Follow the instructions in the "Hardware Installation" section of the manual. Make sure the drive is set to "Slave" mode if you are using a primary IDE controller. If you are using a secondary IDE controller, set the drive to "Master" or "Slave" mode depending on the device configurations.

The drive requires an IBM PC or compatible system with a 486SX processor or higher, at least 640K of memory, a 3.5-inch floppy disk drive, and MS-DOS version 3.1 or later. You will also need an IDE controller card and an available connector on the IDE interface cable.

Insert a paper clip into the Emergency Eject Hole. This will manually eject the tray.

The Master/Slave jumper allows you to configure the drive as either a Master or Slave device on your IDE channel. Refer to the "Hardware Installation" section for detailed instructions.

Windows 95 usually detects the new CD-ROM drive and loads the driver software automatically. If not, follow the instructions in the "ATAPI Installation (Windows 98/95 and others)" section to manually install the driver.

This can cause a malfunction or condensation to form inside the drive.
