
yy When a Bluetooth device is not connected,
“BT READY” appears on the display window.
To turn off this function, press and hold T on the
unit for about 5 seconds in BT (Bluetooth) function.
“BT UNLOCK” appears.
yy When you use the Bluetooth function,
adjust the volume to a proper level on the
Bluetooth device.
yy If a Bluetooth device is connected when
using LG TV, LG TV is disconnected and the
Bluetooth device is connected.
yy When you connect Bluetooth device (iOS
device etc.) to this unit or operate the device,
the volume level can be synchronized with
each other.
yy Bluetooth connection will be disconnected
when you change to another function. In
“Music Flow Bluetooth” app connection,
only one device which you are playing keeps
Bluetooth connection. You can control the
Bluetooth device with this unit but you
cannot use sound output.
yy When entering the Bluetooth function,
this unit automatically connects to the last
connected Bluetooth device.
(Auto connection may not be supported
depending on the connected device’s
specifications.)

There are two ways to install “Music Flow Bluetooth”
app onto your Bluetooth device.
yy Only Android OS is available to use “Music
Flow Bluetooth” app with this unit.
Install “Music Flow Bluetooth” App
through QR code
yy It is recommended to use the latest version
of app.
1. Install “Music Flow Bluetooth” app through QR
code. Use the scanning software to scan the QR
code.
About “Music Flow Bluetooth”
App
Operating
“Music Flow Bluetooth” app brings a suite of new
features to this unit.
To enjoy more features, it is recommended that you
download and install the free “Music Flow Bluetooth”
app.
Below introduces you to one of the many features of
the “Music Flow Bluetooth” app.
Multi Juke box : Your entertainment increases three
fold when you connect up to 3 Bluetooth phones at
the same time. Play music from all three phone and
create a customized playlist from all the phones.
2. Tap an icon for installation.

yy Make sure that your Bluetooth device is
connected to the Internet.
yy Make sure that your Bluetooth device
has a scanning software application. If you
don’t have one, download one from “Google
Android Market (Google Play Store)”.
yy Depending on the area, QR code may not
work.

1. Tap the “Google Android Market (Google Play
Store)” icon.
Activate Bluetooth with “Music
Flow Bluetooth” App
“Music Flow Bluetooth” app helps to connect your
Bluetooth device to this unit.
2. In the search bar, type in the “Music Flow
Bluetooth” and search it.
1. Tap “Music Flow Bluetooth” app icon on the home

Auto power down
When you connect your microphone to the MIC jack,
you can enjoy karaoke function by changing voice in
the various source.
This unit will turn itself off to save electricity in the
case were the main unit is not connected to an
external device and is not used for 15 minutes.
The unit will also turn itself off after six hours if the
main unit has been connected to another device
using the analog inputs.
To select various mode, press VOCAL EFFECTS on
the unit repeatedly or press VOCAL EFFECTS then
press Y/U on the unit when vocal effects mode
appears in the display window.

You can control some functions of this unit by
your TV’s remote control with LG Sound Sync. It is
compatible with LG TV that supports LG Sound Sync.

Refer to the TV’s instruction manual for the details of
LG Sound Sync.

was changed to PARTY LINK or WIRELESS PARTY

function, “NOT SUPPORT” appears in the
display window.
yy You can use microphone in the SLAVE unit
only. In case of SLAVE unit, some functions
are supported only.
yy When WIRELESS PARTY LINK is
disconnected, SLAVE unit is changed to BT
function.
yy If the connection has failed, “FAILED” appears
in the display window.
yy WIRELESS PARTY LINK connection will be
disconnected when you turn off the unit or
