The remote controller is displayed like a picture. Then ' Program set ', ' The "Program Set" will appear on LCD display. Week For example, if you want Thu, press 3 button 4 times. Change the time setting until the desired time is obtained. For this operation press the Set or Clear button one or more times. Set button means to switch ON. Clear button means to switch OFF. To move forward press "Min" key. To move backward press "Hour" key. So for the rest hours, the machine will be OFF. 4 Press the Program button again to finish weekly programmining. Program For example, the air-conditioner is on 6th,7th,8th,10th & 11th hours to remain ON and for the rest hours, turned OFF on Monday. Following steps should be followed : 1. Press Program button 2. Press Week button and select the day (Monday). 3. By pressing Min key, select 6th hour. Solid bar will blink on 6th hour. By pressing "Set" button you can set the 6th hour. Do same for the 7th, 8th, 10th and 11th hour. 4. Press Program button finally to set the above day. * To cancel the set hour press Hour button to reach upto that set hour and then press "Clear" button. * Black Bars indicate turn ON time and if there is no bar, it indicates OFF time. 11 Weekly Programming If the person has not to set the remote controller in weekly programming mode then he can cancel the weekly programming by following operations. 1 To disable the weekly programming, press the following button. Program Timer Clear If the person has to return back in weekly programming mode then he should follow the below mentioned operation. 2 To enable the weekly programming, press the following button. Program Timer Set 12 Holiday Setting If Tuesday is a holiday in this week, you may set a holiday. Press the Program button. 2 Press the Week button. Select the Tuesday. 3 Press the Holiday button. Hour Min RESET Temperature can be set between 18°C ~ 30°C. Fan Mode In this mode only FAN runs at high speed and compressors get OFF automatically. In FAN mode Display shows - only Fan Speed & Fan Mode Symbol. 1 Press the On/Off Button. 2 Press Mode Selection Button to enter in Fan Mode ( In this mode Display will be as shown here. ). Then the operation mode shift to child lock mode and it is displayed ‘CL’ in the operation display. When you press any button in this time, the remote controller displays ‘CL’ only ON/OFF key available. 2 To cancel the Child-Lock Function Press the Filter button then Clear button. Then the child-lock mode is cancelled and the preselected mode is displayed in the remote controller. The air filters behind Indoor unit (the suction side) should be checked and cleaned once every 2 weeks or more often if necessary. 2 After washing with water, dry well in the shade. 3 Re-install the air filter. If clogged with dirt or soot, the heat exchanger and panel vents may be professionally steam cleaned. A Note: Dirty or clogged coils will reduce the operating efficiency of the system and cause higher operating costs. When the air conditioner is to be used again. When it is not going to be used for a long time. 1 Operate the air conditioner on Air circulation mode for 2 to 3 hours. Check that the air inlet and outlet of the indoor/outdoor unit are not blocked. • This will dry out the internal parts. 2 Turn off the circuit breaker. Helpful information CAUTION CAUTION The air filters and your electiric bill. If the air filters become clogged with dust, the cooling capacity will drop, and 6% of the electricity used to operate the air conditioner will be wasted. Turn off the circuit breaker when the air conditioner is not going to be used for a long time. Dirt may collect and may cause a fire. Operation Tips Do not overcool the room. This is not good for the health and wastes electricity. Clean the air filter regularly. Blockages in the air filter reduce the airflow and lower cooling and dehumidifying effects. Clean at least once every two weeks. Keep blinds or curtains closed. Make sure that the doors and windows are shut tight. Do not let direct sunshine enter the room when the air conditioner is in operation. Avoid opening doors and windows as much as possible to keep the cool air in the room. Ventilate the room occasionally. Since windows are kept closed, it is a good idea to open them and ventilate the room now and then. 20 Troubleshooting Tips Before you call for service... Check the following points before requesting repairs or service.... If the malfunction persist, please contact your dealer. Case Explanation See page The air conditioner does not operate. • Have you made a mistake in timer operation? • On first starting, the indoor unit operates in fifteen seconds. • Has the fuse blown or has the circuit breaker been tripped? • Check that this is not a damp smell exuded by the walls, carpet, furniture or cloth items in the room. • Condensation occurs when the airflow from the air conditioner cools the warm room air. • This is the protector of the mechanism. • Wait about three minutes and operation will begin. • Is the air filter dirty? See air filter cleaning instructions. • The room may have been very hot when the room air conditioner was first turned on. Allow time for it to cool down. • Has the setting temperature been set incorrectly? • Are the indoor unit's air inlet or outlet vents obstructed? • For a noise that sounds like water flowing. -This is the sound of freon flowing inside the air conditioner unit. • For a noise that sounds like the compressed air releasing into atmosphere. -This is the sound of the dehumidifying water being processed inside the air conditioning unit. • This sound is generated by the expansion/contraction of the inlet grille, etc. due to changes of temperature. • Has the circuit breaker been tripped? 8 The room has a peculiar odor. It seems that condensate is leaking from the air Conditioner. Air conditioner does not operate for about 3 minutes when restart. Does not cool effectively. The air conditioner operation is noisy. Crack sound is heard. Remote control display is faint, or no display at all. - 11 9 - - - NOTE WATER RESISTANT The outdoor side of this appliance is WATER RESISTANT.
