You can view, modify or delete a show that you've reserved.
Using the Timer Viewing
You can set the TV to display a desired channel automatically on a day and at a
time of your choice.
◀
You must set the current time first using the Time → Clock function in the System
menu to use this function.
1. Press the ENTERE button to select Schedule Manager.
2. Press the ENTERE button to add manual booking.
3. Press the l / r / u / d buttons to set Antenna, Channel, Repeat, and Start
Time.
●● Antenna: Select an antenna to watch.
●● Channel: Configure a channel to watch.

●● Repeat: Select Once, Manual, Sat~Sun, Mon~Fri or EveryDay. If you
select Manual, you can set the day you want.
NN The c mark indicates a day you selected.
●● Date: You can set a desired date. NN Date is available only when you select Once in Repeat.

NN To modify or cancel the reserved channel information, select a reserved

In the Channel List, you can reserve viewing a program by using Program View.
1. Press the 채널목록 button.
2 Select the channel to reserve a program viewing for and press { (Program View).
3 Press the u or d buttons to select the desired program, and then press the INFO
button.
4. Select Timer Viewing.

Channel Manager Option Menu

Manage channels using the Channel Manager menu options (Watch, Add to
Favorites / Edit Favorites, Lock/Unlock Channel Name Edit, Add / Delete, Deselect
All, Select All). The Option menu items that appear may differ depending on the
channel status and type.
1. Use the arrow buttons to select a channel, and then press the ENTERE button.
A check appears next to the channel.
NN You can select more than one channel by highlighting each channel with the

cursor, and then pressing ENTERE.
NN Pressing ENTERE again deselect the channel.
2. Press the 간편메뉴 button on your remote.
3. Select an option, and then press ENTERE to activate the option or change its
settings.
NN Exceptions: Select All. See the end of the Channel Manager section for
information.
●● Watch: Watch the channel you selected. To use, select Watch on the Option
menu, and then press ENTERE.

you selected is not already a favorite. Edit Favorites appears if the channel

NN To register multiple channels to the Favorites, refer to the “Setting

cannot watch inappropriate programs.

Picture modes apply preset adjustments to the picture. Select a mode using the

This feature allows you to see optimal screen quality according to your viewing
position. When viewing the screen at an angle from below, above or the side of
the TV, by setting the appropriate mode for each position you can obtain a similar
picture quality as viewing the screen directly from the front.

●● Samsung MagicAngle (Off / Lean Back Mode / Standing Mode): Select the
viewing from the front, a slightly or the upper position.
●● Mode(1-10): You can set suitable picture quality as needed.

■■ Backlight / Contrast / Brightness / Sharpness / Color / Tint (G/R)
Your television has several options for adjusting picture quality. Select an option
using the up and down arrow keys, and then press ENTERE. Use the arrow
keys to adjust the option value or select an option setting. When done, press
ENTERE.
NN When you make changes to Backlight, Contrast, Brightness, Sharpness,
Color or Tint (G/R), the OSD will be adjusted accordingly.

NN In PC mode, you can only make changes to Backlight, Contrast, Brightness,
and Sharpness.
NN You can adjust and store settings for each external device connected to the TV.
NN Lowering picture brightness reduces power consumption.

❑❑ Changing the Picture Size

●● Picture Size: You can choose a picture size according to the content.
NN You can select a picture size using the 화면크기 button. Wheneveryou press
the button, the Picture Size is changed.

16:9: The 16:9 aspect ratio for DVD or wide-broadcasts.
Zoom1: This is the aspect ratio that stretches the 16:9 ratio vertically.
Zoom2: This is the aspect ratio that vertically stretches the Zoom1 setting.
Wide Fit: This is the aspect ratio that automatically fits the 4:3 aspect ratio
picture to the screen when you are watching a digital broadcast.
NN Available with HD 1080i / 720p signals in 16:9 mode.

4:3: This is the 4:3 aspect ratio for a video or normal broadcast. If you select
the 4:3 setting, the black spaces on the left and right may differ.
NN If you watch a still picture or video in the 4:3 aspect ratio for a long period of
time, a persistent image may remain on the screen. Since this problem is not
covered by the warranty, watching content in full screen is recommended.
Screen Fit: This is the picture size that shows the original picture without
cutting any part of the picture when you watch HDMI, component or DTV input.

NN With some products, lines may appear around the edges.
NN This works in HDMI (720p, 1080i, 1080p), Component (1080i, 1080p) and
DTV (1080i).

●● Position: Adjusts the picture position. Position is only available if Picture size is

NN To use the Position function after selecting Zoom1, Zoom2 or Wide Fit, follow
these steps:
1. Press the d button to select Position.

3. Press the u or d button to move the picture up or down.

NN If you want to reset the pictures to its original position, select Reset in the
Position screen, and then press ENTERE. The picture will be reset to its

R-Offset / G-Offset / B-Offset: You can adjust the offsets of the Red, Green
and Blue colors of the dark parts of a picture.
R-Gain / G-Gain / B-Gain: You can adjust the gains of the Red, Green and
Blue colors of the bright parts of a picture.
Reset: Resets the White Balance to it’s default settings.

●● Flesh Tone: You can adjust the flesh tone to be more or less red.
●● Edge Enhancement (Off / On): You can sharpen the edge detail.
●● Motion Lighting (Off / On): Reduces the power consumption by controlling the
brightness according to the amount of movement in the picture.
NN If Contrast, Brightness or Sharpness is changed, the Motion Lighting

●● HDMI Black Level (Normal / Low): When you watch TV by connecting an
external device such as a DVD player or set-top box, the visual quality may
deteriorate (black level, lower contrast, dimmed color, etc.) depending on the
connected external device. At this time, adjust the HDMI Black Level to control
the visual quality.
NN You can only adjust the HDMI Black Level when the external input is HDMI
and the input signal is RGB.
●● Film Mode (Off / Auto1 / Auto2): This mode is appropriate for viewing movies.
◀
If you set the Film Mode to Auto, the visual quality is automatically set to the
optimal setting for movies.
Auto1: Automatically runs the Film Mode function depending on the input video.
Auto2: Provides the visual quality optimized for viewing captions.
NN This function only works in TV, AV, Component (480i/1080i) and
HDMI(480i/1080i).

Set the input source to PC.

Automatically adjusts the picture’s frequency, position, and fine tune settings in the
PC mode.

by Fine-tuning alone, use the Coarse function to adjust the frequency as best
as possible (Coarse) and Fine-tune again. After the noise has been reduced,
re-adjust the picture so that it is aligned to the center of screen.
●● Position: To adjust the PC’s screen position if it is not centered or does not fit
the TV screen. Press the u or d button to adjust the Vertical Position. Press
the l or r button to adjust the Horizontal Position.
●● Image Reset: Resets the image to the default settings.

Using Your TV as a Computer (PC) Display
Entering the Video Settings (Based on Windows XP)
For your TV to work properly as a computer display, you must enter the correct video
settings into your PC.
NN Depending on your version of Windows and your video card, the procedure on
your PC will probably differ slightly from the procedure presented here. However,
the same basic information will apply in most cases. (If not, contact your computer
manufacturer or Samsung Dealer.)
◀ 1. On your PC, click “Control Panel” on the Windows start menu.
2. Click “Appearance and Themes” in the “Control Panel” window, A display dialogbox appears.
3. Click “Display”. Another display dialog box appears.
4. Click the “Settings” tab on the display dialog-box.
●● On the Settings tab, set the correct resolution.
●● If a vertical-frequency option exists on your display settings dialog box, select
“60” or “60 Hz”. Otherwise, just click “OK” and exit the dialog box.

Adjusts the sound output.
Balance L/R: Adjusts the balance between the right and left speaker.

100Hz / 300Hz / 1kHz / 3kHz / 10kHz (Bandwidth Adjustment): Adjusts the
volume level of specific bandwidth frequencies.
Reset: Resets the equalizer to its default settings.

(Analog Broadcast)
If Auto Stereo is set to Auto, the audio is automatically switched to stereo or
mono according to the broadcast signal of the channel even if you change the
channel.
Auto: The audio is automatically switched to stereo or mono according to the
current broadcast signal.

Manual: The audio of the current channel is switched to mono. This setting is
applied to all channels in the same manner.
NN If the sound quality of the stereo program is not good, switch the audio to

If the current program has multi-track sound, you can select multi-track sound
to listen to the foreign language only or to both languages. If the current

The SPDIF (Sony Philips Digital InterFace) outputs an uncompressed digital audio

(SPDIF) format.

Anynet+ is a function that enables you to control all connected Samsung devices that
support Anynet+ with your Samsung TV’s remote. The Anynet+ system can be used
only with Samsung devices that have the Anynet+ feature. To be sure your Samsung
device has this feature, check if there is an Anynet+ logo on it.
